My son knows more about sex than any teenager I have ever met, I’ve been a very educational mama, and it’s working that’s for sure. I don’t really like how older parents are about sex. I explain it all and answer any question, lots about consent. I’d love to educate younger people about sex!

If you're too-focused on your sex-ed content being "wholesome" instead of "accurate", you're probably too young to consider sexual activity....

I believe that you can be wholesome and accurate, I realise now the wording might have looked a bit odd but the personality behind the educational content I found to be very wholesome and inclusive (as @kathryn Hope-tindall mentioned in this comment thread) which often will engage further learning
also I found wholesomeness in the video sign off “be kind to yourself, to each other, to me and in the comments be kind”
I once saw a great protest sign that said "equal rights for others doesn't mean less rights for you. It's not pie!"
You cannot legislate "equality of outcome". There is only "equality of opportunity". If you don't know the difference, please stop carrying signs, you just look stupid.
Yeah, sometimes tiktok will take down video if certain language or images are shown which is understandable but then it limits groups like lgbt+ people, people of colour, and educational tiktokers (a.k.a the doctors, the pyschologists, the sex educators of tiktok etc.) from educating about sensitive subjects on the platform. I've seen many black tiktokers have their videos taken down for mentioning the word 'slavery' when making educational content (on the other hand, the huge rise in racist tiktoks using even more sensitive and graphic images don't seem to get taken down nearly as quickly...)
I have no experience of tiktok so don't know what actually goes on there. But having looked into its ownership I don't find this surprising.
Although it's really cool that people are finding creative ways to get around the censorship.
Could also because Tiktok is Chinese platform? So it goes by their regulations?

TikTok definitely monitors the content in some way. I don't create, so I've no experience with it, but there are people who have said that TikTok deletes content featuring certain words.
And if you want the For You page with videos that suit you: search for hashtags, scroll through accounts that create content that you like and make sure to like/follow if you do enjoy it.
I'm really stuck to find hashtags for sexual education... As Hannah said. Do you have any suggestions?

tiktok does take down videos that contain like banned words. these could be swearwords etc so people usually don’t say it or use symbols to replace letters

@@mat4902 haha I'm 20 too, and born in 99 so basically we're on the edge!!😂 And I can confirm the statement that it's mainly 2000s babies cause I don't have any friends who are older than me that use it, but I have a couple of friends who are slightly younger (so born in 2000) that do!

I'm honoured to be in this!! Its very hard having to censor myself and get information across at the same time, but its such a good medium for reaching such an important group of young people and others seeking information!

Could you do an investigation video about tiktok banning lgbt content, I have seen a lot of people mentioning their videos are being taken down that had a very PG same sex kiss.... they seem worse than youtube with the policing
I’ve heard a bit about this but it’s not for me to do an investigation into it as I do not have enough knowledge of the platform or it’s content. But I have seen some news articles about it so worth having a look at people who are talking about it.

About UTIs:

I had a really bad UTI a couple months ago and I got bad backpain. Took two weeks and antibiotics to be rid.
General UTI Tips (check with docs)
- cranberry juice
- salts for cystitis (life saver, I hated the flavour so I mixed it with red squash)
-pee whenever you need to. Every single time. Do not hold it.
- drink water. Lots of water. All the water possible. Every waking moment.
i'm 16 and i don't have tiktok, not because I think it's cringy but because, like you said, I hate the feeling of being pulled into something and wasting HOURS on it. I already have enough apps that do that.
This week: "You *can't* persuade me to start making tiktok videos"
Next week: "I made my first and last tiktok video"
In two weeks: "Follow me on tiktok!"
In three weeks: "I'm tiktok famous!"
In four months: "I'm sorry I've been away. Here are some of the new dances I learned" (an hour long tiktok dance compilation)

I thought I won't appear on TikTok. Than someone shared a part of one of my RUclips videos on his/her TikTok channel and it got viral in Hungary: 1,3M views in 3 days. So I did start a channel suddenly and now I'm trying to figure out what strategies to use.
I don't know if this is a general rule, but there are very strict rules and guidelines in my NHS Trust about what we can say on social media so that might be why there's less UK doctors on there.
I'm part of the TikTok kinkster community as well and there are a LOT of issues within content creation. Trigger words like what Pixie was leaving out could take it down. Even if you are within their community guidelines for educational sex ed, they will still shadow ban or remove your content. I was doing a Q&A on my livestream and someone reported it for sexual content and I was banned from livestreaming again. It's a lot of trial and error and reposting edited videos. The best part is, a lot of us on there communicate with one another and built this community where we can interact with one another to give various perspectives based on our own experiences (it was pixie that shared this video with me!)! It really is just for the benefit of people who did not get good sex ed or are curious about kink!

