What this was a tasting menu meal. A tasting menu is that the chefs do small usually one to two bite dishes for people to try more items from a menu. It isn't really designed to stuff you but more items to taste, thus the name. Usually most places that have a tasting menu charge up the but for similar sized portions. This restaurant did this as buzz marketing/possible new item testing.
Im actually so confused with people being super salty about the portion size. The title already said “ tasting menu”. And its only 10 freakin dollar. U can get charged for 100$ in a michellin star restaurant, for the same portion size, for a single damn plate. Just fuckin enjoy the video people!
I just wanted to say for anyone that doesnt know detroit is next to Dearborn and dearborn heights, which has the largest growth population of Arabic people in America. So if you come from Michigan and have lived in Detroit you are bound have had the mosr genuine Arabic food you could have ever eaten.
Keep in mind this is 10 dollars per person. You don't get a big bowl of ox tail stew, they did that to make it look sizable. They also got literally a single chip for a tostada.

tbh it would feel like you got way more food if they just served you all the tasters in one plate. all of it together on one plate would trick your mind into thinking you got more food, and therefore you'd feel fuller. but obviously, the family-like experience lies in it being a "10-course meal". So it really depends on if you're really hungry or already had a light dinner and just want to have a nice outing with friends!
this is a tasting menu, not something you go out to get when youre hungry. Imagine getting all that food on one plate at once, for $10, then its a good deal.
