Mate this is utterly insane, thank you for all your work, I was a salad bowl a day guy, intermittent fasting, food pyramid follower, "watch your cholesterol levels", fruit n veg, "balanced diet" ...kind of guy.
All a big pile of freshly laid horse sh*t.
Through my Ramadan fasting and luck, I first came across what you talk about with Dr Jason Fung an actual genius who is a fasting guru with serious medical evidence.
I then rolled into a Cardiologist called Dr Jamnadas from Orlando a few months later, this guy taught me about the fraud that was fruits and again he like Fung talks about fasting.
I then came across Dr Berg who is a salad fan (I know!) But, he has some great ideas as well.
A few months ago (we are now 2 years in) I came across Dr Kiltz and couldn't believe what this guy was saying, "all you need is steak to survive, eat fats"...few months later, your work appeared.
All life changing absolutely insane amazing pieces of research and information. I have been watching these interviews over the last two days on oxalates, cyanides in plants....it's utterly insane what is going on.
In the meantime (whilst I'm following a strict 20 hour dry fast and steak n eggs every 3 days program, doing HIIT everyday...I see around me, people gorging on absolute filth then complaining about their health.
I have also started teaching my children about all this stuff, my eldest who is 10 frequently sees me (47) flexing my ripped lean solid physique in front of the mirror, so because he can see his father looking like a prime athlete, he listens, he eats 1 meal a day and is beginning his own journey in nutrition. The other day he too began flexing at the mirror, lol.
Keep coming with these videos, it is literally changing future generations and your name is tagged to this.

It's wierd. For many years in my twenties I intuitively felt salads and veggies weren't good for me. Yet couldn't give reasons why. So I ate alot of meat. That was in the 80's. I recall how great I felt and never got ill in winter. Over time I fell into the doghole of eating more plants than meat because my dietician advocated its a healthier eating regime. I did this for the next 30 years and suffered with constant acid reflux, joint pains, tiredness, constant back pains and headaches. Obviously fast foods every now and then. Yet, I boiled these symptoms down to stress.
Started with beef, salt and water two weeks ago.
My symptoms are gone and I feel significantly fired up. This is a day/ night turn around.
Looking forward and excited to more improvements on my old diet.

I went carnivore this year. I had been vegetarian for my entire life up to this year. Going carnivore I think saved my life. My gut was having no end of problems and lots of pain on a vegetarian diet. I was always cold and sleepy. I am finally able to stay warm I still have a sleepiness problem but I have a lot of damage to heal from being vegetarian for 30 years. Unfortunately being raised vegetarian probably did unreversible damage to my body but I hope I can cure most of my health issues. I can say I don't have gut problems anymore as long as I don't eat anything but meat and eggs.

I get to see Everyones results. 98% of the time, I Never see meat as ones food sensitivity. Almost Never! If I dp..... that other 2 percent, it is never ever red meat, it is chicken or turkey. With that being said the MOST common offenders and I bet you can guess....gluten, grains, dairy, nuts, greens and bakers and brewers yeast. Everytime!! Then people get their results and ask me, "Well what am I supposed to eat now? I can't have anything!" I say, "Well sure you can. Eat all the meat you want...and some eggs, maybe a few berries..." Then they look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them they just need to cut out all gluten, grains, and dairy. I ended up in the ER because of it (thought I had appendicitis or something and was then diagnosed after a CT scan) and will do anything to stay away from the ER. This information is amazing. @@radoslavsk8591 Still carnivore. I have a simple rotation of things I eat and never deviate from that. Always groceries and I make every meal. Grass fed beef. I get the cheap discounted cuts like Chuck, rump, 85-15 ground beef that must sell that day. Wild caught salmon filet. Organic grass fed beef franks. Organic uncured no sugar added bacon. Grass fed cheese. Grass fed yogurt and grass fed butter. Organic pasture raised humanely treated eggs. Wild caught sardines, sea salt, and 2-3L sparkling mineral water in glass bottle daily. Simple rotation saves time and money. I eat one meal a day. I do a prolonged fast maybe once a month but thinking of doing at least 48 hours weekly. It’s improving my physique, my muscles are slightly more defined, I feel a little better, and I save money when I don’t eat. Successfully did a 72 hour fast last week, my longest ever. I developed a coffee habit due to the fasting, so not pure carnivore but definitely close enough. I have one major concern however and that is my bone density. I did a search on osteoporosis and carnivore diet and from what I read, all meat diet will destroy your bones eventually and you need to eat some plant stuff or drink milk to retain your bone density. I hear if you break your hip, you’re as good as dead. If it weren’t for that, I would be 100 percent confident about my path.

