@@Kaasbaas1234nice. I just got mine yesterday, going to prime him this afternoon. Little bit of a weird way to start a 1k sons army but I wanted something weird and a break from painting my black Templars
It's just so satisfying to watch models getting painted by such an accurate, steady hand! I still have a lot of practise ahead of me before I reach this level of control over my brushstrokes.
It was nice to see you acknowledge airbrush usage on this tutorial. Even though this can be done with brush painting, it might be nice to see companion videos for the airbrush work you did on this one.
Beautiful video. I loaded this up just to see if it was a color scheme I'd like, and before I knew it, half an hour had gone by. Super easy to follow, and I can't wait to make Kairos my first "big miniature."
Very great tutorial! I've been watching for a long time now. In this one I particularly like the color choices on the staff, and the blending. Thanks again.
I'm currently using this paint scheme for my daemon prince of Tzeentch conversion, and it's really turning out to be the proudest I've ever been of a 40k mini.
Awesome! I like your version even more than Duncan's. Especially color scheme that you choose for feet. Looks very "bird-like" :3 Thanks for the tutorial
Argh! Nightmare! I couldn't find a tutorial for this version so decided to freestyle it using Thousand Sons blue and Ahriman blue instead of those in the GW tutorial. Saw this literally just after finishing the blue base coats! I love the wings on this one so might have to combine the two! :-s Lovely work.
Amazing video as usual! These tutorials are super helpful for new painters wanting to learn new techniques. I do have a question though, how do you go about removing mold lines? Your minis always look so crisp and line free!
i loved the video but i do have some critiques of the video editing, it would have been really helpful you showing how you use the same tecniques on the head and hand and thee feather tips that could be easier to miss the first time around, also wouldnt it be safer say doing the wing claws before using drakonhof night shade so if any mistakes do happen it would be easier to fix? that goes for a couple of other steps too.
The War Gamer do you maybe have any tips for how to paint the kairic acolyte shields without lahmium medium? My game shop didn't have any and I don't want to order it online and pay such high shipping prices for just one paint. If you don't have any I will just have to still order it online
Love your style and the way you explain your techniques. Think you could work on some Khorne daemons soon? Something as simple as a bloodletter or as intense as a bloodthirster would be cool either way.
this was super helpful, though I will admit I had to go back during the video to see how you painted the strap and cloth underneath the armor on Kairos's neck cause you forgot that part in the video. But it looks like its just Abaddon black, eshin grey and dawnstone so it should be easy to do.
Great toturial as always. Can you maybe paint a Disciples of Tzeetch Magister? I want him as one of my generals for my army but have no clue how to paint his skin. If you won't paint it do you maybe have some tips?
Hey... I have long wanted to ask: could you make a tutorial on painting summoner's familiars from Silver Tower? As far as I know it's the only tutorial about ST which you have not done yet. (sorry for my clumsy English btw =Р )
Great tutorial ! +1 for being the first "how to paint Kairos Fateweaver" after the WarhammerTV video. I was going to do one, but you beat me to it. And you didn't use an airbrush? That must have taken forever. EDIT: Oh you DID use an airbrush. You should have filmed that!
I only actually used it to paint the dark blue base layer and I decided not to include it in the video because it can be done just as well with a brush. Everything else was done with a regular brush at took about two weeks worth of evenings to paint entirely.
And I would watch that video ! EDIT: Actually - I really appreciate your fondness for the glazing technique. But from my own experience it's best applied on smaller areas. I think for the Pink to Flesh color transition on the wings of this model, an airbrush would have been most appropriate for the initial pass. Then after washing, you could glaze in the very tips of the wings. I don't know it that would necessarily be faster, but it might be easier to control. Same for the Staff of Tomorrow.
Absolutely incredible tutorial! Definitely following this religiously. Pardon my ignorance, but that base is equally cool. Is that a custom one made by you personally? Or is there a place I can get my hands on a similar one? Really love those crystal shards.
I built it using some components from the AoS basing kit along with some plastic crystals: www.greenstuffworld.com/en/resin-crystals/294-red-translucent-resin-crystals.html?search_query=crystals&results=3
I think you should consider changing the music accompanying the painting tutorial. That music would be more suited to going to fucking war than doing something relaxing like painting a model.
The strategic placement of the brush, the clash of colours, the precision application of paint, the blood spilt trying to remove that annoying bit of plastic and then your knife slips and impales your finger. Painting is WAR!
I appreciate the humour. However, there's enough madness in this world we happen to inhabit. That music just feels me with dread. Nice relaxing music would be far better, accompanied by a female doing some ASMR lip smacking as she's providing instructions. Now that would have a soporific effect on me. The music you've got going on makes me want to grab a gun and go to fucking war! Great painting, by the way.
sorry but there some parts not covered and or explained, 90% of the model is fine but the head, tabard, the knees, not being covered and am now lost with the video
While I didn't explicitly cover each area individually, the colours used in those areas were used elsewhere in the guide. The beak is the same as the feet, the tabard = wings, knees = gold used elsewhere.
Better tutorial than Duncan's. But that is only enhanced because you lack that annoying accent and the usual British smugness. I hate how Duncan never uses Ceramite White, basically on principle.
I watch this every once in a while while saving up for kairos
Just bought kairos, should be here tomorrow
@@Kaasbaas1234did you paint him?
@@Cyd99yeah i did! turned out pretty good if i do say so myself haha...

