Someone told me once “the best kind of exercise is the one you’ll do” and I’ve stuck to that philosophy! Our fitness goals and preferences change over time and that’s okay! The important thing is to be consistent with some kind of intentional movement 🙂
Sarah the Expat I love this because I hate working out but I love dancing so I’ve been dancing for an hour everyday! Hopefully soon I’ll be able to add in more work outs 😊
I think the saying "Just because the person next to you is in a full body cast, doesn't mean your broken arm doesn't hurt." Is a good one to remember right now in the world. It goes the same for emotions, you can still be sad you aren't with family when other people have struggles their facing that may seem "larger" than your own. All the love Sierra, thank you for these videos. ~From a viewer in NYC. 💙
This is so much more inclusive than "Curvy Crew" and I love it! Also, you need merch that says 'yeshterday' 😂 no hate at ALL, just love that you say it that way
Sierra, I wouldn't stress about preferring to run/walk over home workouts. You may not realize it, but sounds to me like you have the run bug, and you should just roll with it! Never feel bad about leaning towards the exercise that you enjoy the most. In fact, I think it's good to develop a preference/passion for one thing because that's what makes you excited to keep going! I've gotten into running/walking recently and it has led me towards achieving some things that once felt out of reach to me. Also, you can record your miles on a smart watch, then upload it to strava to keep track of your progress (like instagram but for runners/cyclists)
I know that I *will not* work out unless I leave the house. I run for the fresh air, for the accomplishment of putting miles behind me, and the stretching of those muscle groups. I can never motivate myself to do the types of workouts that require a screen and instruction. I'll just turn on a TV show instead 😂
I am currently on a weight loss journey and its really hard. Frankly my doctor told me I had to loose 15lbs. Its okay to want to lose weight especially if its for health reasons. But also its okay if you just want to treat your body better and it has nothing to do with weight loss. We only live once so we should do things that make us happy and healthy.
@@sarahdemarrero3520 Thanks Im already 8 pounds down and 7 more to go! Im not obsessed with on the number on the scale but instead continuing to workout regularly and eat healthy which has been really helping🥰
As an aspiring veggie, I’d love a more in depth video on the sorts of meals you have in a week, breakfast, lunch, dinner. get some inspiration for some new and different vegetarian meals to try out!
I'm not a vegetarian but love cooking videos. I find it interesting how other people cook something I may cook in a different way. Plus her recipes always look good.
I did a paper in university about how during WWII when the British used “Keep Calm, Carry On” to keep the morale of Brits up during The Blitz, it encouraged people from being open about their mental health. There was a lot of recorded cases of stomach ulcers, undiagnosed mental illness, etc. What I’m saying is that we need to be allowed to be open about our emotions and how we feel about the current state of the world, but also do our best to stay positive and keep life as normal as possible.
You should do a letting my followers control my online shopping on your main channel!! Also I love your channel and you help me feel so much more confident about myself!💖
Sierra, Someone once told me that comparing yourself to anyone, whether they are struggling more than you or succeeding more than you. Being grateful for what you have isn't being selfish. Forgetting people who are suffering and pretending they don't exist isn't right either.
Okay, the Big Comfy Couch reference literally made me cackle and my husband was terrified for a hot second 😂 I absolutley loved that show and I don't know many people who know what the heck it is 😂
Sierra, your vlogs are literally the highlight of my day. You and Stephen are both so lovely. I love your sense of humour. I love your dog content. I love how casually you talk to the camera because it literally feels like a friend telling me about their day. Thanks so much for the vlogs!
Finding a way to exercise you genuinely enjoy is crucial. When I started university I was in such a fitness slump until I found pole dancing and it has seriously been a game changer for my physical and mental health! (not to mention a big help in my body confidence)!
Josette Souza in my opinion, the first season is my least favorite, but especially about the first half of it. My friend made me watch through the first season and now that I’ve watched all of it, it is one of my favorite shows
I love the Confident & Kind Facebook page! When it launched, I was gushing over it to my husband. It’s full of such amazing and body positive people. Thanks for having a safe place for us to talk!

