When I first saw this I thought that was a weird mistake or a lack of rehearsal honestly. But yeah it is definitely super intentional. Super heavy drag on a lot of the hits. Pretty interesting
This is the ultimate version of Pete's music. The live bass and drums make it a whole lot better. The studio albums don't flow 1/8 as well as this. Fcking masterpiece.

I saw this iteration of his band live at the Empty Bottle in Chicago in 2018. Was one of the last notable shows I saw before 2020, besides some numerous house shows.