Im sure Tik Tok don't actually look at the reports and just take stuff down without actually confirming whether or not it violates their guidelines...

So, yeah not really bullshit but be careful when they say "I have no pain tolerance". Sometimes there's other things hidden behind that statement. Like a rare condition they didn't know they have.

Three: question the effectiveness on this Tik-Toc thing. I gather it’s really short clips which isn’t the best way to get into certain topics. Then again this is me speaking from a position of limited knowledge of the platform.

am a big user of tiktok, and its kind of an unwritten rule that saying ANYTHING related to sex, even just speaking about human body parts will be either taken down or not on the fyp. thats why, when looking at the squirting video, she used currency symbols, numbers etc as even simply writing the word on the screen could remove your tiktok. its crazy, especially as majority videos discussing this are educational
i know that its such a littel thing but the way that hannah dosent say he/him or she/her and says thet/them makes me so so happy and it made my day so much better
I started with TikTok because it became more relevant for work, so I purposefully didn't like ANYTHING to try to keep the algorithm from knowing me too well (so I could get general content), but it still managed to figure me out really quickly, which I knew when suddenly my foryou page had more people my age (and Harry Potter, and D&D)

Tbh I don‘t agree with the statement „Men aren‘t losing anything by women getting equal rights“ -I know what she probably wanted to communicate but I still don‘t think it‘s factual the way she worded it. Every privileged group loses something as we get closer to equality: power, status, said privilege itself. Why does she think most privileged groups are fighting equality (a majority of it at least) if there was nothing to lose for them?
I agree with this 100%. White's lost "free" workforce when slavery was abolished. Men lost "free" domestic workforce when women got into the paid workforce. (Not that these two are at all the same, but two different struggles). Men lost half the power over politics that they used to have, when women we're able to vote. If women earn more, and take higher positions in jobs, or get into higher education where a man would usually fill that position before women could get in, then that spot, or that money, is lost. That isn't a bad thing. Just like white's "losing their slaves" wasn't a bad thing. But it IS a loss. It seems counterproductive to the cause to state differently.

#1 reason I do not work: when i was working full time 45 hours per week, i had no time to properly do my own thing... by the end of 6 months of work, i was a mess... tried to get back into it regularly and it just hurt a lot.
I work in a pharmacy and we do UTI tests and can give antibiotics (a lot of people don't know we do it). But if someone has back pain with a UTI we can't give treatment and they have to go to the doctor because it can be a sign that the infection is more advance than the antibiotics we give can treat

@Nicole we do a dip test from a urine sample. It's pretty cool
I live in the UK so I'm not sure if it's the same for everywhere. But we do the test for free, just show up with a pot of wee and we will test it and prescribe antibiotics so no need to go to the doctors. It should clear up within 3 days but if it doesn't we normally just tell people to give us a little phone call or try and get a doctor to phone you. Really simple. No waiting for a doctors appointment.
Also not every Where is trained to do the test so just make sure before going to your pharmacy (you should be able to find it online)

I've learned more on TikTok than I have in schools. Where I live, talking about lgbt health or history is illegal in schools. So, obviously it isn't discussed how to still use protection against stis in a lesbian relationship or something like that. As a gay girl in highschool, all I've ever learned in my health class is how straight protection and sex works. Not very helpful.

As someone on tiktok, the rules are quite vague and the system of judging what gets popular doesn’t always make sense. It makes me suspect they either have humans or some really good AI shit monitoring and judging uploaded videos because things that seem like they would be popular tend to do get more views even if there are less than average likes or interactions.

I always worry when someone just joins Tik Tok especially this late in the game because their fyp is 100% not going to be curated to them and they're going to get this content and think " this is seriously what you are all watching " but you gotta let it work its magic.

Half of me loves thos side of tiktok cos it's so great and informative and is a topic that we shouldn't shield away from but at the same time you have to know that its unsuitable for younger users (the main demographic) and so I think tiktok should make more rules and guidelines surrounding who can view what content
The only reason I downloaded tik tok was because my friends would want to send me videos. I didn't really like the app much at first but I've discovered my favorite videos are just cute videos of babies haha

Okay, so for me, I've never fully jumped on board social media immediately and it's just because the platforms I'm using still are fun/work for me i.e., I never got into Snap because it was like stalker Instagram to me and that was when I was the demographic that "was supposed" to early adopt a fad. I'm all for people having fun, but I don't think app usage should denote "old"/"young". Idk, maybe I'm just plain weird haha!

You talked about being called a boomer! I was “okay boomer’d’ (I’ve never felt older, and I was born in 1991. He ended up being absolutely vile and had to be blocked, said some very not okay abusive things. These young lads are a bit mean, I hope I’m doing well with my own son and him not being gross to humans.
