game 2, serral has been using mutas on radhuset station in several high profile games, to devastating effect. i think clem thought he had the read on serral's build, but he pulled a fast one.
I literally watched another creator cast this series. Watching Winter's commentary made it like it was the first time watching the matches.

Serral's cheeky crouching zergling hidden roach play must have been absolutely terrifying as those medivacs were just leaving the base to go attack.
18:10 I don't think it was anything Clem saw. I think it was just that one of the games he lost to Serral earlier in the tournament was because he got destroyed by mutas on this map, so he assumed Serral would do it again.

That roach push on game 4 was hilarious cause, Serral absolutely hates roaches... And, soon as Clem seen it the realization of him just laughing out loud is what makes that match awesome and funny to me.

Every time I read a post about zerg being overpowered. I wonder what those people would think were Serral not to exist........because everything would be totally different in a crazy way.

I keep coming back to watching sc2, it is an interesting game to watch.
one critique, not just of this stream but all best of 7s (including chess), is if a player is up 3-1 and there's 15 mins left in the stream, it kind of gives away who won just by the fact they couldn't play 3 more games in the 15 mins

i agree with serral as goat for reasons stated, but also, one thing people never notice is that serral gets more death groups than anyone. so even when he wins or loses, it's usually harder than for everyone else. I do agree though that when reynor won his worlds, it was in a death group too.

The third game really highlights why I hate Queens so much. In game 2, Clem spent the whole game on the back foot because he left Serral alone to do whatever he wanted until around 6 minutes. In game 3, Serral was able to mass nearly 30 Roaches and do nothing with them for almost 8 minutes and Clem wasn't able to capitalize because a handful of Queens completely shut down his attempted scouting/aggression. If Clem had been able to get in there and find the roaches, that game definitely goes for a lot longer, but 5 Queens always seem to beat any Terran scouting party.

because a unit that has the same cost as a baneling but with 80 health, a larger splash radius, more damage (to the point it one shot stalkers) and that its splash 1 shot lings, banes, and wrokers, can target air, requires detection to be dealt with, and 2-3 of them can single handedly win a game while requiring tremendous amount of attention to be deal with while requiring minimal attention to use, is inherently and obviously unbalanced.@@IsaacFNghost

Clem is so good... and made so many smallish mistakes. He made Serral look very good, 3(+1) to 1 makes it seem closer than it really was imo. It seems like Clem couldn't handle the pressure of the game, and handed Serral wins. No one, not even Clem, can make mistakes like that against the GOAT.
Serral did plenty of mistakes as well, especially in the last game and still won. He didn't make Serral look very good, he is very good, man. Clearly your bets were on Clem but it doesn't sit right with me to downplay Serrals win here even if it was unintentional.

Mines are fine. They even do friendly fire, unlike half the other splash in the game. The second game was decided by fungals in the late game. Up until then Clem was only a bit on the backfoot but his win chance was nowhere close to 0.
what happened to sewer mermaid casts? there was an epic one with a double probe that hid in the oppenents base.... like... in the damn mineral line..... then he danced around the front as he warped in a pylon and cannons... on the main mineral line. noone even saw it

No anti-air for zerg is costing them wins imo. Terran medivac is the most powerful unit, and zerg lets them run around unchallenged. why no hydras? "He needs something to clear out Clem's air." I always found the 1 game lead in the finals total bs. The lower bracket finalist should have to win twice to win. Its bullshit the person who doesnt lose a match can get the table run on them and just lose once to lose the tournament while all other players (in this case, Clem eho already lost to Serral once) got to lose an entire match and still possibly win the tournament
I disagree. this isn't tekken. These matches can take 30 minutes each if both players go macro. it's just not feasible for the players OR the organizers to force the lower bracket player to win two sets in order to take the trophy.
