I am a young at heart 82 year old. I love to decorate my home. I change things quite often and my daughters always tell me I don't have use everything I have....but I do and love doing it. Lisa, thank you for all those good hacks. I love your show on RUclips. You have a beautiful home and I copy all your decorating ideas that I can. Look forward to seeing you every week. You are beautiful lady.
I’m sure you are a spry 82 year old! I can imagine your home is beautiful. I am grateful for you kind words and support. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!💕
Love that wrapping paper hack, the dishwasher towel hack, the rice hack on the bottom of the muffin pan, and softening butter hack who knew. There were lots of good ones but these were my favorites, Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
That towel hack is amazing! I have water droplets on all of my dishes every time! I love the wood spoon & ice cube hack! I do what you suggest for candles, but my problem with candle wax is when I'm pouring melted wax into another jar, I have all of that dried wax along the sides of the jar that I pored the wax out of. I know that I can put a jar with a little bit of hardened wax left in the jar in the freezer for a while. That works amazingly. I just have issues with thin layers of melted wax in the sides of a jar. As always, Lisa, thank you for sharing all of your hacks with us! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
Hey cutie! I’m so happy you liked the hacks. Those candles can be tricky for sure. I love the idea of freezing the wax. I appreciate your kindness my friend. Many blessings to you!💕
Hi Lisa! Such practical, simple, but amazing hacks. My favorites were the cookie sheet cupcake holder, the rice for baking muffins, and the necktie. Thanks so much 🤗💐
I always use a piece of bread in my brown sugar, doesn't even need to be a full piece. A large marshmallow works too! I also used to put a piece of bread in my homemade CC cookies to keep them soft when I used to bake!
Lisa, may I tell something. Looking at you, and your home, one would never expect with your prim and proper looks to bake muffins or do home hacks etc. I learnt a couple of new ones and got a refresher in some older ones I knew. Thanks!
Love the reminder of some of these and the new ones too! A couple I use are oil the edge of your boiling pan and it will not boil over. Also, I take a short strip of foil. Maybe two inches. Fold it over a couple times to make it look straight. Then I wrap it around my candle at the top. Crease it to fit then fold the crease to make a circle or square or whatever shape your candle is. Put it around that top and your candle will burn perfectly. Candle companies sell these burn lids for $20+ and you can just use foil. Make it tidy and it will burn your candle perfectly. I trim the wicks and also use the lid from the candle to extinguish it for a perfect flat candle surface every time. Love your hack vids! Keep them coming sweet friend! Have a glorious weekend. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Oh my!! What wonderful ideas!! I so enjoy watching your tips and hacks videos. I learn something new every time. My favorites today were the tie tying hack, the cooking pasta halfway off the stove eye and the tape grid muffin tray. Genius!! Hope you are having a wonderful day. Take care beautiful lady and God bless you and yours!! ❤❤❤
I loved the rag over the dishwasher. Lisa, I saw a few months ago a trick to get your parchment paper to lay down. Just cut the amount you want and then crumple the paper together in your hands like you might crumple aluminum, foil but you just don’t need to make a ball. Just take each corner together and pull it out and lay it down in your pan. Try it, it is wonderful
To keep track of your mason jar lids to reuse them , put them in a gallon or 1/2 gallon plastic zip lock bag, or a deep plastic rectangle food container with a lid and keep them in a kitchen drawer or pantry storage.
Terrific video. Fyi....you can also wash your bath tub floor anti slip mats in the washing machine. I set mine on gentle or light with warm water. They come out squeeky clean.
Hi! Thank you for the trips! I never throw away the coffee lids, I placed them under my flower pot,I got a bug zipper I place one of under so many uses! 🤗🥰
Love what you did in your home and all the recommendations. The simple, neutral style is hard to achieve when you have 4 children (trust me, I get it) but you make it work in a beautiful way. I know it’s not easy but you are truly an inspiration ❤
Lisa, incredible! This is the best home hack episode you have ever done! I found almost every one of these very useful for myself which is not always the case. And yes apple slices, well apple peels work. I think this is definitely your year.❤ God bless you and your family.
Hey Pretty Lady, such amazing hacks!!! Tieing the tie was brilliant! I'll have to try the dishwasher one, because my plastic tupperware never seems to get dry. It's most irritating! Thank you so much Lisa, for all the hacks. Take care, sweet friend, and have a wonderful weekend!!!❤❤❤
Hello, my sweet friend......Wow, these hacks are great! I love the tips for making and transporting muffins/cupcakes. Here's another candle hack; after the wicks have completely burned down, scrape out the remaining wax, put it a small Mason jelly jar, and set it on a heated coffee cup warmer ( about $5 at Wal-Mart). As the wax melts, it releases the scent., and you can enjoy the fragrance a bit longer. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.!❤
Leave the laces in the tennis shoes and when you want to dry them. Put the laces on the outside of the dryer door, close the door, and the shoes will hang on the inside of the dryer instead of banging against the inside of drum. I usually just leave mine out to our dry but my husband wants his dried quickly.
Best hacks I’ve seen! Loved the tie hack and the candle hacks, card hack and the knife hack! You did some great research for this video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks, Lisa. Some amazing hacks! I loved the tie one and I think I can use the same system to tie a scarf so it doesn’t come undone. I’ll give it a go! Have a great weekend - we have a long “Spring Bank Holiday” coming up this weekend in the UK; I expect it will rain!
I never thought of using the tie technique on a scarf!! So clever of you to think of that!! I hope you have a wonderful spring break. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm!☀️
Lisa, I finally figured out how to get my picture to show!!! Love the boiling water hack & awesome tie tying, I love how lids have multiple jar fittings. Rice to the rescue for my muffins 🎉 ice is nice ~ soft butter forever ~ yes, you can wash close to anything in the machine, I even wash my draperies and home hacks ~ ice to sharpen the garage disposal blades, I count out laundry soap {liquid} five seconds directly into machine rather than use the little cup great show, Lisa👏🥂 thanxoxome,Bon EKA CA USA 🌲
Hey pretty lady! Love your picture! I’m happy you liked the hacks. I absolutely LOVE the laundry soap countdown! What a great hack. Thank you for sharing with me!💕
I use those Parmesan cheese containers as fridge deodorizer containers. I fill the jar, the original plastic, or a glass jar, fill it with baking soda and leave the top open at the sprinkle side. It works well and does not cost anything like the silicone containers intended for that use, cost around $20. I have in my storage room large plastic grates I fill with washed useful recyclable items. I have one for glass, plastic, paper goods, metal etc. Then when I need to create something similar, I have a clean stock of different parts to create desired gadgets or parts instead going to buy them.

