Which English Monarch had the most health problems?
A) King Edward VIII
B) Queen Mary I
C) King Henry VIII
D) King George III
I think Henry VIII.
Henery VIII.
The consorts?
@@alicependragon4381 The consorts will come hopefully next week!

I find it quite silly how many medieval kings died in such honorary ways in battle, while in later years, two died from strawberries and hot chocolate. Either way, RIP.
😂
Charles I was beheaded after lose a civil war against Oliver Cromwell. At least one non medieval king died in a honorable way.
Also Edmund Ironside died on the toilet after being stabbed on the butt

"You must pardon me, gentlemen"
Charles II really said "sorry gotta die rq guys"
"Been real and all but, I gotta head out. See ya on the other side!" (dies)
Actually it was the other way around. He was apologising to his doctors for taking so long to die on his deathbed.
Edward VII last words were “Yes, I heard about it. I was very glad” referring to his helper saying that their horse won a contest then 7 minutes later he collapsed and died minutes later.
You include Matilda Plantagenet and Mary II which so many people forget. I'm so glad thank you!!
Thank you!
and Queen Jane Grey
I was obsessed with reading about monarchs and I knew matilda was a queen that was pretty unknown
Mary II was crowned queen but empress Mathilda was never referred to as a queen but rather lady of the English
“ This tragic time “ - Queen Elizabeth II
It will "we will meet again" I think
Edward VI's last words are heartbreaking.
I agree!
His death was the most painful one and he was only 15 years old. 💔
@@yourmammu
It seems God cursed his Father lineage
@@yourmammu I think he died in public aswell
@@Lukki_DDDhe did not
His death was kept secret for a few days, so he did not die in public
A lot of these monarchs share a thing in common, and I know they are related but for some reason their last words or last word is “unknown “, I wonder why they said that before they die
I think is because we might not have data about their last words so we mark it as “unknown”

I have heard that George V's final words were Bugger Bognor. His doctors had tried to reassure him that he'd soon be up and enjoying his favourite seaside resort. They then gave him a shot of something so that his death would be reported in the Times, and not the Evening Standard.
Most sources claim this to be his phrase before his death
The story after it was discovered in 1986 is found here in this channel's video of the case: m.ruclips.net/video/fTWpOADZPGk/видео.html
Was Bugger Bognor a type of alcoholic beverage?
Apparently the Times reported his last words as “How is the Empire?”
@@boomstickbag It was a town or city in Egland.
Something so fascinating about looking at the early medieval period of these monarchs, in a time when they were only a few hundred years away from the years the western Roman Empire fell. Not only that but just to know these people lived and died so long ago before any of our modern families came into existence
Yes!
Damn, hearing a 15 year old say those words is depressing...king or not I feel sorry for poor Edward VI
George II was the last English king to fight in battle, and died of having too much hot chocolate. RIP
Yes!
@@royaltyfandomx my name would be different, but my profile is Edward I. Thanks for including me!
I just imagine what they were like they went up to Heaven and talked to the angels. “Uh… yeah…. So uh…. I died from an arrow up my bum and also George II died from eating too much chocolate.” (THIS IS A JOKE I KNOW THAT THEY DONT ACTUALLY DO STUFF LIKE THAT)
Glad you started with the first Anglo-Saxon kings and not William the Conqueror.

Henry III: his health reportedly had "broken down" in the course of a short period of time...that possibly indicates congestive heart failure.

Queen Elizabeth 2 last words were reportedly telling Princess Beatrice “Just Be yourself.”
King Harold's dead body went through a lot LOL 1:40

Hello there
i love the line "for sure this must be death"
great video but i did see a little thing that was wrong. At 5:29 i think you forgot to change King George's date of birth and date of death. Because King George VI was born in December 14, 1895 and he died on February 6, 1952 but its not a big deal anyways Amazing video!

There was a coup. His cousin deposed him and became Henry IV. Richard II was incarcerated in Pontefract Castle. It's unknown if he was denied food, or went on hunger strike, but it finished him off.

Very interesting video just went by too fast for me. Ideally it should have been slower to allow racing or be broken down into segments. Enjoyed watching it anyway. 😊
King Edward the Confessor’s last words were telling people about a dream that he had, followed by leaving the Kingdom to Harold.
Harold godwinson was buried at Waltham Abbey Church
his body has been transferred many times
Many of them died at a very young age like 19 to 50s. One became a kind at a really young age and he died at 19 which is super young.
And 16 as well, and that’s my age
Edward VI's last words are particularly tragic for this reason.
#GODSAVEMARYI. The Portrait of Elizabeth in which you depict the lead eating away at her skin, is a realistic depiction of what she would have looked like compared to the other ones that we see.
Oh Bertie.

You should have put the wives of Henry Vlll. Those queens like Catherine Of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne Of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr. Those queens, Plus Elizabeth l, will always be the best queens in history.
