- It was an great experience to meet for a one-on-one conversation with Police Officer Roger Alexander, known for his candid declaration, "I'm as Real as It Gets!" During our discussion, I aimed to delve deep into the roots of the extreme criminal activity plaguing Port of Spain, seeking insights from one of Trinidad's most renowned and respected law enforcement figures.

CHRIS YOU'VE GONE WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE IN TRINIDAD
BIG UP
Fore real. Chris has a skill of communication language that transcends socioeconomic lines. Big up and bless Chris. Mad respect.
They were all paid for those interviews and Chris Channel boosted up ..
@@allancrane8446 Is manipulated skill towards lower class citizens nothing superior about that other than a white man interviewed black ghetto youths
But were is he
And now he’s missing
This man talking the true reality the same things happing in Jamaica trust me this man really able to explain the issues in more than many top people government etc his explanations are spot on reality
He's able to explain it so clearly because hes in the shit also lol don't be fooled this man is no angel he is as bad as the rest of them
Dis man was in the dragons den...he would know because he lived it...
thats why they arrested him ?
Chris, I love ur wonderful adventures from all over the world. From Kenya living in Washington DC but always Kenyan from Keeio Valley, Salawa Village.
Chris, I'm a Trini living in Vancouver, been an expat in Canada for 65 years, and lived in Ontario, Manitoba, Yukon, Alberta and BC, and traveled thru the USA in the 70-80's and have had many profound experiences. This interview is one of the most profound because it uncovers at least one layer of truth about the dynamics of the gang life.
I pray that this interview will be seen in the future as being the trigger for the eventual total transformation in the hearts of the Gang members in Trinidad, and maybe, even other countries.
Your videos could do miracles for these gang members.
You have shown the world (and mostly people still resident "back home") the HURTING HEARTS of some very peace loving, and peace DESIRING, but also very strong, very loyal, very determined human beings, in one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL countries anywhere on this planet !
Chris, I think the fact that you "were born without fear" allows the Love for your fellow human being to just flow out of you. People trust you and feel safe with you because they feel your love, sincerity and your genuineness.
You really do want to see an end to what seems to us outsiders as senseless violence and murder. And I do also, but I think you know where the REAL change that brings LASTING PEACE has to take place. It has to be in the hearts of the Gang Leaders and Members themselves.
Where hard drugs like coke, crack, heroin, and uppers are involved, it's hard for those involved to talk to the enemy for "peace", it's almost impossible to DECIDE to "give up the life, the cash flow, the girls, the adren-rush of the "cool play" ... for what? An uncertain peace and what looks from that side like a dull, boring life.
It is possible, however. It has happened before in history. It always takes the Strength, Courage, and WILLINGNESS of just one Gang Leader(s) to agree to FORGIVE THAT ONE THING (a betrayal, a theft, a murder) that was done to them, or someone close to them "donkey years ago now"! .
This One Courageous Leader will have found it in his heart to say, "This hatred must stop. WE MUST REMEMBER: WE ARE, AND WE ALWAYS WERE, BROTHERS FIRST OF ALL!"
Chris, your videos are historic and priceless. Trinidad & Tobago owes you a huge debt of gratitude for what you have uncovered and shown the rest of the country and the world. I remember when I still lived in T'dad in the 50's, everyone in the rest of the island was afraid of "The Buntas" (short for ''marabunta"...a hornet indigenous to the tropics with a very bad sting) as the gang "Up in Lavantille" called themselves. .
I don't know about "dem 'Buntas from the 50's up in Lavantille" but everyone you featured from "Up in Lavantille and Belmont" are people who have good hearts and souls. One can feel their honesty and sincere desire for peace, security and a desire for purposeful work!
I believe that PRAYER will help speed the manifestation of the intentions of honest and sincere hearts.
Stay Fearless, Loving and down to Earth, Chris. And may The Lord Jesus Christ, who is obviously leading, protecting and using you as an instrument of His desired reconciliation between peoples, continue to bless you with such true friends and family all over the world, and especially in Trinidad & Tobago.
Officer Alexander, Thank you, Sir, for granting this historic interview. You are a brave man indeed, for I know how vulnerable you and your loved ones must be, but I believe the Lord Jesus is also protecting and guiding you and yours.
You'll see that your interview is part of His Great Plan of Peace for Trinidad & Tobago. May God continue to bless you, Officer Alexander.
he's been Detained by police today. very sad this is happening
Damn who's reading all that
Politicians too must play a great part in helpin make this country a better place to enjoy life. we were once the most peace lovin an welcomin set of people in the world, now look where we are.The nasty an dishonest politics have a lot to do with it too. And that is the God thuth. They must set a better example otherwise we are goin no where but jus gettin worst while they are happy an enjoyin the best.
I was always impressed with Officer Alexander. He knows his stuff. He seems to be down to earth and very approachable but it appears that when he is engaged in his job, he can be a beast, no compromise whatsoever.
yea he seeing everybody wrong but police never wrong he gang perfect
Chris, one of your best videos. Real issues and as Mr. Alexander said, no simple answers. Parents and family members need to be honest with the members of their families involvement with gangs and crimes. Until all involved take responsibility the finger pointing will never stop.
So many Trinidadians living abroad refusing to go home due to the neighborhood gangs and shootings. There needs to be new laws regarding ownership and seizures of guns. No one should be able to walk the streets proudly showing off weapons. The entire legal system needs an overhaul.
So sad to see younger children seeing people dying due to gun violence and normalizing this behaviour.
Opportunities must be created to or the youths and adults to find HOPE. Without Hope what are the aspirations for change.
Well done Chris. Hoping for the best for the people and country
Safe travels.❤❤✌️✌️
It's common knowledge that this guy is one of the most corrupt cops ,seems you're just watching news and have know idea what's really going on.
Alexander is a Capital dunce, and all of you wonder why we cannot solve the crime issue. D stands for dunce
I enjoyed this interview. He was very articulate and informative 😊
Well he's a very high ranking officer. He has to be.

