I don't get why Jump hasn't made a polished successful Crossover fighter, they have the potential of making so much money. If they can actually get capable devs which seems hard for them to do LOL. I assume its because of the licenses, so they rather make them with short lifespans like Jump Force on purpose just to get a bit of money since its just an anniversary game after all. its disappointing because they could actually make a smash competitor. They just need a passionate director and time to develop, and with art direction that actually looks like a manga/anime. Perhaps another magazine could make a crossover game like weekly shonen sunday where licenses wont be as much of an issue.
They do get capable devs, but most Jump crossovers don't get enough time since they "need" to release for the anniversary. The thing is, the games ARE selling. Jump Force is the most sold Jump crossover. With sales like that nothing will change. Considering there hasn't been a big console crossover this anniversary I'm hopeful that, next time, we get a game that matches the original vision of the devs.
@@italolxd3128 You are right, I didn't convey what I was thinking. The devs are clearly talented, however their creativity is not being unleashed and like as you said they are creating rushed half-baked games. Which makes them look not capable, which is sad.
I've played (and am still playing/making content) about Sunday Vs Magazine and DFCI, but I'd have never heard of the first game. Looks neat. Sunday vs magazine is extremely fun for a casual, easy to get into (because of the easier input system), but it surprisingly has a lot of cool and undiscovered tech. I love playing characters like Devil-Man and Ippo because I love their charavters, but they also feel fun to play and explore. I hope this game gets its time in the light, even if the light is small Edit: super glad you brought up the pc port a lot of casuals don't know about. Great video!
Some extra notes on Dengeki Bunko Zetsuma will be either Akira or Selveria Denshin isn't actually that Dreamcast character, it's just the form they took, but Dreamcast is actually from another series called Seha Girls where they got the Hatsune Miku artist to create characters based on Sega consoles Denshin and Zetsuma are removed from Ignition and you just get a rival fight in arcade. Actually a game you could have covered here as well is Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
In case y'all didn't know Dengeki bunko fighting climax had a gacha game for mobile too called crossing void which was awesome but poorly handled by the developers which led it to end its service. Also animes included in that game like Railgun, SAO, irregular at magic highschool, toradora, that anime with Masochist angel (I forgot the name), oreimo (only watch if you don't have a sister) are all great animes so consider checking them out
I was lucky enough to play all of these! Another Crossover game that I think could fit in this list (although this one is less anime and more anime inspired games, although most of these series received anime at one point) is Aqua Pazza on PS3, I wish the game popped off, it was fun
You should honestly do a video on Melty Blood or the many good Shonen Jump Mugen games, or Blazblue Cross Team Battle, a MUGEN game that plays like CvS2 with anime fighter elements, or Big Bang Beat x Street Fighter, a MUGEN crossover between the doujin fighter Big Bang Beat and the classic fighting game series Street Fighter
I love Battle Stadium D.O.N., so glad fans made a patch that translates everything and adds the dub voices. I've been hoping for a sequel with a better method for unlocking characters
I actually went down a Dengeki Bunko rabbit hole after getting sucked into Crossing Void, which is the gotcha mobile game, in highschool I ordered one of the DS crossovers on Amazon using my school laptop The charge went through But it never came And I never followed up because idk why I mean it's been too long now so 🤷♂️
I heard of clima x They just never released it to global to be honest battle arena really popular in Japan is the reason why most of the Anime fighting games are basically the same thing these days
I LOVED Fighting Climax. I had friends who played the Vita version. Considering it’s the same people who did Melty Blood It’s very will made. But. There seems to be a damage scaling problem Your auto combo probably values about the same of the real combo and The two time used item Trump cards It is safe on block and does about half life on hit but using it as a combo extension is stupid due to the way the game damage skills The Trump card is a getaway tool or a damage weapon but you do not want to combos with it Style points is all you get Styling on your opponent doesn’t really do anything helpful in a fight
There are two types of trump cards. One is straight damage, and an overhead despite looks, while being safe on block. The other is just a power up state, like Kirito's dual-wielding stance. Both give access to more chain options and jump cancels for a time, along with free mid-combo assist calls.
I love how despite fans saying the big three is One piece, Naruto and Bleach. 2 crossover games I know of now put One piece, Naruto and Dragon ball instead lol.
I'm sad that we never got a proper Sega Vs Dengeki Bunko game. Here's how I'd do the Sega Roster:
Shinobi- Joe Musashi, Hotsuma, Moritsune, Hibana, Hiruko Ubusuna
Border Break- Haty (with Kisei Kushiki assist), Managar (with Kisei Hashiki assist, Blitz (with Cougar NX assist)
Virtual-On- Temjin, Fei-Yen, Hatter, Raiden, Kagekiyo, Tangram (as a boss)
Sakura Wars- Sakura Shinguji (with Kobu Kai assist), Ichiro Ogami (with Kobu Type 2 assist), Sakura Amamiya (with Spiricle Striker assist)
Phantasy Star- Etoile Cast, Matoi, Emilia Percival, Risa, Quna
Valkyria Chronicles- Alicia, Selvaria, Riela, Kurt, Kai, Minerva
Sonic- Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Eggman, Metal Sonic
Jet Set Radio- Beat, Yo-Yo, Gum, DJ Professor K
Yakuza- Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Akira Nishikiyama, Ichiban Kasuga
Virtua Fighter- Akira Yuki, Pai Chan, Go Hinogami, Kage-Maru, Dural, Jean Kujo
Fighting Vipers-Bahn, Candy, Picky, Mahler
Shining Resonance Refrain- Yuma, Agnum, Rinna, Marion
Super well edited and the way you talk through each game is still great as all your other videos. Great stuff!
ou yah

I loved battle stadium DON back in the day, I remember my friend Imported it and we played it for hours. Good times.

Absolutely loved Sunday Vs. Manga I poured countless hours into. I never owned a copy of dengeki however I use to play it often at a friend's. House.
Still no Gundam Extreme Versus…

Funny, that Dreamcast girl is just called "Dreamcast" in the Neptunia game
We were addicted to battle stadium D.O.N back in the ps2

Super Heroine Chronicle was another anime crossover game that could've been added to this list
I really like sunday x magazine, sadly only japanese game, but I remember the game have combos and attacks to equip in the character before the battle

Heard of most.
I've heard of and played them all. I got really lucky
I've known about all of them.
I love Battle Stadium D.O.N., so glad fans made a patch that translates everything and adds the dub voices. I've been hoping for a sequel with a better method for unlocking characters

No anime battle arena 😪
Ma-ku-nau-chi ippo 😭
Shonen Gangan Or Shonen Ace
I love how despite fans saying the big three is One piece, Naruto and Bleach. 2 crossover games I know of now put One piece, Naruto and Dragon ball instead lol.
The big three has always been Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto.
Don't let the bleach fans fool you. 😆😆😆
Dragon ball is on a league of it's own tbf.
@@Wol1427 You don't know what the meaning of big three is
@@Wol1427 dragon ball is its own thing. Even then the big three was referring to best selling manga during that 2000s to early 2010 era.
Please play dragon ball Nexus
