Excellent review on these monitors! Have been researching smaller monitors to update my portable studio for voice over. Finding these are a game changer in allowing me complete post production review outside of headphone use. And frankly speaking...really cannot justify the additional cost increase for the ILOUD. Smaller package. Yes a real plus. A few other features. Yes. Sound quality, awesome as well. But, at three (3) times the cost? Hummmm. I think not. Clear, true, flatly tuned audio is all that is needed with my clients and their prod. engineers. Love the mid details you discussed regarding the JBL 104's.. Thank you again. That's a very interesting perspective - one that's been in the back of my head, growing up, listening to Metal/Classic Rock/'80's New Weave, etc., on Panasonic Boom Boxes of the early-mid-'80's! - that you talk about here! Sometimes, the consumer equipment might reveal the shortcomings of a recording, before the high-end stuff does, simply because that kind of music just so happens to occur around car stereos and boom-box-type equipment the most!

The only bit that was a little snake oil was the part about not needing the bulky power cord as it is a little worse to have the wore going between them than for it to be separate... the power cord isn't bulky but maybe a tiny bit more than the wore going between, but the wire going between is a little more fiddly and each wire going to each one. These are, as you say, great for the mid and low mid essentials in mixing, for other frequencies when starting out go with headphones as they can be more revealing at a lower cost. These are great for RUclips content creators, also because translation to lesser systems is far more present, and that is where these shine. You need audio to translate to laptops and phones a lot more frequently. Most music heads know they need a little more to enjoy music. But if something translates well on these you know you have a good chunk of listeners covered. They might not have the detail as higher-level speakers but then simply that costs more. Their a great first time buy to use later on as B monitors that you have become accustomed to. For the price they are amazing. And if you are making bass-heavy music they are actually also good... due to bass-heavy isn't often to do with going down to ridiculously low Hz... it's how the bass fits... and if it fits on these people will vibe with the bass much more than bass that is all sub with no low-mid. The more professional you get the more you will want the sub to be very clear, but hopefully, by then, you can afford that.

They came with an aux cable with the red and white type plugs and a pair of AKG r72 Studio headphones ... I think that's the model . But yeah bro i cant wait til they come I'm a JBL fanatic . I've only heard good things about them , how have your mixes been translating !?
Manny XO got mines bro 😤🔥 I’m having to adjust my sound tho my mixes are coming out rough , they sound good on the JBL104s but when I play them on my JBL Charge 3 or these AKG R72 headphones the bass is really distorted like it’s too strong
They lack alot of low-end for me so it's hard to really gauge if my levels are right. It's also hard for me to gauge on my focals too so maybe I just need to train my ears better.

I had a set of these for a couple of weeks and they where the worst speakers I have ever had, bottom end heavy refused to take the bluetooth, and yes I did have the BT model, and the most annoying start up sound that could not be turned off, returned them for credit and then went and got a set of Genelecs, could not be happier. The motto to the story, buy cheap and you will buy twice, oh and the power cable would vibrate out during use no matter how I tried to get it to stay in place.

I checked eBay and they are at a reasonable price. A set of jbl’s cables headphones 🎧 and speaker foam was only 139 I think I’m interested 🤔
