I played 20 mins of Haven on day 1 and stopped playing. Now i play once in a while on any other map, but recoil bug feels horrible and Haven is literally the worst map in the game.
Low content hurts.
Old devs created 1 map in 1 month. New devs creates 1 map in 4 months. Might be due to skeleton crew.
It’s the skeleton crew. EA is keeping a small group of misfortunate devs who no doubt don’t even play their own game (let alone play test it) assigned BF2042 to avoid negative press if they abandon the game like they did with bf5.
Whatever they try to fix, they'll fuck up something else.

They really need to add more portal maps
Sound fx for footsteps is still messed up, Hit reg is still not fixed, no option to reduce sun glare, other issues. They should've listened to those content creators.
The reason why gunships have been missing from breakthrough is because the oil refinery had been sabotaged by the enemy meaning no fuel for the gunships.
Now that the situation has been fixed, the gunships will receive new fuel in next update
No no no, the real reason why the condor and hind weren’t in breakthrough, is because the penguins sniffed all the oil, but they’ve since gotten into rehab and the oil is now flowing out of the refinery’s again

Have you seen the new hitbox glitch, ravic showed it on RUclips. This season has more bugs then content
maybe consider the possibility that the 20 year old conquest gameplay loop just doesn't hold up as well in a time when people play games for a living and when we're not playing, the games are beaten to death on twitch and social media. everyone thinks that all we need is to somehow return to the glory days of BF3 but i don't think we can go back. if you get bored with a new map in a week how many maps do you need in a season to remain entertained? dice needs to inject some innovation into the gameplay loop without trying to steal it from COD. i think control was a good start at rejuvenating the conquest mode but there is so much more the could do without turning it into Snoop Dogg versus Godzilla with fire bullets. sadly, DICE does not even consistently offer control but hope springs eternal.
Facts. Rush was an innovation in BC and they took it pretty far. 2042 doesn't do well with Rush tho.
Control and shutdown are nice additions. Especially since they haven't gotten the XL chaos Xtreme version applied to them.
Personally I've argued for more of a macro conflict over top of the matches. Going back to my Endwar days with the Theater of War. The rich history of Battlefield maps could be used to have a global conflict. Where every day has a Frontline of maps that are available to play faction v faction with various game modes available. With the Frontline moving daily based on the win/loss total for the day.
Sadly the multiplayer experience has been shutdown over 10 years ago. And nobody has really replicated that experience since. Closest lately is Helldivers 2 with its PVE Frontlines.
I dnt understand your expectations lol. They've moved on from this game. DICE is done with this game. Giving us ANY content is just throwing us a bone in the interim. Every video you talk as if this game should still be getting a ton of content or like it's not a dead game that's 3 years old. Any content at all is just bonus at this point. They do not need to give us anything at all at this point and the argument could easily be made that they shouldn't, financially. At this point, I play the game as is and if they give me a new map or gun on occasion, dope.

Something I have noticed since the patch, there is definitely fewer people in the lobbies. And the cheaters seem to be more rampant than normal in 2042, personally I've gone back to Battlefield 1 where they have private servers that can be monitored.
You shoukd really do a BFV vs 2042 video in terms of gameplay, feel, weapon mechanics etc. Playing the games back to back highlights how awful 2042 actual feels.

