Struggled with my SEAT Ateca air filter this afternoon. Exactly the same 1.4 engine. Tried to remove the engine air filter. Didn't know there were screws holding the filter box lid on from the underside. This video cured my problem. Great video and thanks.

Friend, i have got skoda octavia rider mk1 1.9tdi diesel 2006 clocked 90000 kms on odo. Please suggest me good synthetic oil. And can we use engine oil treatment like stp or liqui moly?

All good except I would add that if you dont have a torque wrench adaptor for the oil filter, you can simply screw it in until it makes contact with the engine moulding, then tighten (by hand) between 1/2 and 3/4 of a turn. Any more and you will be in danger of damaging the case and it will be very hard to remove next time. Too little and it will leak.- Thanks for an excellent video

Great video, do you know where the fuel filter is on this car. My car has done 85k so i want to change the fuel filter this year. Skoda say it never needs changing but i prefer to do it anyway. Thanks
Thanks ;) In this Skoda Octavia there is no fuel filter unfortunately. Skoda has built in fuel filter in the fuel pump inside fuel tank. That's why they saying that :( You can also check that on Mann filter online catalog. Regards :)

The 1.4 tsi 150 when you change oil and filter the wright litre is 4.300 and not 4 litre.

Oil filter in 2.0 tdi cr is located at front of the engine, right side of the intake manifold. Torque spec is written at the top of oil filter housing cap, you will see it when you remove oil filter. Oil sump plug is 19mm. Tightening torque for it is 30 Nm. Regards ;)

Dejan Dežman this is what I put in my r-line,mobile one gold,also the first free service I had with my vw at the dealership,the cabin filter was really bad quality,I used the Mann cabin filter now,it keeps the nasty smell out ten times better,just goes the show dealerships don’t always use good quality things