thanks for the encouragement, brother. I have since evolved since my last update. Currently studying to be a full stack web developer and going all in. Maximizing my time, my resources and my energy levels to stay focused and get my certificate in half the time. An essential element to my evolution is the further and absolute simplicity of my diet. I have a 3 months supply of glass-bottled sparkling mineral water, Topo Chico’s my favorite but switched over to mountain valley because its slightly cheaper and the fizz is sufficient. I eat the same thing once a day and spend no more than 20 minutes prepping my meal, I never have to decide what I want to eat and spend no more than 5 minutes at the grocery, saving tremendous buttload of time. I get 3 items: (1) whatever beef is on sale(there’s always beef that will be thrown out that day) I could just freeze it. 15/85 ground, Chuck or rump, fat content may not be as great as sirloin but (2) I get an 8 oz block of grass fed Kerry gold butter that will last 3 meals. For my filler (3) I get 1.5 dzn pasture raised eggs. That will last me 2 meals. Not counting the water, I spend $11-17 per day on food. The diet frees up the necessary resources(time, money, and a tremendous amount of energy and focus) I need to progress at the rate I’m currently at(7 weeks in and I’m already competent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, and within 2 weeks React.js). Diet has been an absolute game changer. This doctor’s simple approach is not only effective, but efficient.

Wow! I am floored by this information. Why wasn't this taught to me in school? I even spent time in medical school and never heard this. I've always wondered why I would get gassy and bloated after eating a bunch of veggies and beans and rice. I've started this last week just eating mostly meat, butter and eggs and I'm not sure if it's in my head but I'm already starting to notice some small changes. I feel really duped as I've always been big on eating vegetables, grains, brown rice and such and wondering why I'm still big. I also ate lots of carbs and sugar. I'm also a cancer survivor of 6 yrs now, and I noticed when i was taking chemotherapy, I could not eat anything processed...nothing. It was the same with sugar. I would literally spit it out as my body rejected it even though my Doctor told me it was ok to eat all of that stuff. I dropped 40 lbs in about 3 months and I believe it was partly the chemo killing my appetite but mostly because I could no longer eat junk during that time. I only ate meat and some veggies and drank water. Couldn't even drink sodas or juice. It was a weird space to be in because I felt horrible from the chemo but at the same time felt great because I was finally able to lose weight with no more joint or back pain. Hmmmmm...🤔

My carnivore journey started a few years ago. We took a new kitten, the old cat died of many severe problems. I realised that cats are carnivores, and when I read the ingredients on catfood I began to see why cats have all those multiple issues, identically to men. It can be hard to stay on track without knowing another person personally who is carnivore, and when 'normals' continually push a lovely 'balanced' meal prepared with love! I'm a yoga teacher and the plant-based lifestyle is part of the yoga community because of ahimsa (do no harm.) One vegan guy told me I was personally destroying the earth with my selfishness. But they believe the lies I believed to - that we actually can thrive and be healthy on plant based diet. I was vegan for 5 years! It almost destroyed my health completly. It's hard sometimes to explain why im Carnivore, and some people react very bad to it, so I'm just telling them that I am allergic to all the plant's that exist ;) With is half a lie...But I feel so good - first time in my life I can exercise, walk without loosing my breath, run, jump. Must remember to re-read what I post when typing on a phone! But here's my 1 month update. Biopsy revealed I too had inherited uc. My first 2 weeks on the diet were hell. I'm not sure how much was due to uc and how much was due to the change in diet, but I was going to the loo 10-15 times a day, each was like a running tap, and each time the bowl was crimson. Middle of week 2, despite all the steak, I had to go to hospital due to chest pain. Blood pressure was abnormally high and my heart rate at rest was 105bpm. It's usually 47. I needed an iron transfusion as iron and haemoglobin was very low. During this time, my haemorrhoids were swelling and agonising too. But I persevered.
Middle of week 3 was like a switch. It just stopped. I didn't have a movement for 2 days and I was terrified of a swing in the opposite direction. Constipation would have crippled me... But I had a solid and the blood colour/freshness suggested only the haemorrhoids were at fault. It was clay coloured, so I supplemented with ox bile but found I only needed to for 4 days... After that my natural bile production resumed.
By week 4 I decided to stop my medication (mesalazine, 1g 4 times daily and pinaverium bromide 4 times daily). No issues occurred.
By the end of week 5 I realised it wasn't just the uc that felt non-existent. I felt incredible! Constant energy. I'd lost 8kg in 3 weeks before starting carnivore due to uc and I looked very ill. The weight has stayed off but I now look super healthy. Skin has improved. Hair is less grey. Sleep is more sound. I've come completely off my antidepressants with no nasty side effects of stopping... This diet is truly miraculous in its outcomes.
I'm writing this as testimonies from carnivore switchers with ibd are tough to find on RUclips. I want to encourage anyone who suffers like I did... It's worth going through the pain barrier if you experience one.
Thank you again Dr Chaffee... Thanks to you I have a quality of life like I haven't experienced in 25 years. God bless you.

