I get so much enjoyment from watching you playing Boshy. I'd never be able to play this in a million years, but Lord knows you make me happy when I'm drunk. Thank you Psy.
This has probably already been mentioned, but the music is from terranigma (terrific rpg for the SNES, which was apparently never released in the US). It's the underworld theme that plays once you leave your village.
I was wondering why there has been no Boshy in the last couple days, and then I realized - Psy is a Ninja. He is currently meditating, preparing himself mentally for the epic finale of I Wanna Be The Boshy.
Its the overworld theme from an action adventure called Terranigma. It was released on the super nintendo but only in Japan and Europe. I guess thats why people here dont recognize it immediately
It is that pokemon. You can have him as a follower, he shoots projectiles... so pretty much makes your damage more effective. Psy used it for a while in the beginning, but then, somehow he completely forgot it exists.
Pretty sure the music is from Terranigma. It's an SNES game whose starting world map is inside of a hollow planet, which is warped via Mode 7 much in the same way that this world is.
The box is in Danish. Sol Gryn is a large brand of oat meal here. The writing on the box says "eat your delicious flakes of oat meal every morning" if I remember it correctly. 😊
Solgryn is a 3 phase fight, with two transition phases and a 3 part third phase. Phase 1 is this complete nonsense. Phase 2 is a very elongated bullet hell sin wave and a boss tactical suicide. Phase 3 is a horizontal sin wave, a montage of all the other bosses, and finally another long bullet hell.
It's sounds like something from a final RPG dungeon like one of the SNES Final Fantasy games. It's obviously not FF, but it's beautiful enough to be something by Ueamatsu.
Thanks man, I know the game, but haven't played it enough to recall the tune that's probably from the beginning of the game? Crystal blue and all that stuff?
Close! It's Danish. Solgryn means "Sun grain(s)" in Danish, translated literally. The box says "De lækre kerneristede havregryn" which translates into something like "The delicious core roasted oatmeal." Havregryn actually means oat grain(s), so a truer translation would be "The delicious core roasted oat grains." It's a common breakfast cereal in Denmark, produced by OTA (part of Quaker Oats) for the first time in 1898.
And so it begins, the "I'm too stubbron not to beat this game" is either going to to turn Psy Batshit crazy to the point of non-sensical rambleings and facal expressions of a shell-shock victim or a couple weeks from now he will beat Solgryn and a long, painful, sadistic, hilarious Lets play of Boshy shall be completed.
Of course, considering the guy who made I Wanna Be The Boshy is Danish and apparently goes by the alias Solgryn, it makes sense. Didn't know IWBTB was made by a Dane, though. The more you know.
Terranigma was never released in the US (only Japan/Europe), thus many of you probably don't know about it. It stands equally with the likes of Secret of Mana in terms of being a great RPG jewel.
the sol gryn thing is danish and it means:" sun grains the delicious core toasted oatgrains. eat you're OTA sun grains every morning. :) trust me i'm from Denmark
Psy, I just want to boost your morale so I've found this commentary on another video of a guy who beats it in 8 min: "It took about 12hours to beat this boss. In addition, it took about 6hours to training on Ez-mode."
watch?v=S3mqIDAVObA Its the Terranigma Underworld theme. It was/is an rpg for the SNES and was only released in europe. That is why it is not tha much known. So if you havent played it i strongly recommend doing so.
You are the Psy, and only you can merge with the one they call Issac to become the legendary Psysac, to defeat the evil Sol Gryn and prevent the distruction of all mankind!
The box reads:
"SOLGRYN (roughly translated "Sun flakes")
The delicious grain-roasted oatmeal
Eat your OTA Solgryn.
Every morning."
And yes, it's Danish.
I get so much enjoyment from watching you playing Boshy. I'd never be able to play this in a million years, but Lord knows you make me happy when I'm drunk. Thank you Psy.
the music is from Terranigma (songname = Setting Off on a Journey)
it´s an action-rpg on the SNES
This has probably already been mentioned, but the music is from terranigma (terrific rpg for the SNES, which was apparently never released in the US). It's the underworld theme that plays once you leave your village.
20:37 -- the sound of cool composure.
