“As a musical theater major, talk to me the way you wish you could talk to them” is honestly such a comedy power play. Instantly hilarious, clever, and involves the crowd.
6:08 As a Canadian, I always find it amusing when Americans find out that we don’t really like them. We may like individual Americans, but America collectively? No, lol.
americans don't even like america collectively. Leftists hate the government, liberals hate leftists, conservatives hate liberals, and the far right hates immigrants and the government.
Not liking America the government is expected, but not liking Americans (especially considering those of us who suffer under the American government) is disheartening, honestly.
@@Ulyssa12 It’s not just politics but broadly general American culture. If the countries are houses on a street, America is seen like the one that throws loud block parties, has wild explosive blowups and family drama that everyone hears about, and doesn’t hesitate to be a Karen about the neighbours’ business-sometimes for their own interests and sometimes for collective interest of the neighbourhood. They can be fun and supportive neighbours and also obnoxious inconsiderate neighbours. Canada sees itself more like the quiet reserved house on the street that most other neighbours think well of. We have our own problems but we mostly keep it inside the home. To quote a song by Canadian comedy band The Arrogant Worms: “we won’t say that we’re better [than Americans], it’s just that we’re less worse.” Of course there are individual Canadians that love America. But speaking in broad general terms, that is the Canadian cultural attitude towards America.

I'm really impressed with how good Gianmarco is at improvising these bits. Far be it from me to want to inflate a theatre kid's ego but damn. These are chosen clips for sure so I'm not sure if all crowd work bits are that entertaining but I just love how he's spinning these stories! There's a delicate balance between ribbing, making fun of someone, and actually being respectful? This curious non-judgemental tone Gianmarco has really allows people to open up with whatever random stories they have, and because of it you can almost miss him absolutely destroy them sometimes. Cause it just doesn't feel that harsh in the end. And I really love the direction he goes with these questions, I know there are probably some rules of improv I have no idea about he's employing here so masterfully but he manages to spin someone's off handed comments into the funniest stories. What a guy.
My first memory is being left in a playpen alone all day, asking a family friend for more juice, and him laughing at me. I asked about this memory several times over childhood, I was 2 when it happened. They’d get upset with me and try to tell me it never happened. Until that family friend came to visit from Belgium and confirmed he had been told to go check on me and come right back. As an adult I realize I had been neglected for days on end while my parents were still acting like childless young adults running a festival for the free booze they got outta it and I was left in the volunteer trailer alone. My second memory is my preschool teacher crying about 9/11 as it’s actively happening on a small tv screen and she’s calling parents to come get us. I wish mine was just riding a bike lmao
I love this so much, GS never fails to make me laugh. It's such smart humour and so *fast* too, and it's always so funny. I know it's *meant* to be funny but GS always toes that line between cutting and self-depricating and it means even if you're the one being made fun of you're always in on the joke. It's such feel good humour and I click instantly every time I see a new video.

Damn, even the face characters at Disney are nepotism roles/hires? I don’t know if that “friend” of the Ugly Step Sister realizes she just revealed something she probably shouldn’t have. To make it to the point where you’ve aged out of the face character, gone through being the older characters, and then are still there, referred to as a legacy Snow White in a hiring position is extremely rare. There’s probably one person or a handful of who that could possibly be… Also to make it that long there you’d have to be the type of mean girl who casts your daughter’s bestie as an ugly step sister to last that long… so it checks out as real, lmao.
I just started watching this dude and I can’t work out if he’s woke or not.. some of the comments/jokes come off woke.. One video he seemed to support Kamala and put crap on someone who predicted Trump would win the election so it makes me wonder a few things.. I am an Aussie so the election was not personal for me..
Hello Gianmarco, I have been enjoying your comedy for a long time. I am only commenting this out of love. All those sets were great and you're a fun guy, but forcing this last person to be condemned to hell was not cool at all. Please try to send more people to heaven instead? :-) God bless
Disney pay is trash af. Wtf??? For all the trouble the mascots and roleplayers have to go through, they should be at least be paid $17-$20 an hour. Wtf
