    Your papalo looks awesome. I've been growing it (i am from Puebla MX).
    1.Papalo is a BIG plant. You are not allowing the plant to grow to its potential. It can grow up to 3.5ft. it will also give you bigger leaves. But it needs a bit more space. I still absolutely love how you have your set up. Thank you for sharing your video!

      Hi, I have been growing it for years. I grow it in several places in my garden. It does get big and beautiful. I grow it in raised beds, planters, pots and these 5 gallon pots.

    Thank you for the video. I’ve not grown them before and wondered if the roots fill up the bucket? I want to plant this spring/summer and I wondered what size container to use. I’m in 8a and it gets super hot here too. I bought as a cilantro substitute and I thank you for telling us the real flavor. I’m still excited to try it 😊

    • @ltlbnsgarden
      @ltlbnsgarden  3 года назад +1

      So glad you are planting it, it is a very unique herb. And yes the flavor is an acquired taste, but I am confident you will love it. The roots are not too thick or deep. They probably go down to less than half on the bucket. The most important thing for them is the sun exposure. They love the sun 😊

    Hello, I got a papalo plant in a plant swap last year. I transplanted it into my raised herb garden, in full sun - raised bed soil and manure was the soil mix, other than that, I didn’t add any fertilizer. It was more like a tree than your plants - just that one plant kept us in fresh papalo leaves all summer long and well into the fall, and I dried the leaves when the weather got too cool for it, and got almost 4 cups of dried leaf flakes. When it went to seed, I saved some of the seeds. I’m getting ready to plant them and came here for advice on that. Thank you for the great information.

    This is my first time planting papalo and kind of want to know if it's a plant that has a long germinating time or a short one?

    • @ltlbnsgarden
      @ltlbnsgarden  3 года назад

      It is short germination. They usually only take 3-5 days 😊

      @@ltlbnsgarden i think I'm doing something wrong,I planted the papalo seeds like 4 days ago and still don't see the seeds sprouting,I added a very thin layer of soil mix on top of it and watered it and that pretty much it,if you know what I'm doing wrong can you help me

    • @ltlbnsgarden
      @ltlbnsgarden  3 года назад

      @@pedrocaballero5211 no worries it can take longer to germinate if temps are cold 🥶 or too hot 🥵, what average temperatures do you have right now where you live? Did you plant enough seeds? , because it is a low germinating seed, you need to add extra seeds to your pot. Has it rained a lot where you are? Maybe the rain drowned the seed? Hope this helps narrow down the issue 😀

    • @pedrocaballero5211
      @pedrocaballero5211 3 года назад

      @@ltlbnsgarden the averages temperature where I live is at 90 faraheight,I have planted atleast 30 seeds and it hasn't rain.i gotta ask can too little water or too much water stop the seeds from germinating?

    • @ltlbnsgarden
      @ltlbnsgarden  3 года назад

      @@pedrocaballero5211 yes it can, too little water will not allow it sprout, too much ch will rot them. I say give them more time, they might be just slow. But if after 2 weeks you don’t see anything, I suggest to replant 😊
