Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira gave one of the most energetic performances of Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with their song Run Away. They were rewarded for it and brought back a Final qualification, placing 21st in the Final.
Sunstroke project is a symbiosis of a violin, saxophone and live vocals, making up a fashionable chaos of music. They've given concerts in more than 30 cities and 40 clubs all over Europe and have had many hits. That all is in spite the fact they were founded less than 2 years ago. Olia Tira has moved around a lot in her early years as she was born in the family of an officer. She even lived in the Far East but went to school in her native Moldova. Even though she's only 21, she's already achieved a lot, having released an album already and taking part in international song contests. She is hosting a morning show on one of the TV channels and her pictures are on the covers of many popular magazines, her songs are very popular and you can hear them on TV and all radio stations in Moldova.

emmams5 Well, "great singers". Honestly she was pretty bad. The guy has a voice that fits the song very well, but hers sounded really forced. And they simply didn't blend well.
As for the rest, considering the eurotrash we have to hear most years, yeah, this song should've ranked much higher. It's usually laughed at because of the sax guy performance (epic, btw XD), but given the crap you usually hear/see in Eurovision this song was actually pretty good.

I think the song is cool and not only because of the epic sax guy.
Even if Moldova didn't get a high placing, the song will always be stuck in our minds and that's what makes a song great. Really, who remembers one of the boring ballads? (and I like some ballads but they aren't that memorable)

I love how the lights are red while they´re singing in this early 2000s raver-style costume and suddendly it changes to the epic sax guy with blue lights and 80s style clothes that is playing a melody totally different to the rest of the song.

I am not sure if they are playbacking. If you listen closely, the singers are actually a little out of tone (and breath) and even sax has mic. So i think they are live. But maybe it is only act and they are playbacking.

Well its the ONLY song anyone remembers from 2010, so good enough!
It's an entertaining song, and I actually love it, but it had some obvious flaws. They kept slurring all of their words. It sounds like the female singer isn't singing in time with the music and the male singer is singing too low. Not that the winner necessarily deserved to win, but objectively speaking this song isn't very good. As I said before though, I like it anyway.

I feel like Germany won not because the song was objectively the best, but because it was different. It was same when horror hard rock band Lordi won in 2006. I think that sometimes the winner of the contest is the one that is unique and different rather than the best song.
