The angloids is my new favourite word! Great video, I would definitely come early to check the XXXL shopping cart drive around the field before a match.
The Círculo Militar gymnasium has a capacity for 2,300 people, almost the minimum mark in the video. A multipurpose Arena will be built where's Pinheirão today. There is also a small stadium for Rugby and the municipal Baseball stadium. Paraná Club second stadium will be demolished, the team is in financial difficulties and no one plays there anymore.
Also, some may have heard about Curitiba because of their once mayor, urban designer and architect Jaime Lerner, who wrote a great piece on how we understand the cities - Urban Acupuncture. Maybe this is a part of where these high standards of living come from. Edit - misspelled.
I am just reading about him, very cool. So many of these modern ideas especially in the 60s and 70s haven't stood the test of time but some of his policies seem very simple yet obvious and have left an impact it appears.
The Pinherao will be demolited on the end of 2025 and and a new multi use arena for the 27.000 people will be bulited on the place, on the same place a new convenction Center will be made too!
The Pinheirão Stadium was built and belonged to the Paraná football federation (in Brazil each state has its own federation, which are affiliated with the CBF, which is affiliated with FIFA), even though it was a football federation, it had this terrible oval shape, and with each main team in the city already having their own stadiums, it is no surprise that it was abandoned, now it will be demolished, and will make way for a complex that will have a multipurpose arena.
Really like that Estadio Couto Pereira, looks great.
Don't think I knew-knew about this city but looks lovely and some very nice stadiums! I thought that first one was going to be hard to beat

I'm surprised that Estádio do Pinhão was mentioned
