- This is my first SALON VISIT in 2020! That's right -- I hadn't seen my stylist since 2019. My hair was in desperate need of a good trim and some TLC. I received a SILK PRESS, TRIM and BODY CURL service on my fine natural hair.

About my hair
I have fine, chemical-free hair. Chemical free means no relaxer...no color...no nothing. :) I mainly wear my fine, natural hair in TWIST OUT styles. For me, twist outs are a protective style that have allowed me to retain length while enjoying wearing my hair 'out.'
I also love for my fine natural hair to have lots of volume!

How often I see my stylist
I like to have my analyzed and treated by a professional as needed. Because my hair is relatively healthy, I only see my stylist every 3-4 months. That's when I get a professional trim and get a silk press on my natural hair.
In this video, I had my salon visit during COVID. My stylist ensured that she and I were both safe, and the space was very well sanitized.

I absolutely loved this SILK PRESS service on my fine natural hair. Not only did I get a silk press, but my fine hair also needed a good trim. I hadn't had a trim in 9 months - wow! Tia put in just the curls I like - BODY CURLS! My hair was shiny, silky and full of body.

As I was growing up in Queens, New York the salons that my sister and I went to produced results like this ALL the time and they were ALWAYS crowded. We called it "BOUNCING & BEHAVING" hair! 😁. We'd walk down the street and heads would turn😊. It seems like everyone wants bone straight now. Hair that has been blown within an inch of its life. This is the type of results I look for from a hair "stylist". If I want my hair to be cooked to the point curls will no longer occur then I could do that by myself at home - why pay someone else to do that? I want someone who knows what they're doing and want my hair to look as healthy as I can possibly get it.
Keep going to this lady, she knows what it is that she is doing!!! Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!! My hair is very similar to yours in texture as it is also fine, even the color is similar to yours. I wish I lived in the neighborhood of this salon because I'd know and feel confident in the outcome of my hair when she is finished. I bet when you walked out into the street the wind just lifted your hair and it bounced with every step without you having to "swing" or "toss" it about. I miss good salons like the one you went to. 😢

My hair was definitely bouncing & behaving!! 😁 My stylist is located in Atlanta. We’re in GA. She knows what she’s doing for sure. She’s working out of home right now due to COVID.

I just love your hair😍😍. It’s so shiny and healthy. Your cousin did an awesome job. My Aunt is a license cosmetologist and even taught cosmetology at our local college but she moved away years ago so haven’t been back to a salon since she left. Too scared to trust anyone else lol. I totally understand the humidity factor- I’m in GA. Something she puts on my hair helps to keep it silky & straight, for the most part, unless I get it wet. I’m good for about a good week before I lose some of the ‘amazingness.’ I love it when you stop by- thank you!!

Hi Latoya! If I don’t sweat too much it’ll stay looking pretty good for about 5/6 days. My hair is really soft, so the curls get really loose. If I don’t use flexi rods then I wrap it. I use a scarf & a bonnet. I can get the style to last even longer during Winter. Thank you so much for watching my video and chatting with me. It really means a lot. ✨

NaturallyCorporate you’re very welcome and thank you for sharing. I always lose my straight styles after the first day because the water just doesn’t want me to be great lol. Then if I wrap it at night I sweat so then the front part gets frizzy. I get so frustrated lol

Hi! I flat ironed at 420 -- BUT I don’t do that anymore. Now I stick to 380-400 max.
@@NaturallyCorporate thanks! ok i have a guage for my own hair. the individual strands are very fine so I have to be careful. The last thing I want to do is burn my hair! I'm still researching thermal products and techniques but my hair LOVES to just be left alone, lol

@@NaturallyCorporate hi! I'm not sure which ones are good, I've heard about Chi and just bought Lusti brand Argan Oil 4 in 1 leave in conditioner which is also a thermal heat protecter. Are you familiar with it? I haven't tried it yet. But I did use the Wrap Set Lotion (Firm Hold, the blue one) which is also a heat protecter but my hair has already reverted...not sure if I can get it straight without damage.