I am a 78-year-old male; when I was 54, I cured my ulcerative colitis by going on an Atkins carnivorish diet. It doesn't happen instantly, but give it 90 to 180 days, and it will be gone or significantly improved. My case was so severe that it took about 6 to 8 months before it was gone. My doctor was angry with me and dropped me as a patient because I refused to take his medication 22 years ago, and I have not had a problem. The only thing I have changed is increased good, healthy fats and Protein. About 70% fat to 30% protein. Also, my gout, which I have suffered from since I was in my mid-30s, is not better; it's gone. That didn't happen until I changed the ratio of fat to Protein. Much of what I thought was gout was plantar fasciitis, and once the veteran's hospital got me the proper inserts for my shoes, 90% of what I thought was gout disappeared; the other 10%, I believe, was caused by things like high fructose corn syrup. It doesn't take much! Dr. Chafee, one of your best talks, explains what I have done wrong over the years.

My sister already has diverticulosis, diverticulitis and now has colon cancer. She gets very angry with me when I tell her to eat carnivore and even brags that she can now eat what ever she wants and is gorging herself on carbs and salads with alcoholic beverages. She actually believes she needs the fiber to clean herself out. Her doctors are guiding her to eat this way, and she thinks I am stupid and very misinformed. She uses more colorful language. Actually most of my family think the same way and I can't change their minds. I don't have the best of health I lived the same way for many years, but started to reduce carbs years ago but never eliminated them entirely until recently. I smoked until 2017 and let myself get run down from 2003 through 2015, because I was putting all my energy into end of life care for parents, then and still now to some degree dealing with emotional issues stemming from that, which at first was profoundly debilitating, 2010 through 2017 these last few years steadily better. I started fasting and carnivore about three years ago, off and on. then seriously about 6 mos ago when I needed to lose weight so I could fit into my uniform for work. There was literately a 4 inch gap to close my uniform pants, which hang very loose off me now, and before the pandemic. I also have COPD, which I am trying to heal, I got myself off the drugs and the oxygen and went back to work just before I started the carnivore diet.

I'm really sorry to hear that, but very proud of you for turning your health around. As to your sister and family on fiber, the only things ever to have a clinically proven increased risk of developing diverticulosis are 1. More fiber in your diet, and 2. More bowel motions per day, which goes hand in hand with more fiber.
      Fiber causes colon disease

Tell her about the Beat Diabetes RUclips channel. Humans are designed by God to eat vegan and Carnivore and everything in between, depending on several factors such as genetics, activity level, quality of food & preparation methods, frequency of meals, intermittent fasting, stress levels. Metabolic flexibility allows humans to live in more places on the planet and to survive food variety emergencies ok like drought & war & sickness. We're not designed for a low fat diet though, which forces too many carbs or lean proteins which turn into glucose over a moderate amount of protein that we need. There are no essential carbohydrates true, but that doesn't at all mean we have to always avoid plants. We don't need all this beauty in nature to look at either, or human made art or music or games for survival, but extras make life more fun. We are designed to tolerate a certain amount of carbs as fun or emergency food like when grain kept people alive during a severe 7 year drought in Egypt and neighboring areas. Not enough grass and water for the animals, so the people HAD to switch temporarily to a mostly carbs diet. Thank God for Metabolic flexibility!!! The Inuit in Alaska survived very nicely for many generations on an almost entirely Carnivore diet, otherwise couldn't live up north. It's much harder to eat a purely vegan diet and have excellent health for a long life but it's possible too, just not in Alaska or the desert if relying on local food only. They can be very healthy in Mexico 200 years ago on a higher carb diet of a lot of heirloom corn prepared properly and their lifestyle had to be extremely active to survive. No machinery, no automobiles, no factory processed foods or chemicals.

