That sounds a million times better than the boy racer, non resonated set up that everyone runs. Louder definitely does not equal better in all cases. Much more mature, and much more refined. You made the right choice with this setup for sure.
Hey Alex, I followed the installation of the ESS on the MACH 1. How much HP do you think you picked up with the Kooks headers this time? In my past we always picked up ~~40-45 rwhp. I have heard that with the newer Mustangs that this is not happening; more like only 20 rwhp. If this is the case I don’t know if it is justified for the price. Now you knew that you were going with the Super Charger hence your 1&7/8” Kooks. I am not sure I need boost since my Dark Horse will be my daily driver. I have a very fast Porsche Turbo that hauls the mail. I am concerned that installing the ESS will take away the daily driving experience on the 2024 Dark Horse. Why did you let go of your Mach 1 w/ESS? That would be close to a Dark Horse w/ESS correct????? Hey the Corsa resonaters improved the sound a lot. I will be going with their double H-pipe, sport-cats Kooks and keeping the Ford AE. In Maryland need cats to pass every 2 year emission test. Thanks for your service. Headers on the newer cars are only about hood for 20-25hp on an NA setup. But with boost it’s much more and definitely needed at certain power levels. Especially above 700hp

Zander I’ve had multiple Vortech supercharged foxes over the years and if you’re daily driving a supercharged car then a centrifugal blower is the best by far because daily cars don’t have drag suspension setups and without that positive displacement blower’s will only break traction! The power of a centrifugal supercharged car its power is linear with RPM! It’s also better paired to a higher RPM engine like the Coyote because it’s a high RPM engine! Traction is sooooo much easier to obtain! ESS is becoming what Vortech was to the fox body cars! Love the build! GOD BLESS SIR!

I have a paxton Novi 2200sl kit on my car and if I didn't get a really good deal on this one since it was used, I would have went ess in a heartbeat. I would also recommend the ess over paxton cuz this kit is considerably heavier (imo) than the ess kit.

Sounds identical to mine but with the double H and stock headers. I think the 'performance' benefit of the X pipe gets tossed out when you add the resonators compared to just going with the H or HH. About to throw TSP non-catted on mine soon and I'm interested to see what the tone is for that.
So glad I saw this because that raspy ass sound these 5.0s have was pushing me way from the idea of doing another. Have a 14 GT with a 2.7l Kenne Bell. I miss it. Car sounds great as it should.

I agree the loud raspiness of the coyote isn't really appealing to the ears and these resonators really cleaned up the sound IMO. That said, wouldn't a corsa sport cat back have the same effect as adding the resonators to the extreme system?
Hi I love what you are doing with mustang. I am trying to decide on what boost set up I want to go with. I am leading on ess. But want to know what set up to go with my 2017 mustang is a factory engine but I am running on na e85 with kooks headers and Gibson exhaust. Also boss 302 in take that is from 1320 junkie. Making 450 hp. To the rear. What set up would you go with on that mustang manual transmission. I want to make 950 and be able to adjust it back and forth if need to. On the fly when needed. What you think do I need a fuel system and what kind should I install. I also when I do this I will be changing the oil and crank sprocket gears. There is so many to choose from from and need some help from you seeing that you have gone though this what you think.

Zander, your Mach baseline dyon was very similar to mine... 461 on mine.... Do you feel confident in those numbers or think it was slightly inflated???? I am a Lil skeptical but I have seen multiple dynos of the Mach most being around 410 420ish but a few were up around the 460 mark... Penny for your thoughts

ESS was cheaper a year ago when I got my G2 kit. Car absolutely rips. Getting an Alky control methanol kit installed as we speak and will run the 115 pulley. Straight meth only if you want big power while still being safe

It’s never the headers that creates rasp. Lack of resonators will make even stock headers raspy.

What do you charge to install headers? I live in East TN and I currently run JBA with no cats but that garage startup will run you out.

The corsa active exhaust is still considered sport to extreme bc of the active functionality. There is no other option unfortunately

If you wanna be able to adjust the power on the fly you have to do turbos you can’t do that on a pulley driven car

I think the numbers were real on mine. I had a different air filter and catback. Not sure if that helped or not
