An ancient culture and remnants of the First Natives Peoples of Trinidad existence in today's world. Thanks coco boy for showing us this part of the world.
I don’t know why people don’t want to acknowledge this guy. If he says he is indigenous then that’s who he is . The Caribs in Arima and Lopinot are not the only indigenous people. My ancestors were Caribs and I am as black as Eric but I am still indigenous. It is what it is.
I think the problem is he is too familiar and ordinary. Perhaps if he was like the Europeans, they would appreciate him. Trinidadian love others more than they love their own local people. It is probably a caribbean thing, not for all but some.
We are very much here and do not recognise Eric and his colonist ideas. Princes, castles and other such ideas have no place in Indigenous culture, Those are ideas from the coloniser who traditionally ruled in such manner.
@@irthadaniel8183Thank you for clarifying. I am not indigenous (and recognise Carib ancestry as still existant esp in places like the Santa Rosa and Paramin communities) but as a Trinidad I have never heard of this guy Erik with all due respect to him. Also, yes Europeans traditionally have had Kings, Queens, Princes ect but so too have Africa not so? Either way, I'd like to know the actual origin of Erik's story.
I do know quite a bit about Nigeria have a close friend from there and all their various tribes have kings, queens, prince and princess and chief and they always have them even before being colonized..
Eric has taught you nothing about Indigenous people as he is not a representative of us. Indigenous people have outlasted and still live all over the Caribbean, including Trinidad, there is much information that a Google search will give you.
@irthadaniel8183 may God bless and protect Eric from your ill will. He has been doing his best to preserve our indigenous heritage and culture throughout the country. Sad that you are furious about him. I don't know the relationship that you both had in the past, but damn you sound hurt from this Chief guy.
The Grand Chief Eric is doing a great job representing the First Peoples of all of Trinidad and Tobago. Good Blessings be with him and all that he does.
Hope his people in Trinidad understand the meaning of their rich heritage through the contributions that the Prince is making to upkeep their ancestors' practices alive, in a modern times.
Very interesting and informative it is indeed enjoyable to see the First Peoples in this video. My family and I visited and can say that the guy is legitimate and has been pushing the community up in a big way. Many blessings to him and his family.

Eric is beautiful.. Ask him if he’s looking for a wife for ME Coco Boy 🥰😍 I’m from a fishing village in Barbados, and I have strong spiritual and ancestral ties to my indigenous lineage from both North & South America 🤎
This man does not represent Indigenous people of Trinidad and Tobago. Please stop promoting this falsehood. Indigenous people recognise no princes, kings, kingdoms - all these are terms and titles of colonialism and the colonised, Indigenous belief systems do not support or promote what Eric does. Anyone can call themselves anything, it does not make it so, Official court proceeding were filed against Eric for trying to hold a ceremony to crown himself Chief or king or whatever else he fancies, and he was stopped and banned Officially from doing so. Indigenous people of Trinidad are not aligned with Eric or the Catholic or any other church. It is so unfortunate that because one man sees a place where he can claim power or authority for himself results in the further desecration of a people and our culture. I really wish these vloggers would do more research into Indigenous cultures of the Caribbean before promoting this foolishness.
He repeatedly represents his people of Trinidad and Tobago in the most memorable way that no one else is doing. Trinidad is a small world with only a minority of people who identify with indigenous heritage. Very good that he identify with his indigenous heritage and has been doing well for his ancestors and his people. Everyone has a great purpose for their existence, and he is truly into what he is doing and living. Why don't you all work out your differences and find grounds to work on the Indigenous community. 😢😢 All the unnecessary drama 😮
Did you do your research on the coronation ceremony? The court ruling is not valid and was a Facebook Court. More-or-less a fake Court. How gullible are you to believe everything that you read in mainstream media. Your comments condem also the other indigenous groups in Trinidad, Mexico, Venezuela and other parts of the world who a way more indigenous that any of the Trinidads and they are most Catholic. Their ceremonies begins not in the Church but at the Basilica Church in Mexico.

Something fishy about dis guy
A lot of us are decendants of amerindians, they were in the dark ages, so a museum to show how they live physically and spiritualy, ok, but to upkeep the spiritual wickedness is not good.
Cocoboy is very cheap and annoying
To answer your title Cult = Culture
Lol this looks like a joke to me because he’s the only one that is actually from here
Go look up the profile in the link it's actually official. Tilo shared a lot about the Indigenous peoples of Trinidad
They are not the only group that represents indigenous peoples. That is why it is good that Cocoboy showed these others in the South.
The history of both groups are very interesting from what I have been following.
It's good to respect the presence of both Groups and their leadership
Blessing from the pope????

@@JosanSiloett either something is Good or evil. Christ or antiChrist.
I am also a descendant of the first people but those of Dominica. Spiritual wickedness is the tradition, serious devil thing.
The pope is a big blight.
@Fustic-be1xd you too judgemental. Everything is evil for you. Who are you to be condemning everything?
