Hey everyone! Thanks for coming by. What's your all time favorite batch of ECBP? Remember to visit www.thewhiskeydictionary.com to check out my merch and social media accounts!
Hey Bill, what song is “referenced” in first part of this video? I can’t quite place it. Like you I keep trying to find ECBP especially B519, no luck yet

This is my favorite still
Picked up a private barrel -barrel proof today. Enjoying it tonight. Spot on!!
ECBP is easily one of my favorite Barrel Proofs. Great price for what you get and just an all around phenomenal experience!
I'm definitely a big fan of ECBP. This one is a really good batch, and, as you said at the end, every batch of ECBP I've had has been, at the least, good.
That's a cool perspective considering this is the lowest proof
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary While, generally speaking, I'm a fan of higher proof, but once you get past 60% you're getting into the territory where the exact ABV stops mattering, really. It's like asking what's worse, -40F in a dead calm, or -20F with some wind? Either way, it's damned cold. In the case of a good Whiskey, once you're past 60 or so, the exact strength isn't something I worry about, it's the overall profile that matters.
The B519 was the first ECBP that I have bought. Just bought the C919 this week. Love the B519. Saving the C919 for a special night.
Absolutely love this bourbon. I highly suggest picking this up
Have only been able to get my hands on ECBP B519 and ... man! It has been a great experience enjoying this whisky ... it is something that you can take your time with - I can easily spend half hour or more with one dram - it has so much flavor and the finish just goes on and on!
Boy I wish a dram would take me that long to finish!
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary lol I just nursed one thru the least 3 quarters of the super bowl
Like or Dislike: Like. The music mixing is flawless this time -- and outstanding video.
Thanks man! I keep trying to dial in my broll it's fun:)
Out of 3 batches this one is my favorite. I definitely feel like the lower proof does it some favors. Same richness but less burn to work through.
You know you can add a few drops of water, and you're actually missing out if you don't when drinking cask strength whiskies.
I like how informative this video is! Thanks!
If they start at the same ABV as a new make (wich I don't know, maybe each batch exits the still at a different ABV), you have the batch that had the most interaction with the wood, as the barrels from that batch gave more to the angels, it should have a major influence from the barrel than any other batch
Just picked up a C919, and WOW. Punches you in the throat for sure but what an incredible bourbon.
I got some floral on the nose, anyone else? This and the C918 are the only ECBP I've had so far so I am looking forward to the 2020 releases.
Nice review. My favorite of the 3 batches for sure. A buy for sure At 70$ all day. At what price would you pass. 80? 90?
80 for sure. Mostly out of principal
Just got exact same B519 for 85€. Quite expensive for a bourbon. Anyway, do I love it? Not really. It's like slightly less sweet WT101 for me. I tried water, but then it completely lost the pallet. So neat 61.1% ABV it is )))
It's still good tho to take a shot from time to time in between different whiskeys. So that bottle will last long in my bar 8)
I often hear you talk about how you enjoy high ABV whiskey. What is it you like about high ABV?
The alcohol burn is normally what turns me off from a whiskey or a bourbon. This makes me wonder.... am I drinking my whiskey "wrong"?
I know there are methods, like adding a dash of water or an ice cube, but I'd like to be able to enjoy a glass of bourbon neat.
Thoughts?
Long story short is that high ABV is a better representation of what's in the barrel.
Just finishing my first bottle of B520 and man it’s hot! Not like my scotch!
Thanks for the review Bill. I have forgotten I have ECBP C917 @131 proof. I am fighting a light cold but as soon as I am over this, I will busting open the bottle. Cheers
Whiskey
Whiskey is great for a cold
@@danielmann5427 I hear that!
Always a job well done, man.
Thank you!
Hi.... Here in Belgium it's very difficult to find ECBP.... I ask my seller to look for this one after tasting the EC94 proof (this one is easy to get here!). But he told me that ECBP is very hard to find....Now after waiting almost 6 months, it was possible to get a bottle ECBP b519...
So I'm very curious for this one, and I'm just waiting for the right moment to uncork the bottle with a good friend.
After watching your review, I think that day will come very soon... 😉🥃
Sounds like it'll be great for a number of reasons. Enjoy!
I have A119 at 135.2 proof. Haven't opened it yet but looking forward to trying it.
I hope you love it
Thanks for the review. Gonna keep my eyes open for it. Now I want to see your collection!
Yea? I always like doing bar tours
Andrew T I paid $90 for A117. Didn’t know any better at the time but even given how difficult it is to find this batch at this point, it was still worth it imo
Got 2 bottles of this deliciousness (and a C919)
Nice Bill-interesting review 🥃
I like the B519 but C919 is measurably better. Hope you get to try it if you haven’t already
Damn. I passed a bottle of that up the other day
Great video Bill!
You have a little present coming in the mail :)
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary Thanks I am excited for my challenge coin :)
Nice review wish i could find one !
I’ve been enjoying ECBP A119 which is 135.2 proof
Jealous. I never saw that one in the wild
good review, I need to revisit by bottle.
Funny, a liquor store that is a 4 minute walk from my house has the C918 for $70. He didn't know what the "C918" meant so I explained it to him.
when it rains i pour my wallet dry
How much is this where everyone reading this is? This is on sale for $25 750ml right now where I live, would you recommend this or getting a bottle that's usually $65 750ml Bower Hill 10yr Single Barrel that's only $16?!? I could get 2x of the Bower Hills. Btw I cant get both i only have $30...:(
It depends on what you’re feeling. I have not had the Bower Hill 10yr
$57 in south Louisiana! Damn buy a few!
I can't find this anywhere in my area. I'm dying to try it one of these days.
Where Are you? It's pretty common in most places
The liquor store I just started managing has like 10 bottles of b519 on sale for $55 lol
You should pick one up
Good stuff 👍😎🥃
Why are you putting a lid on your glass.
Music?
What's pupcorn? Haha my girlfriend's family is from Massachusetts and they all emphasize the U in pupcorn
Hah! Listen when I say "Orange". "Arrrange"
So did you buy all 7 bottles??
If I were a casual whiskey drinker it would have been tempting
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary Sounds like that was a yes! Bill, you cannot accuse yourself a casual whiskey drinker.
