For real changes in coloration to occur you have to give a product at least a month time. I did think you applied rather a lot, it spreads very easily. A tiny touch on the index finger is enough for both eyes, upper and lower lids. Also, a serum is meant to go under moisturiser. I can see why some people are confused about this, however, as when they first became popular, skin care companies called everything a serum in order to capitalise on the hype. I have applied this daily for a year and have never found that it affected my concealer in anything but a positive way. But then, i never powder concealer, as I'm 52 not 22 ! Powder is an evil substance designed to add a full decade to my face! It has to be 35C + before I'd even look at it.
TyakGt I do. You may not need it if your skin is normal or oily. I try not to put too many layers on my eyes as that makes the sunscreen slide around and go in my eyes.
Pencilfriend Paperscribbler hi I use the niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid. do I put the caffeine before or after applying those solutions I’ve mentioned.
rfiel25 I would say the caffeine serum should go last as it has an oilier consistency, but be careful about using too many active ingredients near the eyes. apart from anything else, if there is too much product there, it slides into the eyes.
yeah, it also depends on the concealer you use...(that's what I've noticed now over the time as I switched the concealer that I don't need to set). Also, I started using a hydrating eye cream on top to get rid of the dryness😊
Did you put moisturiser over it? I treat it like a serum which you need to lock in with moisturiser anyway. If you want an eye cream that’s fine but they’re not that necessary. CeraVe moisturiser and eye creams are amazing though as a suggestion. I also sometimes like to use a primer on top of moisturiser. Hope this helps xx
Did you get those panda eyes all of a sudden or have you had them since ever? Before you get it, just have a quick look on their website as they do say that it won't work for: ''1. Hollowness in the eye contour as a result of structure of sub-dermal tissues like fat and bone can result in visible shadows under the eyes. This shadow, which is not to be mistaken for dark circles, cannot be addressed with topical skincare including this formula. 2. Fat deposits under the eye contour can create permanent puffiness in this area. This type of deposit can not be improved with topical skincare, including this formula.'' If this doesn't apply to you, then go ahead and give it a try. 😊
not trying to diagnose you but that can also be helped with nutrition. salt will give you dark circles not just puffiness. take anything that supports kidney and liver function. other areas are thyroid and adrenals. try whole clean organ supplements.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet from what i understand, this product might not apply for dark circles which are caused by genetics/face structure but it should apply if the person has dark circles out of a sudden?

I did hope for improvement with my recently noticeable (in the a.m) puffy under eye bags. And they have most definitely gone away! The eyes look better and better, so I would recommend that for you. For my part, I will definetely try the caffeine solution and combining the two because I want to get rid of the dark circles totally. Thanks for your video!
I think that applying a moisturizer or oil on top helps the sticky feeling and the makeup aplication. The Ordinary rosehip oil on top of this serum feels very comfortable if applied lightly
Yeah, thanks for sharing this tip! Shortly after I shared my experience, I went ahead looking for an eye cream which I then applied afterwards and it helped a lot!😊

Hey :) Great to hear that it has helped you with your dark circles! :) Yes, using an eye cream after the Caffeine Solution is great since it can be a bit drying...
Seems like a lovely product. I love the Ordinary`s apothecary style packaging. I was very sad to see the founder Brandon die so young. The news chalked it up to an accidental suicide. I wasn't very satisfied with the small amount of explaining the media did on what happened though. It felt like too little.