I am glad I saw your video in in RUclips rotation. I left Trinidad in the late 80s any never been back but looking to go back soon. Also watching you walk through the city and passing by vendors that guide you shows you everything and opens up my eyes to see how beautiful my country is really beautiful. Thanks for showing me how my country is god bless you
Chris, you put your heart and soul into Trinidad and Tobago and these interviews. Assuming you haven't already interviewed him, I hope you speak to crime journalist Ian Alleyne. Best of luck in your future travels and God bless. Hope you return to T&T soon...
Ian is not a journalist
Crime journalist? Ian is a clown 😂. He all about fame and clout.
No no no - Ian Alleyne is a swell headed egotistical clown. Do not interview him.
@@boost3d766he love the game and the clout just like the 6 7 8 9 gang members but you can’t deny he has done good things
He has a role to play as well
Chris that was a good interview with Mr Alexander the problems and situations he spoke about we having the same thing in Jamaica everybody blaming government no one taking responsibility for their own actions or inaction
Correct logical thinking are still around leave people countries internal domestic affairs and politics alone find a job
Comrade Alexander. I really like this interview.
You have made a lot of sense.
I agree that this crime problem that we are being faced with can be solved.
We just need the right mechanism in place, to avoid the mindset to go into that direction of crime.
Never believe i would of say this, well done Alexander
Never believe i would of agree to this.
You’re right I agree with his points he makes a lot of sense
I guess that's why they arrested Chris🤷♂️🤷♂️
👏🏾 👍🏾🙏🏾 Your RUclips series on TnT has been an excellent source of information for me in understanding the state of play on the streets and how it has effected the society of my home from home! My parents were from Trinidad but I was born and raised in England but have lived in Sweden since 1987, I had visited Trinidad several times in the early nineties but even back then as tourists, we had to be careful. I then decided that all my future holidays would be in Tobago because the shit that was happening in Trinidad had not spread there! I have stayed in Tobago many times sometimes up to three months at a time over the decades with breaks of several years in between! With every return trip to Tobago, I could see and feel a negative change and attitude from the younger generations coming up! My last trip in Tobago was almost twenty years ago, because on that trip I experienced several uncomfortable situations with gangs on the Island that could have put my family at risk! I LOVE Tobago and have been waiting for things to get better so as to continue my vacations there, however, all my present research has led me to the realisation that I shall just have to live with the fond memories now that Tobago has become just like Trinidad! 😥 🏴🇸🇪🇹🇹
so sad
Truly!😥
Chris as far as I'm concerned YOU do what no one else EVER does! You your content is always interesting and fresh and something other youtubers should do!
So tru. I speake protection and GODS guidance upon his life and family life in JESUS name..
This what I call becarefull how we intertain strangers. It can be angles unaware.
He has a hear of a LION. I see bravery boldness and love in CHRIST.hats off to him.
This cop was very real . I totally agree with him that parenting, school, community, and I will add that the church has a role to play in the prevention of crime and violence. And yes, we have to start with the very young
It takes a community to raise a child, need to get back to simpler times.
Together We Aspire. Together We Achieve.
I was waiting for this interview since the day you mentioned it...... this is the best explained video I've seen of Trinidad so far ...... Alexander isn't just respected but feared all over.
Great interview he’s a good man looking out for his community as a leader and law enforcement
Very valid points and every country, state, are dealing with these issues and like he said your country could be the next! Very true Canada is not far from the way they are experiencing and in some ways it’s already happening!
Thank you Chris. Sorry you had this experience. You are educating me on my own country
Amazing video Chris .. your interview skills are really great for someone who is not a journalist. Well done
The episode I’ve been waiting for! I miss seeing him on tv.
Yeh, it real stale without him and Marlon, they had real unmatched television chemistry. No disrespect to the new host but they are as dull as ah big stone.
Amazing line of questioning and interview overall
Hey! Chris , big up to you and my Hero, a man I look up too officer Alexander. Blessings to you both. Thanks for sharing.
Chris I love how you answered your question. On who is to blame. Most Trinidadians would point to the government. If you didn’t interject. He might of said the same thing. If you go on the ( ministry of Youth development and national service.)You would see how much programs, trade schools, makeshift work programs. You have parents that drop out of schools. These are some of the women and men having kids with each other. The men looking for easy money. The women looking for easy money from these men. So this is the environment that these kids are growing up into. Don’t worry with some of these men. Even if they get jobs. They cannot leave their neighborhoods. Because of their lifestyle. But it’s easy to blame the government. That’s the mindset of a lot of Trinidadians. Citizens in this country. Gets free medical treatment, free medicine, free hospital stay, free education. Up To University. Some pay next to nothing. Subsidized electricity, gas, water. Grants to fix their homes, food cards, community centers in every neighborhood, feeding programs in schools. Things that . NGOs do in other countries. They want the government to do also. They don’t know. The government has billions in loans to pay to lenders . Plus run a country. Not saying government gets free a pass. But the responsibility of raising law abiding kids. Starts at home. Thank you for not buying into all the fluff. I would like viewers. To go on the youth ministry website. And not just go off what is being said in public. It has lawyers, teachers. That came out of some of those ghettos. Their parents push them to be better and want better for themselves.
Well said this generation just don't want to learn nothing they rather get into a life of crime to get easy money
May God protect you bro Chris Must List in Jesus mighty name amen 🙏🏾
❤ Chris you are on one heck of an adventure! Love watching your videos 😊❤
I have
Government and system needs to change definitely
young people seeing the riches that exist in the country, lack of REAL opportunity to access that riches & the inequality & saying why play by the rules that wont get them athose riches when the leaders are not ,
@@BuzzChroniclesalso young people must understand how hard others work to get things no one is entitled to wealth flowing in the country but you must seek opportunities and exploit through entrepreneurship. Not because one doesn’t have entitles them to harass others who worked 16 hrs days to get theirs
Inequality is a global issue not on in T&T Can't change
As long as the drug trade remains lucrative, it will be difficult to bring the crime rate under control.
Around minute 14 and on is a VERY important point that is super complicated, also you asked some great questions, bravo to your purpose Chris
Great Conversation Video Chris, much appreciated 👍
This is the only Police I think in Trinidad who understands the streets
9:00 what you saying here is true chris This is the first generations of real criminals in T&T 20 years ago none of this existed & murders didn't cross 75 you are the first person to raise this
The gangster lifestyle is not indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago. In the early 90s, the US govt deported criminals back to Trinidad. Our govt was not advised apparently and these men recreated the gangs they belonged to in the US here. The gangs in the US are tied into their music industry they came here and replicated that. They also came from Jamaica.
Bro is a damn good talker, his points are valid.
Another great video Chris miss the premire but watching now🙏❤️

