I just picked up a pair of these, from Amazon Warehouse, for use as desktop monitors for mixing ambient material for my work, and forthcoming single and album. I absolutely love them, and incredibly, I was lucky enough to get them for £72 for the pair. I am upgrading the speaker cable, also because I need white cable for my all white studio setup (I have the white monitors) Very pleased indeed.
This its a great way to get speakers a home DJ set at home and if you in apartment and you want great sound but not too much in a punch those speakers are dope. Great Review.
We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ruclips.net/user/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
Space or sound quality? Hmmmmm. I think they should have had included a sub output or, better yet a dedicated powered sub option with THE portable case!
Is there any way to turn off that standby mode? I use these for reference monitors and for general computer speakers and it's annoying to have to wake them up during zoom calls and other important meetings. Any advice?
Nice, would you consider reviewing the Kali Audio LP-6 Studio monitors as well? They're in the same price range and everywhere I read stunning reviews about them. Could be a great solution for DJ's/producers on a budget that need a bit more sound precision.
Always try to get a subwoofer of the same company / Manufacturers as your speaker pair It's not necessary but it can help as the manufacturer made the product keeping their other products in mind
Would these be any good for casually listening to music in addition to their intended purpose for mixing? I'm eyeing these for my college dorm desk (which is puny) and I'd like speakers I can use with my Focusrite 2i2 and tube amp head (with a "cab clone") to play guitar at low volumes, as well as just listen to Spotify and whatnot. Do these fit the bill?
Hello I'm looking for a studio monitor for dialogue and voice over editing and also for some multimedia consumption. I have a small 3/3 room. Would you recommend this or any other option? My budget is 150$
i have them in black and they look like black crew members from Among us beans also my left monitor doesn't want to make any sounds i'm lost ( : EDIT: it got fixed but i almost got bruises on my fingertips. there's a very specific way you have to put the wires in and holding the clips open isn't making it any easier. BUT once they're in and settled, the sound is amazing
Just got mine and intuitively hooked up the RCA inputs on the back and noticed it sounded weak, and muffled... was disappointed, but then tried the BT connection. OH MAN, what a difference. These things KICK. After reading the manual it stated that the RCA inputs are lower db.
What’s your opinion on the jbl 104 for amplitube guitar sim amps and positive grid guitar 🎸 software amp. Will they be great for this software amps rigs and guitar 🎸 playing tones ???
I bought these and I got a scarlet to record vocals with at home. Should I just connect the speakers to the Mac or buy different leads to connect it to the Scarlett if you could help that would be helpful thanks.
On the back of every scarlett are two line outputs (L, R). These are called the TRS outputs and you should find the same on the back of your jbl. You just connect these outputs with two TRS cables and that's it. Hope this was helpful
I love these speakers. However... You need good line input voltage as I find these speakers are slightly quiet with input from my mp3 audio player. They are awesome from my laptop line-out voltages though.
Hi! I have a traitor S4 MK3 and I'm having cracking sounds issues from left speaker on low sounds :( How do you recommend me to connect it to mi 104 speakers?? Can I use booth mains out from my controller and connect it to the speakers? I play techno and I'm frustrated because of these cracking sounds :(
I saw your windows laptop in this video... you made that initial video asking opinions about it, but not much more after that!! is there a video coming about your experience so far djing with windows laptops???
I've only used these for a week and my left speaker stopped working and I have no clue why :( I didn't even use them that loud, could it be the speaker wire?
Hey, i’ve bought these a while ago to connect to my record player and they work great. I was wondering if they support bluetooth? I really don’t know how technology works sorry if i sound dumb haha
Hello, I know this isn't really related to this video/topic at all but I have a dj gig coming up in the next week and I'm in a mess now. Anyone know of like a DJ pool or something for karaoke music? Thanks
Good day, I need some help. Can I connect JBL 104 Studio Monitors to an audio interface? My audio interface is Muslady 222A 2-Channel USB Audio System Interface. I hope someone can answer my question. Thank you.
@@EmshoC Thank you for responding, I assumed that I only needed one TRS cable since there was an extension cable running through the “extension monitor”
I have been using a pair of JBL 104 for several weeks now. Several problems. The speakers have a long delay turning on when I start to play music - typically 20 seconds. This is very annoying. I have to sit and wait for the speakers to turn on and this eats up precious studio time. Also the bass response is too pronounced. The frequency response is not flat. Overall a very disappointing purchase. Anyone know how I can send these back to JBL?
@@DanielRodriguez-fg5ll my interface is Presonus Audiovox USB 96. Headphones plugged into the Presonus turn on immediately. But the speakers have a long delay before turning on. I bought these speakers new and I'm disappointed.
Why oh why do you need to edit out normal breathing pauses? It is almost painful to listen to. There is no such editing in real-life conversations we manage quite well in the real world and comprehension takes the few milliseconds you are saving! Ugh!

Check out the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors...even smaller, better frequency response and 5hz lower bass response

It is actually a very nice review but I am still giving a thumb down, as this is a speakers review WITHOUT sound test!!!??? Heard of NCS music???
These are just not loud enough, I don't like turning anything up to 80-90% to hear it 5' away. I can't imagine what anyone would use these for.
Tips and Tricks?
Standby can be turned off easily.
A sound test would’ve been helpful.
