Landed an online gig and been living in Phuket for 8 months now. Couldn’t be more satisfied with my current life set up, especially compared to America.
If you don’t want to move just yet you can certainly go on vacation there or anywhere in Asia (Korea, Japan, etc) and get all the same benefits just for a shorter amount of time. Definitely would be an eye opener if your decent looking and get nothing in the west.

The way you make money doesn’t matter that much, it’s the way you go about it and your mindset. Just choose whatever interests you the most or what you would be good at.
I will forever believe this: the southern US is the best place to find high quality people and life. Yeah sure, the crime might be a little high in some locations but everything else is fantastic. People are religious, they are more traditional, and thanks to poverty in quite a few locations, people are less controlled by the internet. The region has more freedom, less feminism, is a lot cheaper, and has an amazing climate with many beautiful locations such as in NC and SC. Yeah, I think the idéa is making money in whatever western country (some online income or just getting your boss to let you work from home if applicable) and living in for example Thailand. That way you earn as much as an Englishman would, while having lower expenses from living in Thailand. You get more for your money.

Yeah. You can do 2? Border runs and a couple extensions to your visa before you have to leave the country for a bit. Tourist visa. May be different if you buy a place but you can’t put that place in your name. It gets a bit tricky. Pop in for a few months. You’ll learn all about it. As long as you avoid the cops it’s a stupid cheap place to run around in. I lived in Pai, Bangkok, Chiang Mai primarily for half a year. Koh Samui is down south with all the tourist islands. Bit more expensive but totally worth it if you can make money while abroad. Enjoy.

Get an educational visa for language or Muay Thai. Most cases you don’t even have to attend the classes if you don’t want to.
