2000 F150 pitman arm removal tip

I had to cut a slot in my pitman arm to get it to release off the spline

Or you can use a pitman arm puller

Most pullers cannot fit on this generation of F-150 4 x 4. There is only a small access hole in the crossmember and less than 3" of clearance above it to the nut.
