- An Anoka County family witnessed a frightening scene last week when a woman was gored by a bison in Yellowstone National Park, David Schuman reports (1:41).
WCCO 4 News at 10 - July 1, 2020
I am very disappointed I didn't get to see her fly through the air.
Me too
Hahhhhahhahhahahaha so am I
That what I came here for
I did, because I have a really good imagination lol
Me too!! What the hell is wrong with these people not too smart 😒
Didn't happen if you don't show her flying.
Darn does it not? Thanks for letting me know - wont waste my time watching it then
I know, just show the whole damn video. eveyone is pussified these days. That woman got what she deserved, these morons always trying to get a selfie with wild animals, LEAVE THE WILD ANIMALS ALONE, it's their home not yours.
I hope the bison is okay.
DYING 😂😂😂 @ the comments!
Bison has Covid now, these boomers are dangerous.
Bison should sue for harassment.
They killed the bison
Patricia Sue really
Unfortunately, the victim in this story was suffering from a preexisting braindead medical condition. I have very little sympathy for idiots that do this and then get hurt. We keep working against Darwinism, this is the result.
There is no cure for Darwinism.
Lmao🤣
Where’s the money shot
That's why I came here!!! Can't find anywhere... maybe it was "gored"! Haha
Ramp ; I want my money back
RampantShopper Yes I’m very disappointed they show people getting murdered but they can’t show us the good stuff
@@nike5246 I WANNA SEE THE VIDEO TOO
Years ago, maybe, early 90s, I was tent camping w my climbing partner in Yellowstone when a bison decided to scratch its belly or balls on our tent w us inside. It was terrifying for a few short minutes.
Anyone who is stupid enough to approach a wild animal is deserving of the results.
Geez, imagine being teabagged by a bison!
Thank you for that. What a... "Beautiful" experience?
Love how you are so confident that it was definitely only those 2 possibilities for things being scratched haha. Like it couldn't have been it's leg or anything
@@boscoblack well, i suppose it couldve been something else, but admittedly, i didn't get out of the tent to take a look...
@@A7exandersca7es 🤣
Good for the bison! Respect!
The woman should be fined heavily for being too close and not allowed in the park.
Rules for having a good time in Yellowstone: 3. Stay out of the hot springs. 2. Don't go swimming above the waterfalls. 1. Don't pet the bison.
#4. Don't feed the bears !
Don’t piss into the wind…

@Prakhar Mishra , ha ha 👍👍👍
I went to Yellowstone and saw bison. When a few slowly approached the highway we were on from the field, I was terrified. Just the sheer sight of them was enough to put me squarely where I was which was in the car. They were enormous and hearing them make their rumbling noises as they walked by so closely was terrifying. I'm not a fearful person, it's simply natural to fear wild animals of that size and power. It's puzzling to me some people just seem to have no sense of that fear being around them. I have to think they romanticize the animal.
Just watch if they come near and just be in awe so long as ya don't like spook them it should be pretty safe.
Just don't spook the babies or... Ya get the herd 😱
RULE #1 of camping and going into nature: leave the animals alone and leave no trash behind. Sorry, but I don't feel bad for this woman at all
Some people should never leave the city. At a campsite like this, the guy next to us couldn't figure out how to light his coleman stove. He blamed it on bad fuel, and proceed to dump it in the grass between our campsites.
I agree....at a safe place...I watched a guy gather green wood...then try and start a small cook fire. I walked over with some dead wood and sweet pine to start it for him. "Don't need a woman to tell me how to make a fire". I left him alone...and later watched him open a can of pork and beans and eat from the can. Me ? I had scrambled eggs and pan toast..over my little fire.
Not sure if she is the one who tried to sue the national park because she said she wasn't told about getting too close. Luckily the judge denied her case.
Shes been awarded the first place trophy, a "almost" new colostomy bag. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
yes, with a homeopathic installation.
