I would take the extra step of a second seam on those snowballs and get myself a 'free' HST to use in another project. I collected 284 from one project and created a miniature quilt with mine, they finished at 1 inch :)
Definitely a possibility. I did this on my Half-Double Snowball Quilt tutorial. Great suggestion!
That's what I was thinking, too. I made a doll quilt for my granddaughter.
I always create a 2nd HST. I sew the 2nd line before I cut. That way nothing is distorted. Beautiful quilt.
This is a pretty quilt, I have some charm packs that have been waiting waiting waiting. Thank you!
I'm still catching up. This quilt is stunning.
Thank you! The accompanying pattern has just been written.
I love the bright colors in this quilt 💜 it’s so pretty
This is so gorgeous. I have 1.5" solid strips and fossil fern charm squares I'm thinking would look nice.
The Fossil Fern Charm squares are my favorite!
Love your videos! What I am impressed by is you are not a fabric designer snob! I am starting 3D Blockhead and Rolling Marble in twin size. They are for my Granddaughter, who is her first year college. She has fulls, however, now needs fun twins. I am using the same fabric rainbow ombre. Bless you and thank you for your beautiful inspirational work and easy instructions.
Wow, thank you!
Amazing quilt. Sandra B.
Thank You!
Really awesome design!
Thank you! I love it too!
Gorgeous & I especially liked the 3 extra blocks used in opposite corners. Another quilt to make. Thank you for sharing your fabulous & unique quilts with your audience. Much appreciated & please keep more of quilt designs coming.
Thank you 😊 I appreciate the encouragement!
Lovely quilt!
Thank you! 😊
Clever bagging the cut fabric to make the squares. Luv your edgy designs and color. 🌼
Thank you - that's the only way I can think of to make it as random as possible.
Very pretty. Thank you
Just found your channel and I love it! Thanks for clear, excellent teaching. I love the relaxed spirit, as well. 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Lovely!
Gorgeous quilt. Your instructions were very clear. Thanks for sharing
Your awesome. I love your quilts.♥️🧵
Lovely results, but I'd chain piece the two strips together, and then chain piece the pairs to create the block of four. Seems much faster. Looking forward to making this quilt!
Absolutely! That's exactly what I did as well. For tutorial purposes, I like to carefully explain for beginners. Thanks for watching & commenting. Much Love
Absolutely beautiful!!
Wow !! Looks amazing.
Thank you for your smooth and clear instructions. The colors are beautiful.
Thank you so much!
That is so striking! ❤
Very, very cool!!!
Terrific pattern. Seems like a good pairing with scraps too. Love the excess blocks in your opposing corners. It would make a wonderful baby quilt in the size that you have.
Thank you for watching!
Perfect for many scrap fabrics that have accumulated in my sewing room.
I hear ya, Sis!
Hi. I'm new to quilting. Just gifted my first queen size quilt to my daughter who loves it. Thank you so so much for sharing your patterns.
Wonderful! Great Job! Are you hooked now? I'd love to see a pic. You can send it to facebook.com/rquilts .
Ukraine! Thank you! Super!
Thank you for watching 😁
Interesting pattern. Will try it.
Have fun!
Beautiful thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family.
Thank you! You too!
This is a great pattern, I am thinking of my many many scrap strips. Thanks for sharing this pattern. I also do not like the pinked edges and if I can trim them off I do.
Thank you Doreen!
I really like the look.
Thank you!
Awesome quick and easy quilt.
Thank you! 😊
I love how you make this optical illusions. Great quilt, I love it and I can follow your instructions quit easy.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!
I would have added them to one of the ends since you had seven blocks going down but what you did does look very cool.
Very pretty. Thank you for sharing. I just found your site.
You are so welcome!
You could also just use the black 2.5" squares (no white ones). I love the design. Thank you for the tutorial, clear instructions and moving things along quickly 😊👍💕
You’re right! It would be stunning either way. Thanks for watching!
Wow! It’s amazing how many ways there is to get this look. I had imagined that the black/white parts were quarter-square triangles placed on point. I thought you would have used the strip tube technique to do the striped parts. (I generally don’t use precuts, so I approach things differently.)
Indeed! I love to look at a quilt and figure out how it's made. You are so right about so many ways to get the same result. Really it is just a matter of ease and preference. Thank you for watching and commenting. Much Love.
For bigger quilt maybe use a layer cake instead
where buy your roller cutting Your instructions were very clear
🥰
Hi again, Suze. One question: are you using 2 of each charm and mini charm packs with each having 42 squares (so 84 of each type of square-colors, black, and white)? I ask because I have seen mini charms in packs of 84. Just want to be sure I get the right stuff because I really want to make this! Thanks.
👍❤️❤️
Oops! Please ignore my question! I asked before I watched all the way through. LOL!
I really like this pattern. Looks simple and quick. I will definitely do this quilt. However, I must say I am disappointed you did not refer people to buy their charms from a local quilt shop instead of Amazon or MS. Over 30 percent of Quilt shops closed during the plannedemic as people were forced to order online. As a person who likes to touch and see the fabric up close and personal, I prefer to drive to the quilt shop and have this experience.
I did mention Amazon & MSQC when referring to the diagonal seam tape. Unfortunately my local quilt shops did not have it so I had to buy it online. It's great that you support your local quilt shop! I appreciate your input & thanks for watching!
Could you use a layer cake?
I think so. If I remember, I did a mock-up with a layer cake. The cutting dimensions may be different. For example: you would divide the 10" by the number of strips you want to determine how big to cut the strips.
Hi what materials r u using tq
I'm not sure what you mean...Are you asking for the specific charm pack?
Beautiful but it would cost so much for fabric. I sew on a budget. I’m loving it but it’s for others to make. Thank you .
You’re welcome 😊 I also sew on a budget! Mostly I use what I have. If I see precuts on sale I'll buy them or use my scrap stash. I think I spent $7 on each of these charm packs. The rest of the fabric was in my stash as well.
Thanks for watching.
@@revelationquilts I get them that way too. I have a few I’m eyeing right now that may work for the quilt. Maybe I do have some I could work with. Hahaha