      YES!!
Plant all the the plants that those tasty tasty prey animals LOVE to eat... then kill and eat the ones who come to eat at your plant buffet!
My family bought 180acres of land with lake front...as a 5 years Carnivore I have found the idea of planting crops/ garden utterly pointless as I will never eat the plants... but then I realized ... if I plant the favorite things that the animals I want to eat like to eat... I dont have to look for them, dont have to spend hours stalking them...they will come to my garden...and food forest and areas where I would broadcast corn and other grains which they love ...the grains they don't eat will grow and develop more grains and attract the tasty animals again and any grains that are missed grow to attract more tasty critters ...
I'm beginning to think that a lot of the ' First Nations' grew corn, other cereal crops and things like pumpkins, beans and squash; NOT to eat themselves but to attract animals so that they didn't have to go looking for them the animals would come to them. The prey animals would be WAY easier to find, kill and eat.

After being diagnosed with T2D at the end of June this year I have gone all-in researching that and diet and have been astounded at what I have learned. I have gone carnivore since I didn't want to follow the very apathetic and lazy advice of my doctor and take the Metformin and the statin he so casually and robotically prescribed to me. I've already lost about 15kg and feel SOOOO much better all over. I dropped the pills after about 5-6 weeks since my blood sugar levels went back to normal. My doctor seemed upset that I had done that even though I showed him my blood sugar reading data. He did grumble that he had never seen anyone return to normal so quickly since practicing so I think his ego and god complex is taking a hit from a mere mortal like me.
Can't wait for next month to show the results from my a1c and hopefully I can convince him to open his mind and learn like I did so he can really start to help patients get back to a healthy life. Thanks Dr. Chaffee for putting in the effort to all of us that would be lost without truly caring professionals like yourself.

Yeah you would think that a doctor would sit up and take notice if they saw something work brilliantly that they had never encountered before. Wouldn't you want to ask questions and find out exactly what was going on? I certainly would. And I've met several good doctors who did exactly that, including my mother's doctor when she came in and reversed her type 2 diabetes in 2 months. So hopefully he stops being grumpy and starts paying attention to something that could revolutionize patient care for all of The people relying on him for help

Dr Chaffee this is an excellent resource for us carnivore's, I find the more I learn about all the benefits of just doing this switch into an all meat diet the more my actual beliefs start aligning with that lifestyle and taking away the energy from the wrong indoctrinated beliefs I was raised to think. Thanks for the time you put into this.

Thankful for carnivore. I have lost 120 lbs, feel better and can where clothes sizes I haven’t worn in years.

Fifty some years ago, a very premature baby came into our family. The mother could not nurse for some reason. The doctor, back then a family doctor, made up a formula recipe for the mother to feed her child. I don't know the recipe but I know for sure it was meat based. That baby thrived!

Someone told me that if we were meant to eat meat than we would have the very short intestinal track of a tiger or lion, but instead we have the long intestines of an omnivore. This was back in the day when I was studying the BLOOD TYPE DIET. They also said that the reason the intestines were so short in meat eaters was because the meat was so toxic that it needed to be evacuated as quickly as possible. I have just started 10 days ago priming and I feel truly fed for the first time in my life and am so thankful to have found this life style. I just watched this great video of urs but still don't know why we have such a long intestine. Would love ur feedback when you get a sec. Ty so much for the service ur providing, it's life changing and life saving.

    • @anthonychaffeemd
      @anthonychaffeemd  2 года назад +11

We actually have a relatively short colon, as compared to herbivores and omnivores. We have a relatively longer small intestine, as do all carnivores, as this is where we absorb the majority of our nutrients

Hi Dr Chaffee. I've been going full carnivore for roughly 15 months now and the benefits have been amazing and gradually more are coming in.
Through the process, I've been listening to, reading up on and follow many research sources and carnivore pioneers including yourself, and find this wonderful presentation of yours especially compelling, densely packed, informative and easy to understand.
I was wondering whether you'd permit me translating and dubbing this video into my native language in order to spread the message to audiences who aren't very well versed in English. Thank you very much and keep up the great work!

What a wonderful presentation!! We had tried carnivore before and 3 weeks in I had a reaction in my eyes, they got really blurry. Went to an eye specialist and she said they were just fine. I watched your interview with Sally Norton as well and I believe I was having a reaction to the oxilates from the plants trying to rapidly leave my body. So going into carnivore again, I will take it slowly as she talks about, but mainly eating red meat. ❤

I had been breaking out in a rash all over my back and stomach for over a year and a few months ago my hair started falling out like crazy. Finally went to the doctor and discovered I could no longer eat gluten. I never knew gluten could cause hair loss. Been GF 2 months. No more rashes no hair loss. Slowly cutting other grains and veggies and working towards carnivore.
