gradius stage gets a lot easier once you realize: 1. the enemies doesn't go away, the same mobs keep scrolling left to right. 2. with one speed power up you can nudge down just enough to shoot the cannons. (tanks) do this asap.
I have a Mac/iTunes screensaver. But: 1. It registers when I'm doing something. 2. It allows me to play songs from the screensaver. and 3. It looks pretty badass. =P

If this isn't a secret, it's an epic troll. I also think there's a secret right where his save point it. That carpet of spikes must lead somewhere. He can get across if he double-jumps, hits the save box, resets, double-jumps, hits the save box, resets, double-jumps. But it seems like he forgot that he can do that.
"I can't get down there to get more power-ups because there are too many bullets coming at me...." All I see is youtube stop and a screen saying "An error occurred".
I used to own at plane-shooters, but I agree that sidescrollers are about 10 times harder then forwarscrollers. especialy if your speed is being manipulated during gameplay.
hey this might be this be a random thing but at the part right before the boss there is that part with water and there is a spot that isn't moving could you try and jump in that. (you know there wouldn't be a single hole in that wall for no reason)
There is a way to kill those cannons at the bottom, just kill everything at the start and collect double powerup and the camp at the bottom (right corner) it will save you loy of time!
Psy, once you get speed you can actually shoot the tanks - you just need to hug to bottom however if you go too far down you will die so be careful! Also it is okey for your plane to get hit, aslong as your character dosn't get hit you are okey and he sits about in the middle of the plane. Thumbs up so that Psy can see.
OMG Psy there's an OBVIOUS SECRET in the water right before the Gradius! Pass the guy between the blocks on the left and let him drop in the water where the waves aren't moving! You don't even have to jump to reach it!!!

Psy. This is addressed to you. Screen savers on modern monitors serve absolutely they used to keep the screen from imprinting itself on the monitor if it was left the same for to long. That is no longer an issue. For your own sanity. Stop using your screen saver, it is quite literally, useless.
There's power in numbers, so I repeat: TURN YOUR SCREENSAVER OFF! It's an outdated mechanic from the 90s that's not even remotely helpfull on anything other than a CRT or Plasma Monitor; and even there only if you'd otherwise leave one frame/picture on it for hours!
