All the hard work is done, now is just the waiting for the corals to grow!
I was finally able to head back over to Rico's Aquariums to see how his 500 gallon reef tank build was doing. What do you think of the progress so far?
Where are his Corals did he sell them?
No he killed most of them because hes a jackass, but he wont talk about it because hes perfect.

Hi in my opinion we stay away from Rico's Aquarium he's nothing but an animal killer he does the pop and drop method no quarantine he's already killed three Achilles tanks does it mean know when enough is enough Achilles tang there. For experienced hobbyist only tell him to knock it off not killing anymore animals do to not quarantining we already reported him to the Tang police that's probably why his first channel got shut down he was gambling and selling woman's clothing and having drunk live streams
Man that was a good video I kept getting flashes of everything being grown out. I think this will be the best tank on RUclips period!

Why are you making it seem like he’s intentionally killing these fish your painting him to be a bad guy. Don’t act like you have never had a fish or two die on you. Like I said if you don’t like the method or content LEAVE!! Or are you just sticking around to keep reporting him!! People like you are killing the hobby!!!
Southern Indiana Reefing we just informed Marine Depot and Bulk Reef Supply not to deal with Rico's Aquarium and they put it down on their computer system

Honestly, it's probably one of the most beautiful tanks I've ever seen. But, that camera is what's really bringing it to life.

This seriously helped me out a lot. I'm moving this year and I want peninsula 480g at 96x36x36 and I had been contemplating what to do for flow. I wanna have a foot or so on each end for the fish to swim around so I"m thinking of going with two Aquatic Life T5 hybrids with 2 Kessil AP700s and I can add a 3rd if we need to bump it up. Loved the video mang!

I plan on doing a 6 month and then a 1 year to document the process. The 12 month point is usually when all the explosive growth happens.

Nice, definitely. People end up with dual sumps for many reasons but a bulkhead will only make one side leak proof. The second gasket will require silicon or the water will seep through the threads. There are cheap Rubber Couplings that will connect sumps.

Beautiful tank! #tankgoals lol looks like there might be some Ich on the blue hippo? I noticed some white spots on his fins. Could be damage to the pectorals from shipping or flukes tho.

It is a very expensive hobby.
@@tidalgardens Isn't it a really variable cost hobby? You can get started with a Nano and that's relatively inexpensive, albeit harder to care for because it's less stable. That's maybe $300-ish while Rico's must be in the low to mid five figures. Cheer up, Cichilids23. At least it's not boating ... LOL.

This aquarium is glass and is my preference. I don't like how acrylic scratches so easily.

How big of a tank do you need to keep a cleaner wrasse alive?
Orphek's spectrum can be adjusted. They grow corals better than Radions :)
Another reef setup I saw used an Orphek over a frag tank and it produced very good results: ruclips.net/video/lGs_kO8lFOE/видео.html

You mentioned 250 PAR at the surface, 100 at the bottom - is this an acceptable range in your opinion for a mixed reef such as this? Are the hammers and acans going to be happy with 100 par average at the bottom?