@@anibunny176 Any new Facebook group will have that happen. Now that Sierra has made the post describing what she would like to see and some rules, it should get better. As long as everyone realizes that this group is for ALL self love (not just larger sized bodies, as some people claim that the group is for) and that it is 100% okay to want to eat healthy and exercise without being labeled as "fatphobic", then the group should be a wonderful space to be!
I appreciate you working with your dogs’ barking so much! So many parents of small dogs just ignore their dog’s barking or laugh when they lunge and bark at another dog or person because they’re so small and couldn’t do any harm. But if a medium or large dog did that, they would be livid. It annoying how many people don’t train their little dogs because they’re “harmless”. My dog is medium sized but scared of other dogs, so even when it’s a small dog barking at her, it makes her nervous.

I'm so happy to be part of the Facebook group! I have never felt more encouraged and loved than when I joined! Thankful for the entire Shultzzie team for putting this together
I think that is my biggest hump to get over as well when it comes to working out - the mental "what if I can't finish it". In February I decided just to go to the gym, I didn't put any expectations on me working out but just to show up and see the place, happy to say I've been working out 3-4 times a week since then and even purchased a home program to follow during this time! I wanted to have a relationship with working out that I didn't beat myself up if I didn't want to one day but also felt proud when I did, its been a cool journey and I hope you the same whenever that day comes :)
From big comfy couch I only remember the part where she stretched on the floor on a clock rug pointing to the times with her arms & legs 😂 Also I love seeing how extremely intentionally kind & caring you & Stephen are to each not only through your actions like in other relationships but with your words & consideration of each other
The "being ready, but not being ready" phenomenon is so common - good for you for recognizing that its happening! I'm a trainer and so many potential clients I talk to sit on that cusp of feeling like they want to start "doing more" (which cam mean a whole host of different things to different people!) but aren't quite there yet. I would say that "readiness" is the most important precursor to starting a new exercise routine (or starting anything new, really!) or bulking up the one you have. If you're not quite there yet, there is no shame in continuing with what you already know you enjoy! I love the 2 questions: "what do I want my body to do?" and "what aches and pains would I like to try to get rid of?" - they're really helpful in zeroing in on specific function goals which *really* helps when you're looking through the thousands of fun workout options and trying to pick which one you'd like to try (even when I'm refreshing my own workouts, the sheer volume of interesting options is really overwhelming). I think you're doing a great job and I really love how open and transparent you are about your journey and mindset. And it was SO delightful to see your cameo in The Sorry Girls video today! :D
I’m loving the FB group, it’s such a positive space and a great way to connect with people for support! I’ve already met so many great people in the group and joined a Instagram and SC group chat with lots of lovely girls! 💕💕
I just want to tell you you look probably more radiant and beautiful than I’ve ever seen you when you’re talking about the launch/when the launch happens. The joy radiating from your eyes is breathtaking. So proud of you!
Don't stress about being happy. Your happiness and positivity is so inspiring, especially for those struggling to find it. You're certainly being a role model for others. ♥️
Sierra, i’m so excited for this rebrand!! i’ve always wanted your merch, but i’m not exactly “curvy” so i never bought any. butttt, i will definitely be looking forward to Confident & Kind merch!
Thank so so much to the both of you for blogging so much. Honestly these daily videos from your family has become one of the highlights of my day and has helped me so much more motivate about self care and productivity.
Congrats on the rebrand!! Also thanks for being so real about your confidence journey. I'm feeling the same way where each step in my health journey is another mental battle. It's nice to not feel alone. We got this!!!
Your skin looks amazing! Also, at 4:39 I laughed so hard with Jess reaction, that’s a pretty good summary of what is like to work from home with kids/dogs/partners! 😂😂😂
The Office is one of the best shows of all time. I have the “once i get into something i go all in” gene and I can quote most episode now... i started last year! you’ll love it!!!!