@@LisaBurningham Crazy. lol So you know, they are truly the BEST pots and baking pans. I bought mine when I was a sophomore in high school back in 1980. Have used them since ‘82. Arguably, the best $750 I’ve ever spent!!
Ok, so my boys are all grown up now but I’d never gotten their tie right in all those years, always had to ask my husband to do it…think I’ll teach them this hack anyway 😂 good to know about the yoga mat, didn’t enjoy wiping it down
I always put a wooden spoon ( or whatever) across the pot I’m cooking pasta in- oops just saw you added this later in your video- keeps it from boiling over- works every time👍what a cool hack for the tie👏👏👏 Please tell me you aren’t putting those knives in the dishwashers 😯😯
I keep a bottle of veggie oil ready to grab over the stove, and don't want to fuss with the lid (greasy, right?), so I've punched a nice hole in the lid with an ice pick. Now, I can grab it with one hand and squirt what I need and replace it in seconds...no greasy mess! Wa-LAAA : )
thank you sweetheart, very interesting, informative. i will use them when needed, who won the misstry box chanlange. my sister has started watching you now as she came over whilest i was watching you, she is hooked, as am i,
Hey cutie! I’m so happy you liked the hacks. The voting for the mystery box challenge is still open. I appreciate you sharing my channel with your sister. You’re a sweetheart!💕
You leave the bread/marshmallows in the brown sugar long enough to soften it again. It usually takes a day or two. You can pull the bread out after the brown sugar is soft.
I put a small golf Ball size of aluminium foil in my utensils basket. This takes the rust plets from the silverware everytime. I replicerede the foil ball when it turns a Dark color
...I was taught the " move the pot/ pan " trick" ( we did not call them Hacks " ....) by my Grandmother, when I was Teenager...( over 50 years ago, lol) A lot of things called " hacks " are Really Tips and Such, from Years ago, but are " new " to those 40 something snd under. I think the necktie thing is valuable for anyone who has difficulty wuth tying a tie. One tip : do not put your sharp knives in the Dishwasher...it dulls them, snd does create rust spots. I have washed my Shower Curtains for decades...gentle cycle, and air dry in the dryer ( on the Air Dry setting ,then finish low heat for at least 8 minutes, remove and hang it back up to finish tge drying process.). I wash almost E v evr y t h i n g ...from my Trainers ( sneakers ) to other certain tyoes of shoes ( non- leather sandals) in a Lingerie bag, they come out great. I even wash my outdoor chair cushions, my smaller outdoor Rugs, in the washer.
@LisaBurningham ...Aww.... My pleasure! So kind of you, Miss Lisa ! A few things were left out of my original comment, (;a few Smiley Emoji, lol) but I so appreciate your reply and knowing that your Content is enjoyed, useful and us older ones can share a few " Tips abd Tricks " to add to your list of " hacks ", ... 😊🙂😉 Blessings ~ ✨️

Doe u have any tips for foggy wine glasses from build up from hard water or etching from hot dishwasher?
You can wipe it out with a magic eraser or bar keepers friend (the cleanser) works too.

My mom would use a slice of apple to keep brown sugar soft. The marshmallow seems like a much better idea.
Nice! Thank you for letting me know!💕
I keep a bottle of veggie oil ready to grab over the stove, and don't want to fuss with the lid (greasy, right?), so I've punched a nice hole in the lid with an ice pick. Now, I can grab it with one hand and squirt what I need and replace it in seconds...no greasy mess! Wa-LAAA : )
Yes!! What a great idea! That sounds so convenient. Thank you so much for sharing with me!💕
I'm trying the vinegar now on my knives. I hate those little rust spots 😒

Won't the bread mold ? I don't use brown sugar a lot.
Replace not replikere 😂
What a great idea! I bet that works beautifully. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend!💕

One tip : do not put your sharp knives in the Dishwasher...it dulls them, snd does create rust spots.
