I also agree with his points but he failed to argue for ghosts as well as he could. So many top tier names fit in that category from Sadako, the girl from the Grudge, the split mouth woman, and even the ghost Lady Dimitrescu is based on.

Joel's Banshee lore is so adorable and the addition by Juniper of the expressive ears is a great addition
so there is actually an example of that in the rosario vampire manga, it's a siren instead of a banshee though. In it's second season we're intro a siren girl who has to talk via a little note pad because her voice can hurt or even kill people if she talks.

I very much agree with Joel that "demon" is way too generic. Especially considering that both Imps and Succubi were on the list as well. Pretty much all demonic (I prefer 'devilish', tbh) monster girls are functionally succubi, anyway. I'd like to see some more variation beyond "hot chick with horns".
How about, for example, Pit Fiends? They'd be essentially a big, buff warrior lady with red skin and horns. Or an Ice Devil? Blue bug girl. I can even see a cute-ified Lemure as a sort of demonic slime with Hikikomori vibes.

It’s so interesting that I stumble onto this video, when I was doing this exact same kind of tier list last night. Only difference is I graded practically all the monster girls from the Monster Girls Encyclopaedia books (given I had two of the books, I was able to get a better grasp on each entry).

Hoo boy that's actually some Deep Lore, because kobolds were originally dog-like humanoids, which is what gnolls are, but they kept getting associated with dragons (mainly in RPGs) and there kept being text that said they worshipped dragons and that they believed they were descended from dragons, and over time people took that to mean they looked like dragons, so they became these little reptile guys (some RPG books still describe them as yapping and barking like dogs to this day). And then gnolls themselves popped up to kinda fill the original niche of kobolds and were Explicitly described as looking like hyenas, which is where the Interspecies Reviewers take on them with the girldick came from. What's fascinating is that the whole kobolds-love-dragons deal didn't really make it to Japan, so in Japan a kobold is still very much a dog person.
