he probably would never see this, but goddamn James is looking so healthy and good lately. I hope he continues to have good support around him to live his best life, it’s been visibly positive for him. all love always to James and the guys 💛
in these sorts of videos he recorded before going into rehab he seemed a lot more disconnected, not interested in what he was doing. Even his laughter was sort of fake. All of this is the opposite now! Wish him all the best!
@@scrivster Don't tell me what to say and what not. I like James, I really do and Metallica in general, but he does look bad, tired, overall extremly exhausted. Yes, I like his portrayal of the album itself but he still looks extremly bad. Can't find another word for it.
Hey James, just wanted to say thank you for all these years you have put into the greatest metal music ever!! I grew up,watching you guys grow through the decades..Very inspiring to see you still out there & sharing things with us!!
You hit it right on the head, James. Your struggles through the early years of your life are well known. I too had it rough through the first 18 years of my life and it’s only been through my fifties have I been able to truly look back on those years and realize how the shaped the human I became. Thank you for surviving your struggles. We’d be worse off without you
Can’t wait to hear this albums expression and heartfelt blessings of a matured life on a raucous road. And any young person reading this, know that everything will be ok. Keep your head up and enjoy the time given to us
I cant explain how happy I felt after hearing his voice and seeing him doing well, although I feel extremely sad on seeing looking so old, no one is forever, but I will follow and love Metallica even when they won't be here, I love you guys, thank you for being part of my life
I just said the same thing. Its beyond hard trying to grasp the fact that I'm probably going to be alive the day these guys (any of them) leave this plane of existence. I know it happens, I know it's natural, I know I've never met any of them personally. But when someone is with you throughout your whole life through their music, their supportive messages of encouragement buried beneath lyrics that scare others off, I think you bond deeply with those people. I can't even describe the respect I felt hearing "Orion" in the Paradise Lost documentary. These guys aren't just musicians, they are human beings full of love, who built an empire off the sadness or despair that tried to grip them throughout life. Metallica have been here for me more than anyone in my own family, and I've never met them. I 100% love these human beings as if they came from the same vajayjay. Theyve impacted me so many times in many ways over the years. I'm proud to have the "And Justice For All" star tattooed on my wrist, it was one of my first, and no matter what, Metallica will always live in my heart, and will always have the BIGGEST space.
Hetfield looked pretty good for his age for a long time, but it's just before he went into rehab where seemed to suddenly look older. At least he's healthy, and in a good place now.
I love how you guys are still going strong, but, I can't lie, seeing the age in his face terrifies me. I've been sad over losing other artists, but Metallica was there for me more than anything or anyone, and I'm gonna curl up and cry like a baby the day James or any of them ascend that stairway. Please, please take care of yourselves guys.
I've always looked up to papa Het! I just want to meet him and shake his hand and thank him for his inspirations and the wonderful music that I've been enjoying for the last 21 years and counting.

If I would rewind the tape ... I will never change the part that I discovered Metallica. It's part of me and for the rest of my life . Thank you so much !
This guy changed my life with his lyrics and music. I got the chance to see them back in 2017 and seeing him and the guys up on stage... I forgot the world existed their entire set! I wish I could meet him, shake his hand and thank him for his contributions to the world.
From 80s to 90s nd still in 22th they are a evergreen someone said old is a gold🌟yes proud moment for me coz I still listening👂there hard rock performance..
You're a good dude, James. Always respected you. I bought Ride the Lightning on cassette from Wal-Mart in 8th grade after my friends introduced me to Metallica in '98. Your lyrics and playing always resonated with me. Much love to you, Kirk, Lars, Robert and your whole team that keeps the dream alive. Finding peace with yourself is a lifetime of work, but worth the struggle.
James, you have become so wise in your later years. So respectable to enhance yourself which will obviously project through your music. CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR IT!!!
1986..sitting in my living room listening to a local metal show on the radio and on comes THE THING THAT SHOULD NOT BE...Love the band ever since...saw them live 6 times ...You guys rock
He is much healthier and calm than any time in his life. He's a fighter and we're glad to still have him among us. And this new album just rocks--how is it possible for 60-year-old men to make such music? Amazing!
Metallica and especially James was a reason that I survived my 72 seasons by becoming a musician. I was under heavy family abuse and war so James was like a father, an idol to whom I would aspire and lead my life. Today I'm a happy, healthy professional musician who can make a living out of it. Thank you James.
I am a Black man who has had the pleasure of listening to this man and his crew rock out since I started listening to his great band in 1987! Thanks, James and Metallica!
Hey, James. If you read this. I love the inspiration look back to forward. Ive no doubt I'll love the new album like all before it. Your playing inspired me to grab a guitar and play with Master of puppets. Hu hm showing the age. I'm still rockin and loving it. Keep it up guy's.
Uncle Het! Thanks for putting it out there! PS: Love love love the strings & stash cans. Got them on a couple choice Epi & Ibanez hollow bodied daily drivers and tuned nice and deep. Buttery smooth and sustain for days. Surprisingly great for my not so metal playing these days. I look forward to the album! :)