Love that you’re posting more! ❤️ I’ve been trying to work out more as well & have a lot of these same fears. You give me the push I need every time you post! Thank you
Sierra and Stephen your vlogs are great. Been binge watching them as only discovered the vlog channel a couple of weeks ago. So relaxing for me after a shift (I’m a mental health nurse in the uk) x
Sierra!! You are such a light of positivity during a time when we especially need some sunshine! It's okay to share negative feelings, as that is a part of human nature. If you only think you shouldn't be upset or positive because of others who have it worse than you, you will never be happy and constantly suppressing human emotions. We are all struggling in one way or another, and that is okay as long as it doesn't consume us. Congrats on the rebrand and keep on smiling!!
I went through multiple of the Instagram threads in the group and tried to follow as many people as I could. There are so many wonderful women in this group ❤
Don't worry about feeling down about missing out on things. Just because someone isn't as privileged as you are, doesn't mean your problems aren't valid. I didn't lose my job and I'm not having to live alone during quarantine, but that doesn't mean I can't be sad that my college graduation was cancelled. Everyone's realities are different, and you can live in yours without feeling bad about it ! Love you💕
Yes "Big Comfy Couch" memories! Also, thanks for sharing the advice from your dog trainer. Yelling at a dog to stop barking is like yelling at a human to stop panicking. My dog had a lot of anxiety after we adopted her at 12 weeks old and I found that responding to her whining with a soothing "ssshhhh" and a cuddle was very effective. A couple years later I tried it on my sister's manic chihuahua-mix and it worked with her, too!
I'm so happy that you left the clip in of you talking about how you are upset you won't be able to spend Easter with your family. I'm also so happy you talked about your feelings on that afterwards. This time is definitely scary for a lot of people in so many different ways. It's hard to feel sad about not being able to see your family or a concert being cancelled/postponed because there are so many people who are very sick and/or losing family members and loved ones to the corona virus. However, to some people, not being able to see their families or cancelled events is a big deal to them and you shouldn't feel bad about feeling that way. :) Btw I LOVE your videos, watching your confidence and body positivity journey has been so helpful.
Sierra, I also have workout issues, I don't walk and run (you can be so proud of yourself for doing that), but I try to do cardio from home as it rains almost everyday (I live in Wales) and what I love about the RUclips channel that I follow is that the cardio can be done from home and it is all standing, no jumping around etc. So do what works for you so that you want to continue with your daily exercises. Don't ever worry about feeling happy and how others would think of you for being so, haters will hate, but being happy is a choice as well and I think we all can benefit from being around someone who is happy in this time, we are all in this together.
A ten second tidy!!! I’ve been trying to find a way to make clean up less stressful and frustrating on me and the kids and this is such a great idea it gets them helping but in a fun less stressful way. Yay!
First! Okay Sierra I was late to the last podcast but I am so excited for the survivor RUclipsr thing I HAVE TO know why Alisha Marie voted Remi Ashton off the island!!!!
does she host the RUclips survivor thing bc I don't listen to the podcast (I will starting today tho), and I have no clue what you are talking about lol
Charlotte Doellefeld she and skylar were talking about fun things to do on the podcast, and they were talking about doing a survivor simulator with RUclipsrs, and an example of what they would do to add on to the simulator, was alisha kicking remi off the island (⬅️the base), because she copied her video idea (⬅️the addition)
I can never wait for you to upload videos! I love them all! I go back and rewatch your old videos. Crazy how long I’ve been watching your channel! Love you!
I feel like confident and kind is a good direction for a more body positive way! I feel like sometimes body positivity is centered around people that are on the bigger side even though body positivity is sooo important so for everyone of all sizes!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being sad or disappointed about your situation. I am a believer as well and being with family and your church family, I have been struggling with it as well, my wedding in June is potentially not happening and I’m having mixed feelings about the biggest day of our lives, but I up to this point. No feelings are invalid! :D You truly are in inspiration to others and it’s so special when I feel validated about my feelings!
Hi Sierra ! Congratulations on your progress for your workouts ! I also have to say that thanks to you and your bodyboss video, i'm starting bodyboss and i really hope that it will help me as much as it helps you in the past ! You are amazing !
Also please remember that your feelings are your own! They do not mean that you’re any less respectful for others feelings who are going through a harder time through this! This channel is YOUR real life. And your feelings are valid too 🥰
Super proud of how far you've come! I think it's been about a year since I started following you and you've become one of my favorite body positive individuals 😊 I totally feel what you mean about being wary to get back to working out. I've always been bad at it but since quarantine my friend and I are holding each other accountable to following April's blogilates calendar and I'm quite proud of keeping up with it! You just need baby steps!
