Why wouldn't you want to write about it? What else would you write about? Good luck.

Craig, thank you, first of all, for providing such sound and impactful advice all over social media. I first discovered you on Tik Tok, and I’m a parent of a senior in No CA …
Wondering if you’d answer one question related to the letter of confirmation following a waitlisted RD situation. Question regards the strategy in the timing of this letter. Is it advisable to send this letter sooner than later, ie before more decisions come in later this month? Stated differently, is it harmful to wait for all decisions to come before sending this letter (which would include a truthful statement of intent to attend)?
    Thanks, Lisa S

Thank you for your kind words. As long as the letter of continued interest is received within two weeks of when the student was initially offered a space on the waitlist, there will be no issues unless the college asked explicitly for a specific earlier turn around. Sometimes, maybe even more, but I would not risk pushing it unless one feels the content of the letter would change dramatically with new information from another college. Those deferred EA or ED have a longer period (usually until the end of January for a notification date of December 15) to send their letters of continued interest. Good luck.

Got waitlisted at ed 2 school.
    Got some questions
I did my app last second and am not sure about how it turned out. And I believe I can use my admissions outcome as feedback.
I want to know what admission officers think when they waitlist you. Does one advocate for you but fails to convince their colleagues about your application or do they all universally agree you should be waitlisted.
Also what makes them defer you rather than waitlist or waitlist rather than defer?