Excellent and top notch interview Chris. I'm not a fan of the police but I've found a respect for this here officer.
I enjoy this interview and the information that I gather from it
Alexander has a show, that is why he is the most popular.
Sweet Trinidad and Tobago, ...hope we get back the sweetness great ppl still live here
Very easy to see why there's so much blood by the examples of leadership we have.
The effects of colonialism still exist. This man went to Trinidad as a visitor with the intention of making money. That's a business trip. He was robbing the country and its people of taxes. Also, he's a liar. He was arrested and deported from Somalia for disrespecting their culture.
Robbing of taxes how??.... I saw in comments on another video that something happened in Somalia, but I don't know what and I only heard of this guy few days ago.
@antoniotula262 If you are to enter a country for financial gains, that's a business trip. You pay taxes on your gains. Just as the local do.
In Somalia, he was arrested and deported for treating poor and homeless people with disrespect. He was throwing money at them like he was feeding chickens. That did not go down too well with the locals.
Great Interview i wish you asked him if national service should be introduced Into Trinidad
National service is fine for immediate relief, but is it a viable long term mea? To answer my own question, a lot would depend on the goals and structure of national service.
A good interview, you are doing a great job Mr. Chris.
You might have well just applied fie your Trinidad citizenship! 😆 🤣
Good job Chris! Whenever you're ready to do a video on Southern hospitality and the way we "lime" ... hit me up!

I totally agree with Alexander when he say d solution could well be more carnival activities
More activities but not Carnival activities.
That is a variation on paying people to play basketball in order to prevent crime.
Have the creative and performing arts been explored? There are a variety of avenues to explore.

Blessed good night Boss, Mr. Chris. Great interview with the gangs and the top cop of Trinidad and Tobago. He is right, it have no work for some of people here.
Chris good job as always
Trinidad and Tobago, indeed, faces significant challenges with crime despite being a relatively small country. Crime rates, particularly those related to violent crimes like homicides and robberies, have been a concern for quite some time. Factors contributing to this situation include socio-economic disparities, drug trafficking, gang activity, and ineffective law enforcement strategies. While Trinidad and Tobago boasts a rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, addressing crime remains a critical issue for the well-being and prosperity of its people. Efforts to combat crime often involve a combination of law enforcement measures, community engagement, and socio-economic development initiatives.
Thank you for your services.in all that you do as a police officer.we are a set of ungrateful people.lawless just take care of yourself in Jesus name amen.❤❤❤