I started watching this video on my laptop, but realized that I needed to switch to my desktop with full 5.1 speakers for its epicness.
I was wondering why there has been no Boshy in the last couple days, and then I realized - Psy is a Ninja. He is currently meditating, preparing himself mentally for the epic finale of I Wanna Be The Boshy.
yes the music is from Terranigma for the SNES. The game was only released in Europe and Japan which is why most people in the US don't know about it.
This music is from Terranigma. The track is called Underworld.
The last place I expected to see a Danish cereal product was probably in a Boshy video from Psy.
Solgryn brings back memories of my school years.
I feel like Solgryn is throwing a temper tantrum when it does its moves
psy, this boss is actually en entire MENU and you're going through the entire cooking process.
Its the overworld theme from an action adventure called Terranigma. It was released on the super nintendo but only in Japan and Europe. I guess thats why people here dont recognize it immediately
It is that pokemon.

The label on the package/boss is in Danish. It reads:
"OTA Solgryn - The delicious toasted oatmeal. Eat your OTA Solgryn every morning" :)
Anyone else a massive fan of Terranigma? RPG on the SNES. So damn good. That's where this soundtrack is from. Go play it!
How much progress Psy makes from the beginning of the video to the end is quite amazing
The box is in Danish. Sol Gryn is a large brand of oat meal here. The writing on the box says "eat your delicious flakes of oat meal every morning" if I remember it correctly. 😊
The final path theme is from Terranigma, the underworld theme
Solgryn is a 3 phase fight, with two transition phases and a 3 part third phase.
Phase 1 is this complete nonsense. Phase 2 is a very elongated bullet hell sin wave and a boss tactical suicide. Phase 3 is a horizontal sin wave, a montage of all the other bosses, and finally another long bullet hell.

That "other long bullet hell" is his 4th phase.
Thanks man, I know the game, but haven't played it enough to recall the tune that's probably from the beginning of the game? Crystal blue and all that stuff?
music: Terranigma - Underworld Theme
its cool that the boss deaths show up in the top right so we know how many times he died in a given seg
the end is near...then its "the guy 2" hope all us giblits are ready for that
Music is from terranigma, the underworld music.
Close! It's Danish.
Solgryn means "Sun grain(s)" in Danish, translated literally. The box says "De lækre kerneristede havregryn" which translates into something like "The delicious core roasted oatmeal." Havregryn actually means oat grain(s), so a truer translation would be "The delicious core roasted oat grains."

I think it might be something from castlevania (i have no clue) just basing that assumption based on the level design.
The music is clearly from Terranigma
No Chrono Trigger, no FF, no Leisure Suit Larry, ...
TERRANIGMA!
One of the best snes rpg by the way
Last boss is a box of danish oatmeal. Did not see that coming.
No, the music is from Terranigma, its the underworld theme
And so it begins, the "I'm too stubbron not to beat this game" is either going to to turn Psy Batshit crazy to the point of non-sensical rambleings and facal expressions of a shell-shock victim or a couple weeks from now he will beat Solgryn and a long, painful, sadistic, hilarious Lets play of Boshy shall be completed.
He did get him, but I think gastly confuses him more than it helps him...
I love how the sound for his lasers is hyper beam from pokemon red :P
"IF THIS FUCKER HAS A 2ND FORM THEN I'M FUCKED"
You're fucked.
this will take more episodes to beat than what you have to date
I'm extremely happy that you're releasing videos on a regular basis again. I love you Psy.
If you want to save a half hour: he doesn't beat it at the end.
Solgryn is a brand of breakfast wheat here in Denmark :) it means Sun Wheat in Danish.
its also called "Underworld" as it is playing when traveling the underworld, obviously :D
Of course, considering the guy who made I Wanna Be The Boshy is Danish and apparently goes by the alias Solgryn, it makes sense.
Didn't know IWBTB was made by a Dane, though. The more you know.
its the underworld theme from Terranigma for SNES. the best fucking rpg ever made
that beginning... epileptic seizure central
Teh music is from TLOZ: Majoras Mask, or at least I am pretty sure that it is
and Nice Vid man.
On box translated: "OTA SUN GRAIN
The delicious roasted oatseeds.
