I always feel so old when he talks about how long the band has been together. My youngest daughter was born inn 88. Her father and I are creaking around the house, the kids come to visit , where is Mom? She’s in the other room listening to Darkthrone.
Damn! You got Ted on!!! That's awesome man! Darkthrone is one of my all time favorites. Unfortunately I have to wait til after work to finish this. Cheers!
Great interview, I hope you do more. It's a big asset when an interviewer is an actual musician and can get into songwriting discussions rather than the typical boring questions.... I feel like there aren't many of those.
To you and to Ted, that last bit where you mentioned being from Oklahoma was REALLY emotional for me because I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma (still live there) and everything you said about how you perceive Darkthrone as an individual and the specific reasons you love them made it sound like I was getting to talk to him myself. Thank you both so much for this interview. To hear that in an interview with one half of my favorite band was truly something special. To both Ted and Fenriz, Coffin Storm was spectacular, 'It Beckons Us All' is awesome as well, and I can't wait for 'Endo Feight' with Sarke. 💀🤘😈
@BornTooNate Agreed. So very cool. You looking forward to Ted's new work with Sarke as much as I am? Coffin Storm, new Darkthrone, and now new Sarke in just like 2 and a half months!
Wow….congratulations. Knew you said you would get a Darkthrone interview and voilà. To me they are the greatest black metal band ever. Even if they’re not playing “black metal” these days.
Wow , this one was just something else ! For those ,as I’m , who deeply love darkhtrone and whose idol are Ted and Gylve , is pure gold to have such a detailed interview about the production of this masterpiece. The more I listen the more I hear something new ! All hail Ted , All hail Darkthrone , All hail IT BECKONS US ALL 🤘🤘 Deeply thanks for this interview
Great interview. Thanks to both of you. Been enjoying darkthrone since soulside era. The later album are great and usually need a ton off playtime before they actually open. That’s typical a sign of a good album.
You touched on something important that highlights one of Ted's strengths in riff crafting and that's the little flourishes and details he weaves into riffs e.g. as you stated the little chugs in Bird People. An all-time fav Ted track for me is Eyes Burst At Dawn. Nice SA shirt, by the way (or as I call them "Sad Helstar").
Very cool . I own DARKTHRONE 5 newest albums. I honestly don't care for that early b.m. stuff . Just on the strength of the last 4 or 5 albums they are in my top 5 all time favorite bands.

@@BornTooNate Damn man, you got back to me in record time! I love Spirit Adrift too. Good to know you're not above being in the comments with the rest of us, makes me love the band even more.
Thank you for a great interview with the riff master Nocturno! I really love Nocturno and Darkthrone and I've been on their journey since 1992 but claiming that theoretical knowledge and so on is a limitation is pure bullshit. Music theory and technical knowledge on your instrument(s) doesn't limit you; is what you use from that wealth of knowledge that hinders you or sets you free.

This is awesome. I love his introduction "Just a dude trying to wake up". Gotta love Nocturno.
I officially identify as “just a dude waking up in the morning trying to think about some riffs”

This is BIG! So stoked to see this pop up on my feed
Love the new album ...so many good parts to it. Amazing interview..well done ...great questions too..congrats on getting to chat with Ted 🔥🔥🔥👌
Such a legend, I'm glad to see he is still loving playing so much! Darkthrone has been such an amazing inspiration for so long to me
Great video! Ted is the MAN, thanks for checking out our chat
Thanks Dev, good to see you here. Keep doing what you're doing!
Great interview, I hope you do more. It's a big asset when an interviewer is an actual musician and can get into songwriting discussions rather than the typical boring questions.... I feel like there aren't many of those.
Thank you. I know what it’s like to be on the other side, answering the same nonsense questions over and over. I try to avoid that at all cost.

Gonna put the headphones on and cut the grass!!
Great interview and great album. The Heavy Hand son gave me some old school vibes, sounded a bit like the doom riffs on Panzerfaust.
Great interview, this stuff is needed . Respect

Puta merda, isso é histórico!🤘🤘🤘
awesome
Better talk about the fight riff in Leave No Cross Unturned
The Agent Steel style one? That was Fenriz.
The Alle Gegen Alle riff is actually Fenriz as well but I HAD to ask about that one…
New album!!!!!
That man has aged like a fine wine.
Ted is the man.
