If you're worried about having to choose between footswitch and expression, there is a midi device called the Expressionator that splits the expression output into 3 and controls multiple switches and expression pedals.

I remember when you started this channel you did not have much gear. I am a paraplegic and the gear is invaluable to me since I have to use my hands to play and switch things but without Jesus as my Lord and Savior none of it would matter 🙏

I'd get into soldering your own cables so you can place things wherever you want and never run into issues. I have a pedalnetics favorite switch for my cloudburst. Fantastic company.
I actually might be doing that soon...as time permits!
Have you tried the Evidence Audio screw-in-solderless cables? They are supposed to be really great.
@@suede__ they may be, and are probably fine for most folks. I just prefer soldered stuff. I am fortunate to have the space and gear to do my own.

I am a multi effects pedal guy through and through and the concept of having big hybrid boards is... foreign to me...but... but... the HX Stomp + enough pedals to build another pedalboard + dual tonex?!! Jimmy man, I love you brother, but holy overkill 😂😂. This is the "all but kitchen sink" board! I am all for it, but Jesus! 😂
Also, any chance you make Hotone Ampero Stage II content? I have been a L6 guy all my life, even have the Expanse Pack...and yet...just got the Stage 2 and I am seriously considering putting my HX Stomp XL for sale... Thoughts?

Hey Jimmy. Another fun video. Why the Pirate MIDI controller and the Unity6? Seems redundant. Is there something the Unity6 is lacking in MIDI control? Thanks and thanks for the reminder at the end. Jesus is the fulfillment and the gear stuff is nothing but a bonus.
That’s a great question. The unity6 can do everything I need I have to switch to different banks, but I already have a lot of things I know I want to do with Unity6. so my plan is just to have the bridge for have basically just one function and I don’t need it tied in with other presets and stuff
Ok, your the pedal guy. I use clean channel, Distortion, reverb, delay, flanger, and a boost for leads. Can you recommend gear and signal path for me. Thank you God bless.
There’s no final rule but typical order would be: distortions then boosts because if you put the boost before the distortion, you will not get as much volume increase you’ll just be pumping more gain/compression into the distortion. Does that make sense?
Then you would do any modulations like like your Flanger. Then Delay into Reverb

I bought a PirateMidi Click to use with my HX FX and Mesa Mark V, and it works great. I'm not using individual pedals at this point. Should I buy a PM Bridge to change snapshots so I can keep the HX FX in stomp mode?
Wouldn't hurt...but the HX FX allows you to switch quickly between the two with the MODE switch right?
@@HeyWorshipLeader You are correct; it does. I should probably use more than one or two presets and create presets for songs.
A bit off-topic but you should really review the Hottone stomp or stage! The stomp with the new V2 firmware is killer for the price. A one pedal show imo. I run by acoustic and electric trough it, don’t even have to think about it live.

I love your build. I didnt even know the HXone exists. I rocked my HX Pedalboard for a while for bass but now im currently rebuilding it for guitar.
The only real issue i have is the Send/Return is kinda noisy when you put it infront of a OD/Distortion.
I pretty much want to control everything via Stomp and set minor changed with pedals.
Are Y cables that bad for sound quality?
I need to have one cause i go from HX out into a single Jack for my DI. So i need a Y cable for that. I also need a Y Cable for Send L and R to go to 1 Gate Pedal and then i whould need a 3rd Y for splitting the Gate into my other 2 pedal i want to have allways on but i can swtich the HX block to eather LoopL or LoopR to choose which pedal i want to have active :S
I dont really like the aproach aswell... 3 Y cable in one setup :S What you say? Im kinda to grumpy to buy a Splitter Pedal for 130€ when a 10€ cable does kind of the same :S
What if you changed the midi controller for the Kernom for the low profile one and added another midi controller for the unity?
The unity is its own midi controller.
Any reason to control the Kernon from a separate midi controller? Just incase you want your preset to be a different sound? Also have you tried the clean boost on the Unity6 yet? Good message at 4:00!
I could totally program the same things with the unity6, But I think for now I want to be able to have separate controls and those additional foot switches.

Have you ever thought of using a boss gt core 1000 instead of the stomp?

@@HeyWorshipLeader I would truly suggest trying it out has a bunch of effects and good amps, been using a friends but got my own personal today. Small for factor and full capabilities of a gt 1000, I chose it over a stomp but have a line 6 m5
Love your videos! What do you do to prevent your Tonex Ones from getting phase issues?
With these, just make sure I choose captures that are in phase. But with my big dual tonex board I have a diso DLX by pinstripe