Eat your OTA Sungrain each morning"
the translation of the box has made me sad, I thought it was supposed to be Soylent Green
Terranigma was never released in the US (only Japan/Europe), thus many of you probably don't know about it. It stands equally with the likes of Secret of Mana in terms of being a great RPG jewel.
If parents had as much dedication to their children as Psy does to this game we would have already colonized mars and gotten rid of all racism.
the music is from terranigma an SNES action rpg :>
At the 7 minute mark, I was thinking of Touhou.. but I never played it.
the sol gryn thing is danish and it means:" sun grains the delicious core toasted oatgrains. eat you're OTA sun grains every morning. :) trust me i'm from Denmark
I feel a 6 vid marathon coming from Psy in the next few days...
The song is from castlevania
Eating solgryn as I watch this. So epic in a small sort of way.
God. I have never heard anyone who can't speak danish try to pronounce it before. THAT WAS HILARIOUS!
the music at the end is from one of the Ace Combat final battles, i think Ace Combat 4?
Watch for when the boss starts exploding btw. Makes me feel like making fried egg..
maybe when he tries to read the stuff in danish. was pretty funny, but thats just cause we know what it should sound like i guess
I laughed uncontrollably for more than a minute once you saw Sonic.
Because we all know that with great power come great chicks!
Megalith, Agus Dei... OMG that music. I love it.
Haha as a dane I laughed so hard when he read the Solgryn box out loud.. xD
Pro tip: to dodge the first phase stand on the edge of the platform to the right run left while shooting then jump to dodge
Psy, I just want to boost your morale so I've found this commentary on another video of a guy who beats it in 8 min:
"It took about 12hours to beat this boss.
In addition, it took about 6hours to training on Ez-mode."
OTA solgryn is a brand for oatmeal, has existed for a long time and is a healthy breakfast.
That's right trivia on the tube
a Danish breakfast product as the last boss ?? FUCK YEAH
second and third form from the way I see it and it uses skills from all the previous bosses
Solgryn - shoutout to all the mad Danes out there
final boss, its been a long, cussing-filled journey, and we are almost at the end :D
"How many parts has it been... doesn't matter this is the last stage! It almost over!"
*sees 6:51
"Well the Let's Play is at least half over"
Wait till he finds out there's a third form...
watch?v=S3mqIDAVObA
Its the Terranigma Underworld theme. It was/is an rpg for the SNES and was only released in europe. That is why it is not tha much known. So if you havent played it i strongly recommend doing so.
Translation: "Sun Grain
The delicious core roasted oatmeal
Eat your OTA oatmeal every morning"
Om nom nom nom nom!
I rofl'ed so hard. Harder than the first time the dragon boss killed Psy and the num num song played.
3 phases and an intermission.
lol the boss magically flips when on the left
terranigma - underworld music
You are the Psy, and only you can merge with the one they call Issac to become the legendary Psysac, to defeat the evil Sol Gryn and prevent the distruction of all mankind!
Music is from Terranigma
Terranigma, a rare J-RPG released in Europe and not in the US.
Understatement of the year...
Terranigma underworld theme, aka best game ever made
Yeah, what is the music for the start? Couldn't find it myself :(
Sol Gryn is like these oats u eat for breakfast, like cold oat meal. Its for old people without teeth
solgryn is a type of oatmeal
I gotta get leave soon to drive 8 hours to Georgia and instead I am watching Boshy.
I'm pretty sure this is music from the SNES game terranigma
wow final boss is a box of raisins... it's like 1st grade all over again!
If one more person uses an "H" in "Gastly" I think i'm gonna snap.
Psy is missing a secret weapon which would make things alot easier!
This fight is really, really hard on the eyeballs haha.
The music sounds like something from Final Fantasy Crystal Quest/Mystic Quest.
Danish. And honestly, I like Psy's pronunciation of the language, better than my people's.
He has a 2nd and 3rd phase.
I'm from norway and since Danish, Swedish and Norwegian is very alike, I knew it had to be one of those 3 ^^
Am I the only one thinking that the final boss is about Solyent Green?
i know this is a little far in the future, but you should totally find Kappa (secret boss) and take him on after solgryn.
