This Skull is speaking my language. Ah, what a wonderful world for a Dapperling. Plenty of land to start with, fresh meat delivered to your doorstep, and a chance to start a cult to teach the ways of Aavak. Truly a paradise.
I like the writing already. "I am cheap labour." Oh grud, that cracked me up.
FYI, the girl in the tavern is singing a song that is a take on a classic Marilyn Monroe song.

this is one of the most beautifull games ive seen, i loooove the pixel art in this res, and the footsteps remind me mechcommander and when they were excited about those so much. gotta get it!

This game really suits Aavak's playstyle, and I will definitely follow the would-rather-not-be gravekeeper's escapades. Lovely tour of the map so far. Hopefully there is enough content to make a good series. But, I don't mind waiting for the release version to see more, either.

Well, this genre of games are not usually my type of thing, but the concept is something truly original, I'll have to give this one a try. Thanks for bringing it to us, keep up the great work. :)

This game looks awesome. Takes a simple concept like being a grave keeper, gives a beautiful art style, and the plot seems interesting too. Definitely keeping my eye on it.

Stone graves give more beauty points don’t bother with the wooden ones- making the stone graves gives you a lot of red ones. Sleep at night, you’ll gain energy faster when you go to bed.
You made me buy the ALPHA and im very happy with it so far! been playing some hours today. I got addicted by only watching your video, i have been thinking about this game like every day for a week now. and its really cozy game to play.
Sometimes im just running around doing nothing because of tasks that i need to wait for the right "cycle" and I dont know what to do meanwhile i wait, I think that can be a bit annoying, I know there is alot stuff to do, but its a bit hard with no structure sometimes. but im still enjoying the game! haha

Aavak, I think I’m going to love the game and series, but (and this may only be me) I felt overwhelmed with everything you showed. I hope throughout the series you go into more depth about different mechanics of places throughout the town
Yup, just wanted to give a 'lay of the land' whistlestop tour in the first episode, as we're likely not to visit many of the places for a while outside of this episode; we'll be going into much more detail with the places we are actively involved with in following episodes :)
Seems like a perfect game to port to mobile/nintendo switch :)

Also love how you speak and get into character for the game. Really makes the viewer get more into the storyline along with you. :) dont stop and keep it up.

Aavak make sure you do no sprint for a duration before speaking to an NPC or entering an event in the current version.
The graphics are the most beautiful I've ever seen from pixel art. I'd get this game for that alone. The rest looks fun too.

Getting the itch to play this again. Haven't played since time of release and i had no idea it got DLC so time to binge and dust off my corpse lol.

I love the pixel art style. Plus useing the pixel art style helps games age vary well.
Agreed. Having a strong style, rather than just trying to go for photo-realism seems to really help games remain pleasing on the eye.

Gotta wonder why nobody questions why the gravedigger always has so much meat (a luxury in the time period). He keeps no animals, hunting's illegal unless you're a noble, so where does it come from? It can't be corpses. ...Can it?
Aavak, the day symbols seem to be alchemy symbols, so they would reasonably be named the way our days are - after the corresponding astral body.
So you clearly have Sunday (Sunday), Moonday (Monday), Marsday (Tuesday), and Venusday (Friday) but am not sure what the other two are supposed to be. Probably Mercuryday (Wednesday) and Jupiterday (Thursday) but they don't quite look like the typical symbols. The one looks more like the symbol for Taurus and you don't appear to have a Saturnday (Saturday) it seems.
If it helps for commentary, I'd recommend calling them by that nomenclature.
Fun fact, I use more or less the same system in "Thelema." 38D
Yeah, the names are slightly different depending on whether it's Romantic or Germanic, as to whether you use Roman or Norse deities.
In Romantic: Domingo (Dominion / Sun), Lunes (Lunar / Moon), Martes (Mars), Miercoles (Mercury / Hermes), Jueves (Jupiter), Viernes (Venus), Sabado (Sabbath / Saturn)
In Germanic: Sunday (Sun), Monday (Moon), Tuesday (Tyr / Mercury), Wednesday (Woden / Odin / Jupiter), Thursday (Thor / Mars), Friday (Frigg / Freya / Venus), Saturday (Saturn)
The holy days of various religions follow this as well. So like Christianity is based on Jesus as the sun god, hence Sunday. Judaism is based on the ancient Saturnalian cult, hence Saturday sabbath. Islam is based on the cult of Venus, hence Friday.
There's a religion (I think it's paganism) that has Wednesday as its holy day but I forget which one. Judaism and Islam also have a lunar calendar versus Christian solar calendar.
The days are, according to the game wiki, names of 6 of the 7 deadly sins.
I just bought this game today and I'm excited to start this let's play because I absolutely loved your stardew valley series! You deserve way more subs with your charming personality and good choice of games :D

I loved punch club.! It was one of my favorite games and also one of the few games I've ever been able to start on PC and finish on my phone. It was clutch on a vacation that got a little too relaxing, lol

That monster game, The zombie game, A game about being a cruel dictator for the good of humanity, End of the world simulator 3000 and worst of all -shudder- a game about cardboard. Now he is moving on to a game about being a gravekeeper with a sinister undead skull

I love this game. It does everything so well. I have not beat it yet but I am not sure how you win at it. Church 50 and graveyard 175 we will see. Farming both crops and bodies, dungeon to explore , and zombies?!?! oh yeah this game rules.
