Plus the Brian Lara Stadium, the the National Aquatic center in Couva. Our Cycling Velodrome. Also in Couva. Asa Wright bird scantuary in Arima. There are cottages to stay in. Snd a small waterfall to cool off in. Numerous waterfalls. The water Park. Numerous huge malls to shop. Toco / Manzanilla in the country side. There are beaches there . Night life on Ariapita Ave. and night life in south Trinidad. San Fernando hill. Paramin lookout. Gasparee caves down the Island. And much more. Trini’s outside of Trinidad. And gate is only free for students whose parents or themselves are making minimum wage, otherwise you have to pay a percentage for each pay grade.
If U have to pay 25% (the percentage for the lowest pay grade) you will most likely have to may close to 4000 or for other degrees could be 9000 each semester

Gate is still there, however it depends on income levels. There are some ppl who would get near 100% cover, some 50%, some less. In my case personally, my child was covered 50% by GATE due to our income levels, of which i have no problem because there are ppl who really really need it more. This method is better because a lot of money was being wasted with the "free for all". Sometimes when things are made too easy there is a lot of wastage.

@@007ralph4 on the contrary, the "pickings" are very good still, but if you want to be spoon fed and on top of that they want someone to help them "chew" then they may say it not good. I have well travelled and trust me, we good still. The laws & culture still are very accomodating, but yuh got to work!!! But many cant come out of the "gimme gimme" attitude. I have had friends who came here from Syria and Africa and they ask the same question "what is wrong with these youths, ya'll have so much". Another friend who is a visiting economics lecture says to me, the gov't gives too too much. A small portion of ppl pay taxes, yet there is a large portion that does not, including many small/medium businesses. Mind you, EVERYBODY going for their old age pension chq, including those who never work a day in their lives. The laws still permit CARICOM member children to register for schooling and entitled to free public health care...i myself only found out a lot of these things since my brother was a dipolomat. Guyana has bauxite, gold, diamonds, granite, manganese, timber, etc... Guyana houses a part of the world's most extensive rainforest: the Amazon, which maintains balance on this planet. Guyana exports sand to the Caribbean islands suffering from erosion. Guyanese rice feeds Trinidad, Venezuela, Jamaica, etc... Guyanese coconuts are exported to Trinidad. Guyana has many other natural resources including the recently discovered HIGH QUALITY (not low grade) oil and gas. Macqueripe is usually calm from the day after the full moon to the new moon, approximately 14 days generally speaking. Its most beautiful then., the days before the full moon, are most rough but from those rough waves, the soft sand is brought from the sea, onto the beach and covers the gravel. From new moon to full moon however, generally speaking, its choppy to rough within those 14 days of the lunar , '28 day cycle.'.