I am struggling to really push myself to just do it for the BP. TBVH this game as a *Battlefield* game is just so shallow in itself. It feels more than ever a generic run and gun shooter style that's been dominant in the FPS genre since CoD 4/MW2 2009. It feels a bit exhausting to play but at the same time I don't feel willing to commit to playing long sessions of 2042? There's just nothing really any 'meat' to the game.
If BF2025 is a similar game to BF2042 (2042 but with a more 'classic 4 class system') then I am not sure if I'll even bother with the beta because from that Tom Henderson rumour it's another basic as hell game holds no appeal to me. It feels 2042's actual problems is that they want to repeat the "'spirit of 2011 of CoD Vs BF" but the FPS gaming market has changed.
I want something *much* more deeper from Battlefield, it's come way too much a mindless run and gun shooter for people who want that kind of experience but dislike CoD strongly with the demand of something around the corner happening in each match feels everything is pointless no. There's zero strategic depth and the new map shows it.
Honestly Haven feels like it'd be a decent 32 player BC2 map when things where considered slower then (when BC2 was arguably the fastest paced BF at the time) but as a 64 player it's an absolute mess that feels more reliant of luck than anything.
Agreed. It would be better to cap it at 32 total players on Haven. Bad company was def a slower paced game. But also room to have plenty of fun shenanigans. With too many players, it restricts the opportunity to create new unique experiences.
Like where are the ATVs and dirt bikes for Haven? Or even a tuk Tuk equivalent dammit.
I think Battlefield needs to have a macro Battlefield of War. With matches being frontlines between factions. Instead of just rotating through a playlist. There would be select modes and maps would be available each day for each faction to win or lose. Moving the Frontline daily.
Sprinkle in special operations like a Raid concept that would be a 8v24 mode. But allow the attackers to earn bonus points for faction or unlock special equipment for the next day's matches. If the total win/loss is in the attacker's favor at the end of the day.
@@TheoriginalBMT I mean describing Bad Company as "slower" is kind of the absurdity since BC2 was like the fastest BF game released so far.
It feels ever since BF3's Operation Metro we've been getting faster and faster combat with instant graitifcation with the expectation of something kewl around the corner at every moment. No time for tactics, just spawn in and dive immediately into the action so much everything has become more bland like a snack or meal filled with carbs and sugar and nothing else.
Feels like BF should really be split up *properly* again for a faster, more arcadey tempo and another going in a more tactical, slower tempo. The series has become a mess with the next game demanded to be the 'savior' of the franchise.
On the topic of cheaters. I've noticed what seems like suspiciously godly tier heli gunners. My AH gunner was lazering peeps with NO lag or breather in between enemies; very automatic. The other one could've just been really good but the stealth pilot (or their gunner) seemed to land all their shots from when they started firing at middle range. Haven't experienced that before. Felt like bs.
I really don’t like haven it feels to campy, and it’s hard to break through and hold objective because of so many low and high angles and buildings with windows
I don't understand why they don't remaster and add BF3 maps as they all use the same assets. Kharg Island, for example, basically shares the same assets with Noshair Canals.
They just straight up wouldn’t play right in 2042. Mackay, sundance, even the differences in climb/ vault mechanic means that the games wouldn’t play the same at all.
@TheOtherOtherAccount I think Caspian Border plays really well with specialists, and Noshair Canals never was an S tier map, but it still is better than many vanilla 2042 maps.
@VRSVic Specialist are bullshit in Battlefield.
Especially with Sundance & MacKay who has a built-in movement boost when aiming and his grappling hook gimmick was done better in Hardline.
@Rogue-Mike I know, I never said they were a good, dunno how you reach this conclusion. I'm just saying that they play well on BF3 portal maps and might play ok if DICE remaster others.
i think you overestimate the appetite of the rest of the community for a remaster of a game that you can actually still play online. people are losing their minds that Haven reuses assets from Arica Harbor.

and i have to say we ate good from BF2 - BF1 but since live service came along.
Content quality and quantity has dropped off in favor of microtransactions.
And adding "core game" mechanics into a fully released and almost redeemed game just seems like the biggest step backwards
they could do at this stage in the game but then i do recall they did similar with bf5?
sadly i believe that the Battlefield franchise has been on life support for too long and will likely never make a comeback...

Nothing come close to BF3/BF4 content and map design in bf2042. Haven is just a simple ok map with no WOW in it
Social functions are borked at the moment. Had to subject the squad to portal lobbies to even reliably end up in the same game and squad.
Weapon recoil - broke the tracking for me and some other nonsense I cant stand. Haven is blah, I want Stadium Locker.

