With work being hectic but also wanting to squeeze in a trip or two/month, sometimes you're just really too tired to rush down to a money changer to exchange for foreign currency. My mind was blown the first time I withdrew for cash from an ATM overseas using Wise and I've been doing that ever since too hahah
Hi Demi, I am new to credit card. I would like to pay my insurance bill, mobile, transport and groceries to be paid through credit card. Which one would be better?
I think you might have to calculate if the atm withdrawal fee will be worth paying for such a big amount. Otherwise, you can try Trust Bank Debit card, rates are relatively 👍🏻 and no fees and cap for ATM withdrawal.
3.25% (subjected to currency exchange rate by visa/master) so am I right to say that if I were to sign for say a hotel stay in Korea using SG CC amounting to 3,000,000.. this amount will then be converted to SGD by visa/master then example(after conversion 2925sgd x 3.25%=$3020) meaning I incur over 90sgd in extras?
No thats if you use a credit card. A multi currency card like wise you won’t incur this fee. Just change korean won in app and pay a little fee. Definitely lesser than what u mentioned.
Have fun in korea. The han river looks nice. Korea one of my travel goals, japan is another 🩷💙
Thanks Demi. Have just signed up for Wise with your code and link :)
Appreciate it~ :) hope you enjoy using wise!
@DemiZhuang I will and I'm going to Seoul too in Nov! Can't wait.. I have already transferred some SGD to KRW on Wise :))
