I have a dress with these pockets and I wanted to copy it as it fits me perfectly well but I could not for the life of me work out how to do these pockets! Now I know - thank you SO MUCH!!!!!
Thank you Emily😊 Appreciate the kind words. Please have a look at my French Seam and other Flat felled seam with pocket tutorials on my channel. Cheers and thanks for watching.🙏
Thank you SO much for creating this brilliant, easy-to-follow tutorial! I LOVE this pocket. I'm now going to use this design on everything I make. You're the BEST!!!
Thank you. I’ve tried to break it down to as many simple steps as possible for everyone to understand. It’s not a beginner project but if you stay precise, should come out good. Always practice on scrap and keep as sample. Cheers!
You are so welcome! Glad you like them. Will have new tutorials in next day or two. Be sure to subscribe and turn on All notifications so you don’t miss them. Thanks for watching🙏😊

Thank you so much for this precise and crystal clear tutorial. I wanted to know if once I've sewn the pocket to the front, could I sew the sides together using French seams instead of flat felled?
Yes you can but won't be as strong or flat. Most important is to catch those two corners of the pocket. I would try both methods with scraps and keep these samples for reference. Please share and have a look at some of my other videos. Cheers!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. And thanks again for the most clear sewing tutorial on RUclips ever!! The instructions and video are both spot on.
You’re most welcome. I appreciate your kind words.😊. Have a look at this tutorial as well as it does not have the visible topstitching for the pocket. ruclips.net/video/Ao9xBHFLUDA/видео.html
Many many thanks; could you please advise if the straight grain of the pocket piece follows that of the dress (a rather full A line) or with the selvage as per your example. Much appreciated.

Follow the selvage so the edge is on straight grain and won’t stretch as much. Thanks for watching😐
Do you have a printable pattern available?
I will very soon. Please check back in couple of days in description.