This serum gave me worst dry patch so far in my lifetime on my left eye and it burned like flaky and red. I used this serum for 3 weeks and stopped it altogether now. My dry eye patch is healing now but makeup still looks bit dry on that patch.
This really helped me with dark circles. After a week i experienced some redness and itchiness, but that passed in two days. You should put some hydrating eye cream over it tho.
I have dark circles, which is more visible if I lack of sleep.. My mom has it too, but still I'm not convinced that it's hereditary since I had it when I started to develop sleeping problems a couple of years back. U think this product could be helpful?
Well, that's what it claims. However, I would use it in combination with some other products. I helped me brighten the skin a lot! See here: ruclips.net/video/s3PX-PavgFo/видео.html So I would set up a routine with brightening products and use the Caffeine solution to support it.
Yes, but I figured out that this was too drying I recommend using the Hylamide SubQ Eyes. And yes if you use the caffeine solution, it may be best to ass another cream on top since it can be very drying. Therefore I recommend the Hylamide SubQ Eyes. I’m not used to it because my face is so oily. Any recommendations for an inexpensive moisturizer that’s safe around the eyes?
Yes, the Caffeine Solution can be drying. I recommend using an eye cream, like the one from Cerave or even Cerave's Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which you can also use 'like' an eye cream! :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I feel like it's impossible to keep makeup from piling up in there so I always avoid eyeshadow on the lower lid. I'll def be watching for how you work with yours :)
Well, I set the under eye area with powder and then apply the eyeshadow on the lower lash line, but it also depends on how hot or humid it is, it can crease a bit which is normal since it's ''a line'' where the upper skin touches the lower. The colder the weather the better😅 Cream eyeshadows work a bit better since they dry after the application and won't move! - Love it! Otherwise, I do sometimes tend to skip the lower lash line and focus on the upper lid area😊

Thanks for watching 😊Yeah, you're right, but they do have some 'claims' on their website, when it's going to work and when it doesn't work, and if this isn't the case for dark circles then you will see improvements 😊

yeah, it also depends on the concealer you use...(that's what I've noticed now over the time as I switched the concealer that I don't need to set).

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet yes, you're right :)
i have panda eyes so i could buy this
Did you get those panda eyes all of a sudden or have you had them since ever? Before you get it, just have a quick look on their website as they do say that it won't work for:
This type of deposit can not be improved with topical skincare, including this formula.''
If this doesn't apply to you, then go ahead and give it a try. 😊
Melissa Van Dijk Okay thanks :)!
not trying to diagnose you but that can also be helped with nutrition. salt will give you dark circles not just puffiness. take anything that supports kidney and liver function. other areas are thyroid and adrenals. try whole clean organ supplements.

Well, I set the under eye area with powder and then apply the eyeshadow on the lower lash line, but it also depends on how hot or humid it is, it can crease a bit which is normal since it's ''a line'' where the upper skin touches the lower. The colder the weather the better😅

Hey, yes 😉
Those are 2 water based serums.
The general rule of thumb for order of application is:
1. Water-based serums
2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations
3. Lotions & Creams & suspensions
If you have more than one water-based serum, you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first). And it’s recommended applying eye-serums (such as Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG) first after cleansing.
It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration.
About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck.
Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing."
Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!

Also will it be able to remove them completely and how much time will it take?
See other reply :)
Hi, so do you have any suggestions for a eye cream which gonna help dark circles and works well under makeup?
Yes, this one works great under makeup. I am not sure about the dark circles, since I do not really suffer from them hylamide.deciem.com/product/subq-eyes-15ml
When should I use it. befoer or after the toner??
after the toner
what eye cream do you recommend after using this serum?
Hm 🤔 none because this is already an eye serum. But why do you want to use an additional eye cream?
I just started using this product and i noticed that my skin under eyes become loose? what should I do now?
I think you have pilling see here:

Do i have to use sunscreen if i use the ordinary caffeine solution at night??
No.
Hey! I just got mine today.. can I apply it on top of my moisturizer or before my moisturizer? Can I do Cleanse>Alpha Arbutin>Niacinamide>Caffeine Solution>Moisturize
Hey, according to the ordinary it goes like this:
If you have more than one water-based serum, you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first). And it’s recommended applying eye-serums (such as Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG) first after cleansing.
It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration.
About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck.
Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing."
Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!
Can I use this after using aha acid?
@@rgaetz1 Yes, that's fine :)
i have the organic cold-pressed rose hip oil and the caffeine solution one ? Should i cleanse my skin and apply the rose hip oil first? or the caffeine solution? i’m new to this so i’m confused on what order i should go with my two serums
The caffeine solution (Water-based) comes before rosehip seed oil (oil). You always layer from the thinnest to the thickest texture.

Hi! If I use this at night, is it ok to put the solution first and then the retinol eye cream?
Yes, however, this may be very drying as this solution is already drying. So it may be best to add a moisturizer afterwards, but it may also depend on the retinol eye cream you are using; you need to test it. But just keep it in mind ;)