5:57 Take one... 6:04 take two! lol good tutorial
That one slipped through the editing! One mistake in a 30min video? I can live with that :P
He looks awesome. Great tutorial as always
what a paint job! love to see the rest of the Tzeentch minis in your range
Thanks :D
This is amazing. You should work for GW. All of your tutorials are impressive and I will look forward to your next one
Thank you very much, that really would be my dream job!
This is great timing! I basecoated the miniature blue and then saw this video, great work, dude
Thank you very much !
Awesome!

Thanks for the tutorial
Thank you very much, I'm particular proud of how the feet turned out.

Sorry about that!
+The War Gamer On the contrary- thank you for giving me the rest of what I needed! Awesome work! :-D
What a figurine! Definitely a terrific tutorial, amazing work :D
Thanks!

Just about to paint my own Fateweaver, great help! Thanks!
Loved the video. Don’t suppose you’d ever be interested in painting a Lord celestant on stardrake? It would be a huge help. Keep up the amazing videos
Another great video, thanks for this. could you please do a video or two about airbrushing? the basics, colour blending that kind of thing?
Sure thing, it was something I was hoping to cover in my quick tips series soon
The War Gamer great thanks :)
Thanks for the video. Your tutorials are definitely some of the best (if not the best) on RUclips
Thank you very much, that means a lot :D

Awesome tutorial and I really like how you didn't drybrush everything!
that being said, doing this with drybrush is infinitly faster and less nerve wracking
This was excellent, thank you so much. I look forward to watching your other videos
Even though I did my own custom paint scheme, this helped me so much, thank you !
Beautiful work mate
Amazing video! Clear instructions, clear camera angle just awesome! Sub
how about painting the tzeentch sorcerer lord from the silver tower expansion?
that looks amazing dude. I really like your tzeetch toturials. I just ordered a box of Kairic acolytes and I'm gonna use your toturial for them :)
Good luck! Feel free to share you work on The War Gamers community :)

amazing result. much better than the Games Workshop version.
Awesome!! Good tutorial.
Very nice, can you please make a tutorial for the keeper of secrets, there is none, thanks
Can you do a video of shalxi helbane? She is very scary to paint and your tutorial are the best
Great video!
How about the chalk white color scheme for flesh eater court mordants? Maybe also the wings used for the crypt flayers?
What grey was used for the base coat?

AWESOME!!
Wow. Top shelf display case material right there! Would you consider painting the Blood Bowl Star Players released by Forge World?
Not sure just yet, I'm hoping to get the Skaven and Dwarf teams completed first!

The Mechanicus Standard Grey Spray is not a primer or am i wrong with this?

Hell yeah
Nice
Another great video! What medium do you say you use?
Thank you
Is there a specific reason for using water instead of Lahmian medium when diluting some of the shades?
No particular reason, it's just whatever you have to hand really
I just don't understand how you paint the head like the chest or like the arms ?
Great Tutorial!
Thank you!
You're very much welcome.
insane!
Thanks!
Awesome !
Great video. What brand of grey primer do you use?
I used Halfords Grey Primer on this guy but if you have an airbrush the Vallejo primers are great:
amzn.to/2AVkrsj
Where did you get the paints?
how do you get your paint to go on so smooth, i have trouble with the water mix and never can get it right
Using a wet palette helps, it keeps your paint workable for longer.
what base spray did you use? would it be ok to use the corax white gw spray?
I use a Grey Car Primer from Halfords, I personally find white too stark for some of the darker colours but you could try it out.
Wauw!
Do you have a list of what paints you used?
Just added them to the description :)
fuck yeah! :D