Girl, I've been feeling the same way about getting back into running. I've been doing home workouts a ton but I've just recently been healing from an injury. I totally understand the being scared about not being able to keep up...I run XC in high school and I'm terrified that if I try running I'll be "too slow"

Yay! I love the Facebook group! I’m part of it, and from my experience thus far, people are so kind and nice
Bella playing the part of motivational coach and breaking into a run! Loved watching this today. You guys are awesome.
Thank you so much for the FB community! I am loving it!
you helped me love my body with all your confidence! you’re amazing girl!
I always do a nice long stretch whilst watching your vlogs! It is so relaxing so thank you so much for your bubbly vibes🥰🥰
I’m loving the FB group, it’s such a positive space and a great way to connect with people for support! I’ve already met so many great people in the group and joined a Instagram and SC group chat with lots of lovely girls! 💕💕
YO THE 10 SECOND TIDY WAS NO JOKE
I loved the big comfy couch! Such a great show! I also do the 10 second tidy thing. Lol. Congratulations on the launch!
I'm from Spain and your blogs always get uploaded when I'm about to go to bed, it's like the perfect way to end the day!!
Yes! I loved the Big Comfy Couch!! We did the 10 second tidy as kids!
Love that you’re posting more! ❤️ I’ve been trying to work out more as well & have a lot of these same fears. You give me the push I need every time you post! Thank you
Girl I seriously am loving your vlogs. Feels like a whole new special side to you! Grateful for you Girl!
So cute that when Bella ran, you were like... okay! Like two little besties encouraging each other. Love!
Love you💕
Both of your channels are literally so beautiful. Thank you for helping me love myself❤️
Don't ever worry about feeling happy and how others would think of you for being so, haters will hate, but being happy is a choice as well and I think we all can benefit from being around someone who is happy in this time, we are all in this together.
i’m so thankful for y’all making the facebook group. i’ve made friends with several amazing ladies. we all love you, and you look so happy!!💗
Idk why but the neon green "Jacuzzi" popping up over the "spa" killed me! I laughed way too hard!
Big Comfy Couch is my FAV!! Loved the clock stretch on the rug!!
A ten second tidy!!! I’ve been trying to find a way to make clean up less stressful and frustrating on me and the kids and this is such a great idea it gets them helping but in a fun less stressful way. Yay!
Confident and Kind is 1000% the main reason I'm back on Facebook; I've completely fallen in love with the group. So thank you
Lol i don’t know exactly how to explain it but she talked about it in the last podcast with skylar! Subscribe at Sierra Unfiltered!! lol
Love you!
Omg I loved he Big Comfy Couch !! Also right now there is no right way to feel with all this happening ! Love ur videos !
I feel like confident and kind is a good direction for a more body positive way! I feel like sometimes body positivity is centered around people that are on the bigger side even though body positivity is sooo important so for everyone of all sizes!
I loved the ten second tidy!! I also remember the clock stretch!
I love the rebrand!!! I’m so excited for everything! I just really wish I had Facebook, the group sounds amazing
Be happy, be sad. Be anything you feel right now. We are ALL in the same boat. But be extra thankful for any joyful feelings. That’s my advice 🙂
These longer vlogs are awesome!
I think it's been about a year since I started following you and you've become one of my favorite body positive individuals 😊
I totally feel what you mean about being wary to get back to working out. I've always been bad at it but since quarantine my friend and I are holding each other accountable to following April's blogilates calendar and I'm quite proud of keeping up with it! You just need baby steps!
OMG The Big Comfy Couch !!! The ten second tidy was my childhood. I thought my mom was the only one who said that!
Girl, I've been feeling the same way about getting back into running. I've been doing home workouts a ton but I've just recently been healing from an injury. I totally understand the being scared about not being able to keep up...I run XC in high school and I'm terrified that if I try running I'll be "too slow"
Blessing us with a 33 min vlog?! THANK YOUUUUU 🙏🏼
