Hey Pat, I’m in your “Smart From Scratch” course. This is one of my favourite videos you have done yet. I’ve joined lots of Facebook groups to share my blogs in but always worry about weather this is good conduct and the results are often minimal anyways. Contacting the admin to feature them on my site, build a relationship, promote and provide value for them in hopes that they will do the same for me seems like a way smarter and less controversial strategy. Thanks for the great tips!
Man, your videos have been so on point lately. Exactly the types of things that help me with where I'm at. Thanks Pat! The collaborations is such a huge huge huge part.
Great tip on getting connected with influencers who already have trust of their audience. A goal of mine to get connected with other parenting youtube channels and collab for my "Parent Pacifier" channel but getting connected with group owners and admins could even be stronger. Always look forward to your new daily youtube content, thanks Pat!
Thanks Pat! Looking forward to implementing the advice. Full effort in one area is the best advice, imo. Trying to focus on too many things can hinder progress in any one direction. Too much noise these days. Keep the videos coming!

So many good points here Pat. Question: Having trouble wrapping my head around inviting a guest podcaster in the same space. Maybe this is an insecurity thing, but I', weighing out what helps us versus what hurts us as far as guests go. Hope that makes sense!
Hi Pat. Thanks for another great lesson. The focus aspect you share is a major takeaway. It’s so easy to spread ourselves thin and burn out trying to master multiple tactics simultaneously- while only yielding partial results. Tons of great tips as usual! Thanks for the value you bring! Gino
Hey Jason! You were chosen based on your early comment to win an SPI pin! Please email pat@smartpassiveincome.com and we'll hook you up :) For everyone else tuning in, be sure to subscribe to get notifications when new videos are posted!
Thanks Pat! Great advice as we launch and grow our new show, FORGED. Where we ask creatives and entertainment industry professionals, "What forged their path?". I had never heard of Answer the Public. I'm definitely going to check that out!
Thanks Pat, great to get some pointers. Its encouraging, and I think going deep on 1 or 2 methods is what I need to do for my partners couples counselling and life coaching practice. We have created some great content, just got to get the eye balls on there - and do it efficiently.
Thanks for the tips Pat. Great stuff. Strange... I don't know why, but I feel like watching Back To The Future. You should put an affiliate link to the Blue Ray box set in the description. (Subliminal affiliate marketing :)
Hi Pat! GREAT video. Question: How do I know which keywords are right for me? If I am a starting podcast it probably isn't a good idea to have "marketing" or "cooking" as a keyword as they will be too competitive. 1) Is there a tool like "TubeBuddy" that shows competition and search pool for keywords on itunes or other platforms? 2) If there was such a tool what are your recommendation on the search pool size (I guess as a small podcast it makes sense for key words that are non-competitive, but should we go for a search pool of 1 000 hits or 900 000 hits? Very curious if anyone has insights here!
Starting my new media/gaming podcast called Screen Time. I started out this podcast (Chalk Talk) growing my social media to around 1.7k in my first month, but my problem was keep everyone engaged. I post very informative stuff but I was only getting around 70-120 likes a post. With me starting this new show, any recommendations on what I can do to help with this?
What keyword tool would you recommend using for podcasts? I've noticed that keyword tools are not equally effective for different mediums, i.e., Tube Buddy works great for You Tube, but not for blogs (and vice versa). I currently use a reliable keyword tool for blogging that rates metrics for a specific keyword to be Strong , but when I use that SAME keyword in my You Tube titles, Descriptions, and Tags (based on that keyword tool) the keyword does not rank well. When I later search for that keyword on Tube Buddy, it shows it was a poor keyword (hence the reason it isn't coming up frequently in YT searches and thus lower views that expected) , however when using SAME keyword for my blog post it ranked high, based on that other KW tool. I realize there is MORE that goes into keyword search than simply using a KW tool - BUT my disparate results for the same KW tell me that maybe I should be using different KW tools for blogging, vlogging, and podcasting! The different KW tools aren't even close apples to apples!
Hi Pat! I LOVE your videos & THANK YOU for making them. You helped me launch a podcast as well as many other things. I need some help & I'm wondering if you could help me out or make a video about this! I have the $15 plan for my podcast on Libsyn. But I'm wondering how to follow and understand the statistics? I can't tell if they are talking about total show downloads or individual episode downloads. Please help! :) I would greatly appreciate it! Parker
I have a podcast and just want tips and opinions. I really love cars and want to talk about them . Can you give me an opinion on my podcast ,and youtube.
Introducing the 3-D Podcast. No 3-D glasses necessary. One day 3 D***heads who met as fans of a podcast decided to make their own podcast. Riveting story huh? Anyways tag along for some shits, giggles and maybe a few rants and roasts.
Thumbnails in RUclips can kill you. I personally pass on fancy ones that look staged.. like a shocked look on a face or a weird expression. Those are the one I don't watch.

I love how you brought the video of Ben in. Your audio sounds incredible, too. Is that a mic on the camera or a lav on your shirt?
John Pullum No lav! This is a shotgun mic from Rode right off camera above me.
Thanks for the info.
I need to get a nice camera that it can work on. It sounds really wonderful and natural. :)
Pat, any chance you have an affiliate link for that mic that I can use? ;)
John Your head is amazing
Thanks a lot for this!

Its funny how all these so called tips are on here, however they have minimal views. So that leads me to believe your stuff does not work.
All based on 1 video you're making this assumption?
I didnt mean to sound so condescending I apologize. But I often wonder about that ya know. Its a legit question.
