GT3 RS. GT2 RS is awesome but almost too fast to fully appreciate on the streets. Plus, the 3RS sounds infinitely cooler and we are at that point when cool sounding cars are becoming a thing of the past with the push for EVs and downsized turbo engines
"you're not gonna daily drive this car" - Someone forgot to tell that to the guy who rips past my house at 90mph every single day with exhaust. I know he hits the Wawa 2 miles down the road because i can hear the car to there.
I had a supercharged Thunderbird back in the 90s and used to go home in the middle of the night (between 1 and 3 AM) and a lot of nights I’d be going home at the same time as this engineer from IBM who had a 911 of some kind (whatever was very fast for a 911 back then). My T-bird was good for about ~150 or a bit more and I still remember the nights when our passing each other games would end with him getting bored or having too much fun and I’d be there watching my gas gauge drop by the 1/10 mile topped out and watching him walk away from me like I was standing still. We’d go over a hill and he’d be a quarter mile ahead of me, then over another hill and he’d be nearing a mile ahead of me. It’s never been as much fun to lose as it was with that guy back then. Me and my buddy loved watching that 911 disappear in the distance while I was doing the 140-150 dance. Those were good days. These days there’s too much population, too many cars, and too crowded roads to do anything like that “safely” (safely in that we’d be the only ones who would die) anymore. I was a stupid kid, that’s for sure. Grateful for my good luck surviving all the dumb things I did back then. There were at least 3 times where I had nothing to do with not getting myself killed by thinking I knew what I was doing. SOOO lucky!
Man every single time I hear that engine working it's way through the rev band I get goose bumps and every single time it makes me realize that Porsche is a god amongst car companies.
@@jonket9197 Also a really great channel know it for a pretty long time now. I'm from Hoogeveen where also SW Perfomance is located and they took the 1200hp R35 for a spin in one of their videos since then I started watching AutoTopNL :)

With the new super EV’s these will never be the “fastest thing on the road”….at least in a straight line, but of course we all know there is something about a high revving ICE engine to get the blood pumping that electric will never give us. Just never stop light race a Tesla Plaid. 😂
@@prettyboyzaneking luckily they still making em so youll havea reasonably recent model to choose from whenever you can afford it. Even if it takes a few decades
Omg the sound of this engine, I remember when they released it after the 997.2 which was already a symphony (and to be honest didn't think they would go even higher with all the headaches associated to it), those last revs, it gives me chills, if I was owning one of these, I think I would also have chills but thinking about the valvetrain and the forces in the bottom end ahaha. Thanks again, one day I will show this to my grand children and watch their reactions :D :D
My friend has a 991.1 GT3 RS and it is one of the most fun cars I've been in. He had a GT4 before this, and that was one of the best driving cars I've driven (haven't driven the GT3 RS yet). Both sound amazing and honestly worth it even though they aren't the fastest accelerating cars out there (not what they are made for)
We can tell your enjoyment in the video. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing. Wish I can afford one. Never get tired of that sound. The sound, vibration, and tactile feedback is key to the enjoyment of a car. Power can only take you so far. At some point power is scary and not fun because you can't test the limits without dying. That is why Miata and S2000 are great sport cars. It is insane how fast he closes in on cars in a on ramp off ramp.
Had the opportunity of driving one in Vegas (2 years ago) for my birthday. I remember going through the track and just hearing the symphony from the exhaust- only managed to get it to 115mph but would definitely drive one again ☺️
Thanks for playing the sounds in the beginning! This way I can hear that at normal speed so I know the true sound, then play the rest of the video faster
I guess I would choose a GT3 RS over a GT2 RS because of it’s fabulous atmospheric engine, soundtrack and 9000 rpm limit. The GT2 RS is no doubt a more exclusive proposition, but it’s power and performance are so extreme that it probably doesn’t make much sense in regular traffic on open roads. Luckily, the 911 range is well furbished and no one is going to feel cheated.
To answer....When it holds one of the fastest lap times on the Nurburgring, YES its a supercar. Btw the GT porsches have rear wheel steering 50mph and slower so thats one of the reasons you can turn on the dime without losing grip. I have a 991.2 GT3 and love it, will keep it for a very long time

911 is the ultimate car, and this is almost the ultimate version. Love it !! 91 degrees though wow, imagine how much power they make here in England where it's much cooler :-)
Always thought the gt3rs was more special. Gt2rs is obviously really cool. But at a certain performance envelope I have a hard time caring about how fast it is honestly and the general experience matters more. And that engine is awesome.
