Just to clear up a few questions that may arise. I own the 40 acres beyond our targets, yes there is a backstop of soil that is 6' tall and 20' wide not to mention the grade goes up over 300' beyond the target. I know where all of my pets and children are at all times. I am also a firm believer in our rights as US citizens and we practice safe gun handling at all times. *If you are not* into firearms that is totally fine too and I respect your decision to be that way just as much as I ask you to respect us. I am from the Netherlands, we can't have guns over here we are not allowed to defend ourselves. Only the bad guys have guns here and the police but that is the same.
Yes that's why I like Eric O. He's a big big trump man. Flags waiving high and proud. The biggest trump 2024 flag in the county is at his property. Traditional family values, wife cooks and cleans and actually listens to husband. Good God fearing woman u got there
Of coarse.. because being their Neighbors means you have an awesome place on 50 acres with a pond, dirt bike track, gun range, etc. etc.... Yeah, everyone should be living like this-- cities over 100k people should be abolished.
Mrs O shooting reminds me of the time my son and I went to the range, He brought his new girl friend and after shooting the 22 a couple of times she asked if she could try the 44 Magnum. We said OK and she put 6 in the black at about 30 feet. My son and I just looked at each other in amazement. They ended up getting married.
This is what I find pride in living in the United States and the freedoms we have. No one is criminalizing the firearms! Out side, together, and having a good time!
In an alternate universe, Eric O has the best gun shop/channel on youtube, and he works on cars after hours. Seriously though, I can’t tell you how glad I am to see my favorite auto mechanic channel embrace family values and the 2A. Wheel gun or impact gun, I will watch. Thanks for the content.
I am more scared about confronting an armed Vanessa than than you Eric. At least I might have a chance escaping with you being armed!! I remember a video you posted a few years ago when you said something about Vanessa and guns. I don't remember the exact words, but I am sure it was something about not messing with an armed Mrs O! so what have we learned? 1) Don't EVER mess with Vanessa 2) come for Eric after he's had his coffee and can't hit the broad side of a barn with a bag of rice! fun video!

Blow up balloons and hook them under the rubber bands, about 5 on each side. Great reactive targets that are cheap. A breeze can make it more challenging too. Love some "away from the shop" family time.
Erik, dont be embarrassed, my wife outshoots me every time, just means I cant piss her off.. great fun! thanks for sharing life on the Eric O homestead.
Eric, your Mrs. O is a real Mama Bear. You don't have to worry about the kids when she's around. Funny, I got me an older Colt Trooper III .357 Magnum, took my wife shooting years ago, we were using factory full loads. She was hitting bullseyes at about 20 feet (good for home defense). I was coming home a day early from a week trip, it was late night, I didn't call her. I was fiddling with the keys at the front door, I walked in and she had the revolver pointed at me. She was taking care of our kids. Damn, that was a close one. Good Video, safety was first! 👍
Geez for minute there I thought Mrs. O was shooting a newer 870 the way it wouldn't pick up a shell. Odd for a Mossberg. Is the shell latch out of time? In any event, even though you and Mrs. O missed some stationary targets, the bad guys are dead. Your first ones always hit. Nice to see fellow Upstate NY'ers enjoying their firearms in our Liberal Blue State.
I think the timing is good on it. It's just when you work the action quickly. It flicks the two and a half inch shell up and hits the edge of the chamber. If you rack it slow and don't jostle the shell, it works just fine. Or if you use a 3-in it works fine.
@@TheRealEricO OK, You did say that in the video. I was an Engineer at Remington in Ilion and although I worked mostly with the 700 and Military products, I would get exposure to pump action shotguns with the MCS. Always 12 gauge. Maybe it has to do with shell weight as these are .410. 2 1/2 inch shells just too light for a quick cycling of the action. The 3" with more weight stays down. We would call your issue "Fails to feed" where the empty shell ejects but the live round does not present in a way where it can be pushed into the chamber. It looks like a tip up presentation. Meaning they work the mechanism the same with a low brass 2 3/4 as they do the 3". If you do that you may have hang ups. The 3"- 3 1/2 pump action needs to be worked HARD. The 2 1/2 not as much. It may not have the right stroke to chamber the round and will result in a jam. We have seen platforms that simply will not shoot everything even though its advertised as such.
