"When those fleeting lives destined to die, forget their humbleness and sing praises of their glory, such will shake the very heavens and split the earth, and they shall know the wrath of the divine. The inevitable incarnation of destruction. So, you show yourself at last. Since we last saw each other, it has been 20 years for us and 20,000 years for you. It's been a while... Oh, King of Destruction."
Man the franchise sure has come a long way from being a representation and metaphor for the atomic and later hydrogen bombs and for the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki spanning over 30 movies,2 cartoon series,2 animes,a really goofy kids t.v. show and one live action t.v. series based on the Monsterverse and winning an academy award for best special effects in the current film Godzilla:Minus One and I'm sure if he was still alive today Tomoyuki Tanaka would be really surprised and impressed with how far the monster he created all those years ago has come and it all started with a man in a rubber monster suit weighing over a 100 pounds.