Havne is a huge miss for Dice; but if yoo go to Portal and play this map only as infantry it is very good map
2 guns, 1 map, 1 gadget, no new game modes. Why wouldn't everyone be bored in a week? There's the least amount of new things ever, after 5 months.
What I would like them to add, Scavenger mode from BF3 Aftermath. Maybe bring back Gun Master. One map is way too little.
They're trying to fix things, but I don't think they're capable or competent. They're adding worst features like visual recoil, although it's not as bad as I imagined. But the new bugs, vehicle 3P aim bug especially is disgraceful. There's more new bugs than new content.
I took a break after they announced season 7 was going to take a white. I’ve come back to the game and it feels like a nice comfy pair of shoes. I know what I’m getting and that’s fine.
I've been playing since launch and every new map for every new season, including the refreshes, have been fun and exciting to play until now. Haven is boring. A lot of copy and paste of limited assets for a map that feels largely unoriginal.
I was excited at first, but the map already feels dated. I've skipped out on the Haven 24/7 and just played regular conquest/breakthrough

havnt noticed a difference in the visual recoil, its still not there., dice also trying to seperate this update from 1 big one to a few small ones to make it seem like theytre releasing constant updates. So two new maps we got 1, and over a month later for the next one, the map is ready theyre just holding on to it for the sake of spreading it out. They also have the stealth bomber whioch im sure is also ready but they want a seperate update. So rather than being like "look at this big update" and make people excited for potentially more. They made a update and split it in half over a month or two lol

I like the map but that’s not the problem it’s just 2042 doesn’t quite hit the spot that other battlefields do also I’m not the kind of guy that likes playing without the homies and halo has been popping off again especially with all the CONTENT it has lately lol so that’s where we been at
Yeah haven't been playing for the last couple of days aleady. Probably would be playing if I had the option to just play a round of Redacted but I'm not enjoying Haven whatsoever.
Season 7 is my favorite so far, due to the recoil update. I can't get enough of it.

It's a really decent map once I got used to it despite not initially liking it. I do feel like "Alright, what's next?" after a week haha. Remember when things hyped us up lol. I play BF cause I love BF. Not because of content. Bf4-1-5 have no content and I can still play them. I don’t play only to unlock things. Like a sport game. Let’s take Fifa for exemple. Every time its just another soccer game. Or football , depending where you live 😂. Its the same field each game. I see bf that way.
Heaven is a great map. Uts a hard map. There is more campers. But its door to door action and 2042 needed that.
I think 2042 is underappreciated like bfv was. People love to hate it. They do need to add bigger drops of content when they do. Especially after 6-7 months
Haven just needed time for people to figure out it's flow and quirks. At first I was meh. But after playing defense on breakthrough 6 times in a row 😑 I really started to figure out what works and what doesn't.
Players should be lucky that they got 7 seasons out of this game lol. The developers could have easily abandoned this games so long ago.

good stuff Ghost. Nothing special about the new map. how many times can u play it before it gets boring? A server browser would eleiminate a lot of the issues with maps. I logged in last night and was hit with Kilidashit and Hour-gl-azz, not once but twice. For some reason i get the same poophead maps time and time again. Most games are blowouts, so much for match making. Matching making BS never worked anywhere. I think EA/Dice get a lot don't quickley, but its terrible work. That doesn't help. Whats crazy is al the answers are there for them to see, but pure bliniess BC2 and BF3 were awesom

They spread out the comtent to make it seem like the game gets longer support. There should be a new map every month at least, not 1 map every 6 months. They should also add some additional ported maps. Just port over bf4 and bf3 maps upscaled or smth, idc we just want new maps

I'm about to reinstall bf4 s070 on 2042 but oh well
I feel the issue with the game is not just the poor balance, but also the team balance. Some games you get white washed with ease then other games the balance is good its a back and forth fight, however as a breakthough player i also feel the vehicle balance is very off putting, when i am defender straight away i go "Here is another loss" because we do not get a tank, mav and a chopper like the attackers so really what is the point? On top of that a tank with APS and Irish is just nearly impossible to destory but do they fix this? of cause not. I tend to take breaks from the gamre more often just because of the poor balance, i like infantry play nearly every map has a dozen vehicles so when infantry week is on i play more. When it is not, i play something else.
How do u update anything and make it worse than what it was. 😂
Dice if you’re reading this, just add breakthrough support for portal maps, release all remaining content at once in season 8 and end “support” for this disaster of a game. It’ll be better to just move on and forget this game ever happened so we can get back to the battlefield roots and have a good game for once. Thanks
I mean, the content itself isn't bad at all. Its actually one of the better seasons so far. The problem is that DICE (either out of incompetence or on purpose) set the expectation that this season would be much bigger than the prior ones in terms of content, and its just - not -.
If it was marketed and presented as 'just another season', sure, people may have been a little underwhelmed but at least expectations would've been met/exceeded a little.
bf v cannot launch after the new anticheat update and i am not the only one with that problem.
The game is great, feels great and I'm having fun, the only things I'm negative about is the whole life cycle of the game, the content drops the live service and of course the launch of the game these things showed never trust Dice and EA again.

