Awesome tutorial! I’m getting my machine next week and cannot wait to use it with this software
Great News! I bet you are very excited!!
thanks for this tutorial great !!
bravo pour l'explication facile et detaillée je debute ce tuto est tres explicatif merci
Merci Rene!
Great Job
Excellent thank you very much
Big thanks.
You're welcome!
Thank You
You're welcome :)
In Easel I just draw a square and it makes it with a selected v bit toolpath. I just wanted to add a square line around my main artwork in the middle, like a border and gah! Spent a grand on the program and took hours to figure out how to make one v carved square on the board. I mean it's great the detail we can manipulate in a project but gosh sometimes simplicity wins too
Hello John and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. For a very basic v-carved box it is a pretty simple process in VCarve... just a couple of clicks. Of course there is a bit of a learning curve when you move to any new software. If you did it again, now that you have done it once, I suspect it would be an easier process. Easel is not a capable as VCarve so it is expected that we have a few more options to consider. You point is very valid... and we have tried very hard to make our software easier to use then our direct competators. We are always working to make our software better, so I will be sure to pass your thoughts onto the Development Team.
@@vectric you're right. I took an intensive dive and it does indeed take getting used to and making that box is just a few clicks as you mentioned and the amount of control I have over the line, I am so glad I switched over.
It would have been nice if you should how to start the cutting process
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video. If you are using multiple tools for clarence do you have to stop your machine manually and change tools and start again on X & Y Zero for each tool change or the machine will carry on into the next toolpath with the incorrect tool?
Hey there! When using multiple tools to clear out you will need to stop the machine to manually change the tool, if you have an automatic tool changer machine then the ATC will do that automatically for you :) I hope this helps!
Started trying to follow along in Cut 2D but no Vcarve fn there. VCarve desktop needed for this demo correct? Would be nice for us newer people to make this clear or have a different set of Tutorials for Cut 2D.. Trying to find out if I am going to need to upgrade to the VCarve desktop or if I can get by for a while with Cut2 D since it is just a hobby for me. ?Senior discount?
Hello Terry... VCarving is not avaiadle in Cut2D so if you need that feature you will need to upgrade. You can fin the Cut2D toutorials here - www.vectric.com/support/tutorials/cut2d-pro?
Now if you are thinking of upgrading to VCare Deskto or Pro you might want to download a free trial to see if it fits - www.vectric.com/free-trial/vcarve-desktop
Hope that helps...
nice vid, which program are you using, vcarve pro, desk or aspire to do this with?
Hi you can follow along with this tutorial in VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro and Aspire! Thanks for your comment.
@@vectric ty for you reply, i have been, wish i and others ive seen, could afford ASPIRE, but we cant, its way to costly, wish it was around 400 like so many others, but 2000 is way to much

So you don’t have to tell it a Depth to cut ? When engraving? I’m new Vetric I’ve had Bob Cad which is crazy complicated this Vetric is so much more user friendly. So just set start depth at Zero and depending on which tool you use it selects the cut depth ?
Hello Carey... in this case the font is not bold enough for us to worry about cut depth because of the geometry of the tool (it will not fit fully). We can set the depth of cut and also the pass depth if needed.
Hi I was just Wondering if I'm working with A Monoline Script Font How do I Make sure the Font width/thickness ( Brush stroke of Font in each letter ) is set to 8mm all around 😊 ?
Thanks !
Hello will this software convert your drawing into G-Code or do I need to purchase additional software to do that? Also if it does convert it will it convert to GRBL style G-Code for arduino based machines?
Hello BullDdogDon. Yes it will. I would suggest download the trial and have a go.
Hello sir kindly make a video for tracing an image
Hey There, maybe this video will help you: www.vectric.com/support/tutorials/aspire?category=TutorialCategories&playlist=VectorDrawing&video=Image_to_Vector_Logo_Vector_Drawing? Thank you :)
Help me please
Thanks for the comment and sorry you are having trouble. I would suggest sending what you need help with to support@vectrci.com and they should be able to help! Thanks
