- Smokey Robinson with a beautiful performance at the Uline Warehouse Stage on the last day of Summerfest, July 8, 2023. What a voice. The band was spectacular. I had to 'edit' out a lot of "Woohoo!" from a guy that was close by. The fans on stage at the end cheering our groups was fun. Smokey STILL GOT IT!

Legend, Mr. Smokey Robinson, crowned in his Kingly dapper pink suit serenaded his enthusiastic audience with his suave first tenor voice with immense Detroit swagger: effortlessly. His opulent silk tenor voice evoked nostalgic recollections with oldies such as: " Babby Babby and many more. At times, it felt like Robinson was making love with the instruments. His background singers and maven instrumentalists were phenomenal. Rod- thanks immensely for posting this spectacular concert!

E Rod: Thanks for sharing, I missed Summerfest this year and I'm still bummed out! The Bass player for Smokey is a local home boy, Gary Foote, from Milwaukee. He was a mentor to so many of us Milwaukee musician. I would have loved to catch up with him, but thanks to you I at least get to see him live!

Thank you so much for sharing. I absolutely LOVE this man so much. He is the absolute best live singer you will ever heat. Let us not forget he was 83 and a half years old when this was shot. To still have that smooth voice and still be able to get up and move around a stage like that is just AMAZING!!! We saw him do this show in July at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa, CA as well as at the RUclips Theater last December in Inglewood, CA. It just never gets old. He is as good as the old Motown days, if not better!!!👏💚🎉

audio or lip syncing no tricks and hold your audience captive and loving you and your performance

Since got such an outstanding voice, but his back up singers, they suck they overpower his singing. They sound terrible, and the band needs to pick up speed and more based inside.