I've gotten the tier 1 badge for every other season. At this point I'm just so burnt out and disappointed that I'm just gonna try and get the sraw and drop the game. I'm having way more fun playing other games to come back and try and care about 2042 and battlefield as a whole.

Must be hard for Battlefield and Halo content creators to cover dead games. Hopefully they both return to form next games but I won't hold my breath.
Miss the days of old Battlefield Premium. I'd rather pay for the DLC's and I get guaranteed content rather then the drip feed we get now with "LIVE SERVICE" games.
MWIII gets in this season fcking 6 Maps!.. if they can do this, then this shouldn´t be a big problem for DICE.
LiveService is much more rewarding in the money for the companys.. There is no reason why so little content has to be delivered. although the money is brought in much more. EA and DICE are just stupid. They don't know that a lot more people would spend money if the support was right.@@MIBxSpartan
@@Steve-mx9rr While I agree I don't know if its been an overall good thing for battlefield. The whole reason we got "Specialist" rather then the traditional classes nameless soldiers was so they could monetize skins for the specialists. Overall the Specialists detracted too much from the game for me; turning my mostly authentic feeling war game into a happy go lucky Hero shooter. I get if they are going down the free content route they have to find another way to monetize the support for the game but what 2042 gave us wasn't it.
The new map reminds me of Suez Canal from BF1 very unfun

The new map isn't very good at all, but thankfully in regular rotation it doesn't come that often and if you happen to like it you can 24/7 it all you want.
The biggest problem for the season is the 3rd person aiming problems with both tank and Ram...it's virtually impossible at the moment. Tank is okay to play fp but Ram is just bit too bouncy for that so you really need to use the 3rd person view and now with the sights getting locked at times and overall shooting way too low it's pretty hard to get kills with it anymore...hopefully they'll fix that soon so we can enjoy them again!

best way to fix it, get rid of it fully, tanks 3rd person is fucked as we all know, the tanks hit reg on choppers is fucked hitting a little bird directly 3 times for no damage, it seems that dice is still the same try add something and fix something but fuck up 100 other things, they need to stop fucking around with TTKs and recoils and such thats how they killed off BFV and its one map thats horrible its too camp of duty.
The Worst Cheaters i've seen in BF2042 Is this new map Havana = smh Wall bangers & can see us on the whole map tracker was awful experience.
They can bring back premium and live service and mixed it up

I heard so many praises for bf 5, I tried it and it was unplayable because of huge amount of cheaters, maybe will check it out again.

But the graphics in BF4 are rubbish now, well, on PS5 they are.

As a completionist, I'm hyper focused on maps like Redacted, Metro/Locker. Its fast placed, engaging and rewarding gameplay where as the rest of the maps in the context of SPM/kills per match, do not stack up nearly as easily. I understand everyone likes different aspects of the same game, but I KNOW I'm not the only guy who wants to grind out T1s on good maps rather than waste my time elsewhere.
They need to make Redacted Conquest a permanent game mode

I like Bf 2042 still, but its true, its slowly becoming boring. The content, well, do you remember BF4? Premium and DLCs?! That was good new content, keeping us busy with learning, playing the new maps!

Premium is NOT the fix. There is NOT guarantee that they would give us more content through premium.
They would if they said what will be in the Premium pack.

I am so sick of desert maps. No cover, orange, cheaply designed and boring. I only play Breakthrough. The new map will be unbearable with helicopters.

It's perhaps not ONLY the lack of content, but keep in mind BF 2042 has HALF THE MAPS of BF1 and back. Only too early cancelled BFV has this few maps.

2042 servers will be even emptier when the new Delta Force game comes out here shortly....and next year, when the new BF comes out, will be a ghost town. So all these kids, Tier 1'ing everything in the game, with a poop bucket next to the computer, will have done it all for nothing.
