- A 100% win rate is a false expectation. Some of the greatest traders in the industry have explained that they are profitable, funded, and maintaining consistent payouts with a 50-65% win rate. The art of losing is a critical skill in trading. I have found that when I accepted the fact that I would lose and designed a risk plan that accommodated for losses, I saw much more success as a trader. You can get funded with The Funded Trader, My Forex Funds, and True Forex Funds by learning the average win rate of your strategy and learning how to continue to trade every time you see your confirmations. As we grow as traders we can increase our win rate through several factors, but there is no escaping gaining the skill of losing.

In 2022 with a 1:2 RR over 250 trades my win rate was around 58%. It was a very profitable year but in 2023 I had my longest losing streak of 6 weeks in a row. After 7 months still came out profitable but way different gains than last year and my win rate is around 39% for this year. Keep in mind, trading same strategy!

I currently have a 80% win rate and I only trade before I start work. I do WFH ( Software Engineering ) so that probably helps with my psychology. I plan on doing 4-5 trades a day now ( right now it’s 1-2 ).

I use to have a 1:5rr but it isn’t working for me because the win rate is 40% and I had to hold my trades for long sometimes it comes back to hit my SL
And now I’m working with 1:3rr with same weekly Traget 3% of my trading acc 50% win rate

Truth is I was a bad looser that’s why I struggled for too long I was looking for a strategy to eliminate all losses and unfortunately that DOES NOT EXIST. The funny part about trading is that any strategy works even the Regular ones that are not so complex.

You shouldn't practice position sizing and risk just 1% on all trade that way your less emotionally attached.

Great video! I have a question about EAs, do they work on any trading platform or just some specific ones?
To my knowledge, EAs have to be programmed specifically for the trading platform. Even between MT4 and MT5 there are minor code changes needed.

I actually find your stats insanely good. 60%+ winrate with 3:1 is absolutely insane to me. I guess I’m not on that level yet. My strategy has a 22% winrate with 5:1 (spreads included) which yields me around 30r every 100 trades
( 6-10r per month on average)
That's a psychological nightmare for me 😭. My 1:1 has a 70-80% win, 1:2 50-60, 1:3 40-45 but somehow I stuck to 1:2 because it gives me the least psychological stress, although 1:3 was slightly more profitable after every 100 trades. I preferred the consistency of 1:2

@@William.-. i follow trend and take reversals on the 15minute timeframe on EU. Taking 2:1 and 3:1 don’t work with my aggressive entries. But letting the trades run far worked.

Try to focus on trades not on your account is it in profit or drawdown.
Stay away from first and last day of the week, wait for the best setup and use a minimum risk in this situation until your account at the BE then continue with 0.5% of your account and when your account at 2% then you can risk 1%.
You have unlimited time to trade dont be rush take your time bro
Slow down. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Especially now with no time limits you have no reason to be 6% down if you've just started the challenge. Take your time if you have a profitable trading strategy. If you don't have a profitable strategy work on that first before taking challenges.

FTMO has great trading conditions
FTMO and True Forex Funds have excellent trading conditions. FTMO maintains a higher profit target than most for phase 1 but they offer the best conditions though.
Hello my friend. I bumped into your channel because, just like you I want to become a funded trader. Just a couple of questions though, 1st. What are the current prices for the FTMO and MFF challenges? And 2nd. I've been hearing that in order to pass the challenges in FTMO the trader cannot spend more than 2 minutes per trade or they fail the challenge. Is that true? And what about the rules for MFF? Are they similar to that of FTMO? I would like to hear your response before I enter and take a challenge. Bless

My biggest flaw is having foresight, pulling the trigger with exceptional 1 min entries, but lacking in discipline to hold trades. Take for example US30: I entered a trade on Monday at 35683.47 due to seeing a 4 hour break of market structure, with an anticipated market expansion (323.6) going out to a target of 34750. This would have given me a 1:12 RR if I'm not mistaken, but just seemed too unrealistic. I held that initial trade overnight into London session but closed at 35580.97 smh. Fast forward to now Wed evening, I'm confident that price will be hitting that target. Time and time again this has been my dilemma... I'm able to chart, to then enter trades but not hold them despite my backtesting data showing this trade hits 7 out 10 times.

I think its mainly the lack of backtested data and experience. Also, have you paper traded the startegy and practiced holding in the demo?
@@abdullahrasheed yes, my empirical data has come from using the "Forex Tester" software. I honestly can't count the hours of backtesting I've put in on weekends. It literally has become a video game to me. Just as today, I anticipated price on US30 being massively bullish taking out fairly equal high liquidity, and then declining. Creating completely new lows. The same for GBP/USD, which at this present moment is panning out exactly as predicted as price went bullish into a Daily Supply zone and should be making new lower lows. I make consistent profit but no where near what I should
Edit: ultimately...experience is my Achilles heel. Unlike live markets, I'm unable to fast forward to see the results

My struggle with losses is when i lose in the markets i go on yt looking at other traders how they trade and they strategies when i my mind i know i shouldnt be doing that 😢
I feel you. It’s hard not to compare. I’ve gotten discouraged by looking at IG and all the blue MT5s. I think it’ll be better if people were open enough to share both wins and losses. On IG and YT we would assume everyone has a 100% win rate.
When do u move SL to breakeven once the trade in profit? I usually either move SL too early.
I move SL to breakeven at next High or Low. I normally trade from zone to zone and I don't move the stop until my first TP is hit.

Depends on win rate. Some people’s strategy is 1:1 with 70%. You are good.

When trading intraday move to move, I mostly let price hit my SL or if price starts to go flat and we are going into the next session I may close. When scalping I'll close early if the momentum I expected is absent.

I recommend trading based on the zones and not the static R:R. The market doesn't care about our static R:R. I've developed reasons to close based on price action.
@@abdullahrasheedstatic R:R works at least right now better for me. One of the reasons is the psychological factor and that high risk to reward trading yields better returns for me in the fx market. It all comes down to your data and backtesting
Be careful connecting to account trackers I think in TFT rules you can’t change pw or connect to other apps it breaks their rules
Yes since TFT doesn’t provide an investor password, I had to export HTML from MT5 and load it into Tradezella. Fortunately, Tradezella is able to consume the HTML.