Does anyone has the full video? It feels like I am victim of click bait, if I don't get to see the "woman gored by Bison" as shown in the title of the video.
That woman will have a $15,000 helicopter ride, with Medicare not likely to pay that fee. That woman did not use 1 ounce of “common sense” in her situation with the bison.
Odie GSD, helicopter rides are one lump sum payment. The company never takes monthly payments. Neither do ambulance companies, unless they are connected to Hospital Billing Services. Ambulance rides are a minimum
$5000 charge. Anything else is added on to the total charges. I do not think people realize how expensive those charges can be. And most health insurances only pay a limited amount of money, while ambulance services & helicopter services are actual bills & those transportation services DO NOT have adjustments w/certain health insurance companies. Usually, they do not accept Medicare payments. I have Medicare & have experienced several medical services NOT being covered by Medicare because the provider did not accept Medicare payments. Always ask before using a medical provider for a service. Plus, ask if the clinic & Hospital take Medicare Payments for services. If the clinic or Hospital doesn’t accept payment, you will be billed directly & you are responsible for the entire bill. Anyone who has Medicare better watch what activities they participate in and where they go on vacation. Clinics & hospitals in the 50 States & Territories have different health care systems, billing & payment schedules. Remember: Medicare tells people on Medicare to call ahead & see if the Clinic, Hospital & provider accept Medicare Payments for services. If they don’t accept payment t, your bill will NOT be paid & you will be responsible for the current actual billing charges without a Medicare discounted rate.
three blind mice, and probably was a “blonde” in her younger days.
Your healthcare isn’t free!?!?!? JK the cost of living is basically free compared to Canada in the states. Cheapest real estate ever. Everything is dirt cheap in the states compared to Canada.
@@terrancem7804 I wish people realized that, I’m sick of hearing “people in Canada get FREE healthcare” they don’t have a clue what it’s really like for you Canadians !
Keep spreading the word so these idiots will get it .....thanks !
@@terrancem7804 Not everything is dirt cheap, some states have cheaper real estate because of less foreign buyers, otherwise cost of living is the same for both countries.
One thing this woman cannot state truthfully, "Momma didn't raise no fool."
uncensored version anyone?
"I'm gonna pet the bison!!!" "Um no... you're gonna die."
There are signs all over the park. At the gates, everywhere. Don't mess with the animals! Lady is lucky to be alive.
I WANT MY $$$ back! Liars .She did not get gored. The family who filmed this are no good for nothing, whennit comes to making movies. There should be a law against such people who saved the best part of filming for there selves, i want my pop corn.soda.and my $$$ back.
She not
Apologies, but she was from California where everyone puts out good vibes and the world returns it, one with mother nature and all. The wood fairies and buffalo spirit told her that she could go right up and give that "tower of muscle" a big hug because it would just "know" she meant well. At the end she looks like she is holding a conversation and dancing on her toes.
That family was level headed and thanks to them they were there to help. There is a man on RUclips who lets a bear with cubs when she has them, come right up on his porch and eats birdseed while he sits there and talks to them. Recently she came over and mouthed his foot. Everyone on line was like "Oh, she trusts you so much !" and "you are one with the bear"; so was Timothy Treadwell until he and his girlfriend were torn apart and eaten by his special bear friends. People want to think wild animals are outdoor pets when they are anything but. We read into their behavior what we want to believe instead of observing what they are really trying to tell us.
Not just California, you know.
when they bite your leg off, thier trying to communicate with you..."wheres the fucking bbq sauce?!"
Oh my gosh. You are right on the money! My hubby was mentioning Timothy Treadwell while I was reading some of these posts.
Someone on another post here said, "every animal loves me." Man I hope they were kidding...
You win best comment!!
Probably from one of the large cities. In rural NorCal - where many folks are hunters - we have elk, bear, etc. and know how to behave in the presence of wild animals (even small ones).
