My Sweet Perspective, I wonder what happened to Abby Garland. I was shocked that Oliver actually like Nas lyrics. Great Recap My Sweet Perspective. I love Emperor Of Ocean Park. It would be something if Kimmer had something to do with Oliver Garland's death. Great Recap 🔥

I think Talk wife will end of cheating on him with his brother. I was confused a little. Hopefully it will get better.

I think Kimber is so dang unlikeable and I wouldn't run anything past her. I still haven't checked out episode 2 yet, so hopefully it's better.

Yes, guys. Please continue to watch the show. It’s really good. Episode 7 is the best because you thoroughly understand the judge & his daughter Abigail. Please give the show another chance.

Read the novels. So not what the story is. Very weak adaptation of a deeply conflicted black elite family - generations of it! distorted to fit “ the culture.” And completely disingenuous concerning the authors obvious affection for a certain class of people and its radical counter cultural views.

Read the novels. So not what the Emperor is all about! Very weak adaptation of a novel or trilogy of novels about a deeply conflicted black elite family - generations of it! This is distorted to fit “ the culture.” And completely disingenuous concerning the authors obvious affection for a certain class of people and its radical counter the present culture views. Think A nicer kinder pro black but conservative Candace Owens. And imagine a Judge moreHigginbottom than Thomas - whose antics make him a caricature of himself if you’re aware of his latest exploits. And to your point about unlikable women - that’s definitely of the moment. No rap lyrics. A Pro Nixon black family not pro Bush. So it’s really set in the 1970s - whole different Black culture. Likable even heroic Black men and women to ponder. Robots just out of film school must have written this to appeal to a current generation. Totally lost in translation… Read the novels. The author is a Yale Eng Lit Professor. Good writing of course.

Correction: the author is a Law School Professor at Yale; thus the rather tedious and sometimes convoluted detail in his novels. But still well worth a read for another view and legitimate view of Black life. Remember your college associates who never attended a BSU meeting, who refused all things Black on campus from a conservative but principled position? Right. They have back ground and are still around. All of them are NOT like Owens, Thomas or West! Elitism, lifting as we climb isn’t a bad thing. Trouble today is our contemporary elites just climb pretty much just like whites scorning all empathy for others ; they don’t lift. Rather like the Power Universe! This could have been done so much better. Love your reviews.

I'm definitely going to add the book to my reading list. I really wanted to connect with this show, as I love most of what MGM+ distributes. This just fell flat for me.
