@@happinesshotel5375 shifting gears on a bike is not hard if you have driven a car before. It's the same principle. However he would most likely crash during the first 10 seconds because he isn't used to the power.
Always find it amazing how stuntmen are able to make it look like they're genuinely struggling to ride a bike (or drive a car, etc.), meanwhile they're in 110% control.
It’s an amazing skill. Us normie riders don’t even realize stuff like being tense, not gripping the tank with your knees, tight shoulders (that hurt your control of the bike) and these stuntmen can be in full control, relaxed, and *fake* tension and panic.
These are not Jim Carrey fans talking about the sound of the bike, they all are here for that bike. So yeah, I guess I have to be the one to say "Nice movie, Jim Carrey never disappoints".
the scene at 2:22 has a lot of detail, one thing, look at Allison, she has bags under her eyes and before this, they were warming up but she wasn’t her usual giddy self, when Carl starts doing the donuts in front of her, she’s fixated and yet sad, her eyes are wet too. This sequence is also perfectly synced with the guitar solo of separate ways by journey. This scene is very well composed to the small details
@@christianc1769 You misunderstood him; he was asking which film the scene in question was parodying. Personally I think it's just making fun of the standard protagonist walking in slow motion cliche.
This is the best scene in the movie. First time I saw it I absolutely cracked up hahaha. And amazingly it really only just occurred to me that twice he rocks up to the jogging spot like a crazy person, once with Roony and Lee after hitting the clubs all night and then here on the Ducati. Crazy how I never really took notice of that but it's exactly the same spot and all the jogging group must think he's completely off his head lol.
He was downshifting and slowing down because there was a car in front of him. The camera man was travelling slower which gave the illusion of speeding up.
When I first watch this movie I thought it was really Jim carrey riding. But years later, after having 4 motorcycle myself, I not only know he is not riding, but his character he's playing can actually ride. You can't just have luck like this
Tfw when you've been practicing stunting on a motorcycle for months with years of riding experience beforehand and you see a character who supposedly has only ever rode on a moped ride quarter-mile long wheelies, pull perfect stoppies, and drift a bike with no problem xD
Paul Henstock someone from the US who has never ridden a motorcycle before, with no toutoring, wouldnt be able to ride a 250cc dirtbike without either stalling it or flipping it.
I'm in the same boat. All this video did was irritate me. a V twin does not sound like an inline4 , he keeps the clutch in and a brake lever never goes down to the handlebar unless broken. these RUclips bots are getting out of hand. :C
There's a big and unrealistic traffic booboo in this scene. Starting at 1:16, there's a gold Suzuki sedan that completely drives through the red light. On its right side, a Jeep Wrangler and a Hyundai Sonata actually stop at the light as if their right is red when you can clearly see it's green. A Crown Vic taxi follows the Suzuki behind as if their light is green when it's clearly red. Now, I understand they were trying to simulate traffic to make it look realistic and they probably thought no one would notice but it's something that I happened to recognize since I pay close attention to certain details. So here's what I think they should've done. They should've waited until the cycle was in a correct loop (Suzuki's light be green/Jeep and Hyundai's light be red) in order to look genuine and not completely fake.
wow ducati 4 inline, very impressive owh and btw the reason he pulls the clutch everytime he rides just to reduce the sound so he can fit in the 4 inline sound
Even the sound editing couldn't hide the sound of that amazing ducati engine. I know it's a movie but you don't need to make every bike sound like a bandit!
The Ducati is a wonderful motorcycle. Not the best but you want is the most power to wright ratio for a fast bike. Ducati superleggera V4 is 220 HP at 69 HP per pound . Crighton CR700W is 319 HP at 1.68 HP per KG. Rio soeed over 300.

Cylinder deactivation. Next it's gonna switch between four-stroke to two-stroke, but you gotta pay Ducati extra for that.