"Death in Yellowstone - Accidents and Foolhardiness in the First National Park", by Lee H. Whittlesey, should be required reading for some people before visiting!
Nice.
I've read it, and was most terrified of the pools. Some incidents are the stuff of nightmares...
@@ktkt1825 I agree...and yes, the pools/hot pots were by far the most horrific. I borrowed this book out many times and finally never got it back. Stay safe folks!
@@Jules-zg1ip Even though close to the park several times I had never gone. I read this before my first trip, and as a result, I had little interest in the pools, although I know they can be beautiful- Too spooky!
@@ktkt1825 It is stunningly beautiful in person. I have visited many times, usually in the shoulder seasons. July and August are the best times to stay far away from the park....way, way too crowded. If one feels nervous about the animals or natural features, you can take really fun and educational bus tours on their open air vintage yellow buses, amongst many other tour choices. I hope you can go one day! 😊
These people deserve what they get when they try to get this close your signs all over Yellowstone they can't say they didn't know that you can't say they can't read... it's just like with the alligators here in Florida where I live there are signs telling you do not feed them do not molest them it's the same thing here in Florida you have people doing this here too and they get bit or they get killed and guess what the gator ended up getting killed....
True. 0:57 Just look at the damn 2.500 pounds size of that thing. He can crush you.
Well deserved ❤️
It just proves that stupidity comes with any age.
Having gone to Yellowstone a lot over the years...I have seen stunts like this many times before. They want selfies, they want to pet, some people want their kids right beside a big bull etc. they honk their car horns at them to move then get their car dented (often a rental car), yell, make roaring noises, taunt and tease them....same with the bull Elk.
You don't run away, you dive under or behind the concrete camp table. A bison is probably 10 times faster than the 72 year old woman.
You need to think ahead, like don't get near the bison.
⚠️Wild animals can be wild, approach at your own risk.
That bison warned and warned her.
Jeez lady. she's lucky to be alive.
Why do people think that being in the wild is a petting zoo?
The format and editing of this "news story" is the reason I cut the cord and vow to never return to cable/TV news stations
Did you literally cut your cord when you made this life choice is all I want to know, it’s this age old expression but damn, it would be kind of satisfying to cut the cable cord literally then call the company and cancel
Omg…I know that this is an older story but it still boggles my mind that people think they stand a chance of being safe around these Escalade sized animals with twin scimitars welded into their skulls.
It’s akin to me, the country bumpkin, feeling safe walking across an Californian interstate at rush hour while waving banners that insult area gangs. Play stupid games and you’ll win stupid prizes!
There is a video where one bangs a Suburban (nearly an Escalade) and punched a hole in the door- yikes!
It looks like she and the hubby will be selling their luxury RV to pay for a helicopter ride and emergency room care. I am guessing that will cost them easily about $100K.
One would think at her age, she should know better than to even try to pet a wild animal. Guess she learned her life lesson at an old age.
Oh look, a wild animal as big as my car, with horns. Let me get closer!
If you were completely respectful of the animals, you wouldn't be invading their territory in the first place. All those RV's parked right in the bisons' land makes me sick.
“California woman...” say no more
This footage has no impact on any viewer. The attack needs to be shown to teach a lesson.
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”
― George Carlin
What? She's senile! Put her in a home now! She thought that 1200 lb bison was a dog and tried to pet it. SMH
If you see a bison outside of your camper, one don’t leave your camper too if you’re outside out of your camper and it comes near it run
We have a saying in the UK …”As Thick as Mince “ ….She qualifies on all counts
The whole incident should be shown so more people realize just how dangerous and unpredictable these animals are.
People fail to realize (until it's too late) that bison are not just big fluffy cows. Sure, go pet a dairy cow - they usually don't mind. Maybe pet a little farm pig or an Irish Setter. But bison, wild boars, and wolves are there to give you the Darwin award, not an affectionate nuzzle.
Any sane person wouldn’t go near that monsters. Lovely animals though.
