Students should apply to every college EA if it is available. I truly believe in this. That means to start the application process early. Get those essays going well underway during the summer before senior year.
Early Action applications seemed to work in the favor of high-average students applying to colleges with high app numbers last year. It probably also gets those who were accepted better scholarship offers. Those that were accepted off the wait list this past year, received little to none scholarships.
Another advantage of applying EA is that you don't need to show your mid year senior year grades which are still unknown to you. I learned my lesson from my elder one. Now, I know better how to advise my younger child.
Could you talk more about how the 1st semester of senior year grades matter? That information was not stressed at my kid's high school last year, and would have probably helped many.
Great video Craig - thank you. Related question - do you believe schools really have different acceptance rates by category (ED, EA, RD) vs. attributing it to the quality of the students that are applying in each respective phase (i.e., more competitive candidates apply earlier)? Have seen lots of viewpoints on either side. Curious for your thoughts. Thanks
Hi Sir, I am Tariq from Pakistan. How're you doing; I hope you're doing well. I watch every video persistently, but my suggestion would you make video a video on application fee wavier request how we get it.
There is a difference between Early Decision and Early Action and Restrictive Early Action. I have a number of videos discussing these important terms. Good luck.

@leealysia9965 why does my school say my 1st and 2nd trimester still matter for EA?

What if you won’t be done with the SAT before early action deadlines? can you still submit your application and submit your sat scores later?

Don’t you ask your school counselor for it?
@@thenoobd8330yes for sure. He should contact his school for specific application fee waiver.
Brother get in touch with your school since each school has its specific policy for an application fee waiver
i THOUGHT EARLY DECISION SAYS YOU CAN'T APPLY TO ANY OTHER SCHOOL EARLY