Sometimes it's best to let nature take its course. You can't help stupid people, and feel no sympathy for the women that was gored. Don't pet the Bison!
I came here to see her gored and thrown up in the air. Disappointing.
Classic Karen move.
Exactly. To hell with this animal. I want a selfie. Me me me me
Why CUT out the impact part...Click Bait.
I'm shocked they didn't put the bison down. This wild bison minding his own business is a threat to campers.
this entire interview: how to respectfully call someone a dumpazz without calling them a dumpazz...
Why cant we see the whole video? Why is the video cut right before the attack?
That's my aunt and cousins!
I hope the bison is ok.
I Hope that she got a ticket for going to close to the bison on the way out of the hospital.
These people are the reasons space aliens won't talk to us.
This was my second favorite comment 😅
I can't believe just how stupid some people are and i don't feel sorry for them.
Wonder who the lady is gonna try and sue😂😂😂😂
Another heartwarming example how stupid some people are!
She's from CA??? Why am I not surprised.🙄
Im surprised she made it to 72 yrs. old
Why do a “news” story on this then when there is video of it you completely skip the best part?!
The thing moved so quick I missed the actual attack... Gees even in slow mo I couldn't catch it 😳
72 and still clueless
Still can’t find the full video
You mess with the bison you'll get the horns lady.
The Bison attrection to these Women is that 'smelly, smell...that smells'...🦬
Way to go, put the camera down just when the video is about to get interesting!
So no one recorded it?
Makes sense. From California. Good for her.
Anybody have a link to the footage?? So whack it got censored...
Women lives 72 years and acts like a child that almost gets her killed. How the heck did she live 72 years
And she also voted for Trump
@@applejack2911 dang that's probably what increased her life span lol
@@UncleRuckus7600 obviously the Buffalo's no Trump fan.
you couldn't handle the real truth! What truth do you speak of Sir? The truth that the 130 lb female threatened 1700 lb bison. Why else would this poor creature feel a need to defend itself?
Why did they turn off the camera???
Cause they only show men being hurt
I'm sure it was the news station that cut it off. Kid friendly.
You couldn't handle it.
Oh C'mon...everybody knows that wild animals just want people to pet them. Hmmm..I do wonder why they're called WILD animals...strange.
Sarcasm
People like that shouldn't get help. Helping them is stopping natural selection from doing it's job.
This is horrible, is the bison okay?
A fool does not read signs, and gets Bison mad, thus gored.
2020 just keeps on giving...
How do you not have likes on this comment? It’s funny
This is no accident. This is a stupid choice with consequences!
We have actual footage of the attack, but we'll just tell you about it.
how about showing the actually incident....
Hopefully she got a fine as well.
Humans aren't "kinda" the invaders, we ARE the invaders of their land.
Plenty of warnings yet people are still to ignorant to think it could happen to them. I don't even feel bad for people like this. Learn about the area and animals in that area before visiting.
Now she knew better. I wonder if she will be charged for the helicopter.
Arrest the husband for maliciously letting her do that. Did he have life insurance on her?
All that and you couldn't play the actual video?
72 years old??? ... Old enough TO KNOW BETTER 🤔
Ban assault Bisons!
Stood woman, that is not a puppy, it's a wild animal in it's home during breeding season. I will donate to the bison protection fund but you can pay your own bills.
Why cant they show the actual accident :/
Gynocentric censorship
Where’s the footage
Those people should have gone into their trucks/trailers or campers FFS!!!!
From California…..says a lot.
Wow! 100yards for a wolf. I will never go in to the woods.
OMG!!! 👀😳😟😬
Well, well even I know better.🤔
No one thought about telling her not to do that. Lol🤣. They were low key waiting on this to happen. Lol. I pray that the woman is fine.
She shouldn't have to be told... its common sense. She has no self preservation and deserved her injuries.
I imagine they did. People WILL NOT listen.
So we’re just supposed to take their word for it?
